Hope U | Overall ExperienceThe mailbox was fine and the staff were always helpful and friendly. The office was not open for very long on the weekends which was difficult sometimes when I needed to pick up my packages. There were many times when I was stopping by and someone had let their dog poop in the parking lot, and had not picked it up. The mailbox rent was affordable when it was $10 per month, but after the price increase of more than 200% there was no way I wanted to continue my contract. Not to mention the requirement to pay 6 months up front. Especially since it is difficult to find a mailbox rental anywhere around Hilo, this seems like taking advantage of people who have no other way to receive mail. I will not recommend this mailbox rental to anyone.

WADE K | Overall ExperienceI've had my storage unit for about a year and I didn't have any complaints or issues with my unit. The prices are reasonable and staff members are very friendly and honest! This was my first time having to rent out a storage unit. One thing I liked about Affordable Self Storage is that they check to make sure all locks are on correctly at each unit. One day I apparently didn't lock my unit correctly and I was called by a gentleman (forgot his name & he was also the one who helped my bf and I apply and did a walk around the property of the different sizes to choose from) stating that my lock wasn't on correctly. Luckily I was still in town and I went back to correctly lock my unit. Thank you for your time and honestly!
