Had an appointment at 2 waited around 45 minutes..when I arrived I checked in with owner, he asked me to give him 10 minutes, & he would come get me. I gave him 20..my daughter was with me along with her boys in the back of the truck , she went to ask him how much longer, he again asked for 10 minutes ( after her standing beside him without recognition for atleast 2 min) he told her to dowload my license while i waited..so i did..we waited another close to 20 minutes without recognition from him still...he finished working on what he was then went to his desk without even motioning for me to come there..so i dediced to go in & i stood there for atleast a solid 2-3 minutes standing there looking at him without him saying a word..i verbal communicated with him, e again asked for DL , I explained I had already did this, then he asked for my card, I explained I had already did that too... finally i was getting irritated & asked what exactly do i do here? just go hook up & drive off? he said no I do it, well Ok! can we get it? then he asked where I wanted to deliver it back to...which of course i choose 5 miles down the road from me instead of going back to his buisness which was around 25 miles one way..then come to find out i was supposed to carry it back to him!! After a very lengthy conversation with uhaul & the dist manager they decided to not charge me the extra 70 bucks for the wrong drop off...this one my first time to rent uhual & seriously debating for it to be my last...the manager called at 930 at night which was inappropriate & his phone line was cutting out most of the 40 minute conversation which also had an echo & seemed unprofessional...& tried to defend the uhaul pickup place instead of trying to help me...ended up not being charged the extra 70 which I'm greatful for but OMGEEEEEZZZ!!

My reserved drop off location was in College Station (Texas Ave.) but they would not accept the truck and were very rude about it. They sent me to Asher Automotive, but they would not allow me to drop it off there either. I had to pay for extra gas to drive the truck 36 extra miles to finally return it in Madisonville. Terrible experience with my first UHaul rental ever - and it will definitely be my last. What's the point in making a reservation if it is erroneously changed at the last minute and then you are not allowed to drop it where it was reserved weeks in advance? For a company in the route planning business, you sure suck at it.

I returned my equipment on a Sunday while they were closed. The equipment was clean. I was subsequently charged a $15.00 cleaning fee on my credit card. This the second time I've had bad experience returning to this site... call me at 936-245-2322 if you want details.

No walk around was told it's the only 5x9 just hook up. Not too friendly. When first called was told he could not give prices he wasn't around his computer. Was told to call and make reservations at the 800 number. Not very helpful at all. If I wasn't in a bind I would have found a different place.

After getting to location the man had on knowledge of my scheduled pick up of the truck. Three different conformations were given over the phone from Uhaul before going to get the truck that it was all set up. Nothing had been sent to him from Uhaul showing I was to pick up the truck. HE HAD NO INFORMATION ON ME. He rented me the truck anyway. I WILL NEVER USE UHAUL AGAIN. It was messed up from beginning to end.

I reseved The auto transport atbthe college station location and they were awesome but had no car haulers .. the closest was Madisonville ...so we reserved it and went to pick it up ..after almost two hours trying to contact the store owner so we could pick up the trailer he showed up ... there was a guy there who was just another customer who said he never works except maybe thurdays .... that customer stated the owner just says come get a trailer when u need it and bring it back when your done ....after the owner finally showed up we paid and he said your trailer is out back you know how to hook it up ? I said Yes and we went and and loaded it up and drove off....it seemed of we were a major inconvenience to the owner of this U-Haul ... TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE we spent 250.00 on a trailer and were treated terrible at this location ...

No one came out to check me in. I unhooked myself and looked for someone to check me in. I was told he was busy and just leave they would check it in later that day.... they never did and I got message I was overdue.... not a good experience at all

Pickup was a Disaster. Check in with Uhaul was a Joke . Extra Hidden Charges were Unbelievable $35.03 Taxes and $23.56 For the use of my Credit Card are Unbelievable ! I picked the truck up . And a $1.00 Extra Environmental Fee is Ridiculous after all the Extra Charges . On top of everything your Vendor Never showed up when he was suppose to at 9:00 !

no one is hardly ever at this location. how does he do business for U-HAUL? would drive a hundred miles out of the way, rather than use this location ( actually did drive out of the way in July for a piece of equipment,waited for an hour and no-one showed to rent equipment)

I do not have a problem with this location. They were very helpful. My problem is with the uhaul website that confirms my reservation and then changes it to a town 40 miles away. Not sure if I will use uhaul in the future.

Their hours are posted and I dropped the truck off during those hours. The “open” sign was illuminated but no one was there. Instead, there were printed signs everywhere telling the customers where to park the truck - etc. I just feel like someone should be there so the customer can be sure the truck was checked in at the appropriate time. I'm happy to know that they had it checked in at the proper time so I wouldn't get charged additional fees, but I'm assuming it sat there awhile because I didn't get an email regarding my uhaul check in for a few days.

Owner was one hour late in opening. After paperwork was done he disappeared. My wife and I had to clean up the unit and load it onto the truck by ourselves. Not happy.

The sales representative at Xtreme Auto was attentive and thorough. He immediately noticed that our contract--which we could not receive until we had paid--was not itemized and that it contained an incorrect fuel reading. He then made the mistake of calling the corporate office to correct the problem. Not only did the corporate office keep the sales representative on the phone for an hour, but she was rude to both him and to us. We did not know what charges were made, nor did we know what they cost, but the representative yelled at us repeatedly to just "add up the costs," an impossible feat considering the contract did not list any charges. Our representative, again, explained there were no charges listed, but the corporate representative continued to insist the error was his fault, and she berated him even as we listened. Eventually, the corporate representative sent us copies of the two incorrect contracts we already had in our possession and considered the matter resolved. Our sales associate, after an hour of dealing with this corporate representative, was clearly frustrated and angry, but he maintained his composure even though the corporate representative he was put into contact with did not. She was condescending and rude, and she made no efforts to listen to our sales representative to resolve the obvious errors in our contract. In the end, our sales representative urged us to contact customer service to receive a single, corrected contract, and I immediately attempted to do just that. After being put on hold for 20 minutes, I sent an email to customer service with my request for a correct contract. It has been three days since I sent that email, and I have still not received a response from UHaul customer service.

Small towns often have only one person at the facility. This facility was also part of a audio shop and a car detailing place. When I arrived, there was no rep there from Uhaul. One of the guys detailing told me to drop the trailer in the lot. I unhooked it but my 6x12 cargo was too heavy for me to lift off the ball. (I'm 64) I was also afraid that I would drop it on my foot if I did get it off. One of the detailing guys came over and helped. At that time the Uhaul rep showed up in one of their trucks and all went well after that. The detailing guys were very helpful and courteous. So yes, overall the Uhaul experience was a good but not having a rep on site at the right time was a problem.

Management was not personable at all. It was as though they were doing you a favor by helping you. Would rather rent from the town 25 miles away than to deal with this rental store again.

Made appt to pick up trailer at this location. Was sent to another only to be told it would be 8 hrs after scheduled time before I could get trailer. Was given HOUSTON schedule #. They got me one but had to drive to madionsville to pick up over 30 miles. Horrible customer service at the college station store. Several others had same experience. Drove 3.5 hrs with 3 workers at $15 each to move my daughter back. Cost me xtra money and gas to do business with U-haul. Robert Reed has a very poor run franchise from what I experienced and see from others. I had made my appt 3 days in advance to keep all this from happening! Cab had muddy footprints on both sides, floor. Took extended time to get truck...partly due to previous uhaul certificate being wrong...but they had never used a certificate in 17 yrs. Pickup site dirty, so much so that worker advised using bathroom across street at the gas station!

I had a 9:30 appt. for pick up It was 10:30 before anyone showed up. I was told I would get a $50. refund if I called customer service. The day before I was to turn it in I called to extend it by one day. The $50 should cover it . I was told there would not be anyone there one the day I was to return it. Also they would not be there the next day either. Because of physical limitation I told the customer service person I would not be able to unhook the trailer by myself. I was then told I would not be charged the extra days. Instead I was charged $196.99. Up to this time I have always had great service from U-Haul, but this time it stinks.

Charged me 25 cleaning fee and i really dont know why. I think i may have left some mud on the tires of the dolly by accident and that is my fault but the truck was clean and swept out. I dont see how that costs 25 dollars. I have a feeling that these people may be fee crazy because there are signs all over their building about whatever fee they can come up with to charge someone next. I would recommend that anyone that drops here better make sure the truck is perfect and then scrub it again and hope you dont get charged the fee.

There was no personnel there. We waited 30 minutes and called Conroe. They told us to just leave the trailer. We did. Was just concerned because there was no one there to receive it. We arrived at 8:30 and left at 9:15 on Tues 12/6.

The folks in Madisonville were pleasant and wanted to help. However they were not trained on using your pos. Once I finally got someone on the phone from uhaul to walk him through the process (third call) other problems surfaced. The rep from uhaul was brusk and in my opinion rude. She talked down to the young man and simply made the situation worse. All while on my phone on speaker. She chided him almost scolded. He became more frustrated and threatened to refuse to rent the trailer. I was the only customer there and it took 90 minutes to do 10 minutes worth of business especially considering I made a reservation prior to going to the dealer. I had to ask for help to hook the trailer up. I'm still waiting to hear from uhaul about how I'm to be compensated for my trouble.

Been there twice in a month normal business hours this place is nasty and unkept, and there was no one there either time...its a detail shop ....last time I was charged $25 to clean a truck that I returned that was cleaner than when I picked it up! Madisonville, Tx UHaul Scam!!!

Three rentals in one month...no one was there, then I was charged $25 to clean a truck that I had already cleaned! Cleaned the cab out and vaccumed it the back was swept and clean too. Scammed for $25 (Go figure the drop off location is a detail shop)
