I was charged a full day rate for a 6 hr reservation....12p-7p. This almost tripled my reservation cost. Why was the vehicle entered into the system for the next day?

They didn't actually check in our vehicle when we turned it in. We had to call them the next day to get them to do it. So we ended up getting a late fee because they didn't remember to process the vehicle on time.

U-haul didn't have the equipment I requested in my reservation. I reserved a 17' truck for a local move. The truck I reserved went in for maintenance the day before and did not come back in time for the rental. The reservation guarantee on the U-haul site states, "if the truck I reserved is not available, I receive $50, and U-haul will provide me with another truck. I was provided a smaller truck because it was the only other one available, which required additional trips, and the $50 reservation guarantee is currently in dispute. U-haul feels they don't have to pay the reservation guarantee. Because of the extra trips I had to make, the mileage doubled and the movers required to be paid additional money.

My initial contract and arrangement was for a one-way pickup at U-Haul in Falls Church. The day before, I received an email telling me that the pickup would instead be in Alexandria. Apparently, things can be changed when the rental is one-way. Notice that a change dan occur should be provided at time of the arrangement/contract. If I had not had access to email -- or did not see the change -- the day before, it would have been a huge problem for my tight transport schedule.

Ripped off was sent a email I responded but apparently it was a automated email system. Uhaul had my telephone number and could have had a human call me to resolve the matter but instead charged me on the same card I initially paid with claiming that when you tried to charge on the rental date it was declined but that is untrue funds where available and I was charged a fuel fee when I personally replaced the fuel myself. I dropped off at the overnight drop box.

8:30am reservation and got the truck at approx 9:30am delaying plans for the rest of the day for my move. People on site didn't seem too concerned, but it didn't didn't appear to be uhaul employees since they told me to call customer service when the online registration didn't go through.

I had arranged to pick up the equipment at a location that was closer and much more convenient. Out of the blue, I received a message to pick it up at Wiygul Automotive Clinic. Wiygul’s was good, but I didn’t understand the sudden and inconvenient switch. The same thing happened with the drop-off location.

We had a guaranteed rental for a 15' box truck at 7:00am. We arrived exactly at 7 and were told that the internet in the building was out and that we should take a seat. The employee then left, informing us that he had to go pick up a set of keys from his girlfriend down the street, and did not return for 40 minutes. The only advice we were given was to call another location to try and secure a new truck.

Representatives were very knowledgeable of their products and services, customer service was impeccable, no hidden costs or fees, communication well as well as comprehensive skills were impeccable. I reccomend this Uhaul location very highly.

Was promised $50 discount for waiting around 3 hours, wasting me and my families Saturday. Then I barely had enough time to accomplish what I needed to and had to rush, thanks to lack of time with the vehicle.

The equipment that was guaranteed was not there. They told us to contact U-haul corporate - that corporate messed up the truck reservations. We reached out to U-haul corporate and they said we should have made the complaint at the site. The told us that there was likely nothing we could do. We were caught between a rock and hard place and forced to use the smaller truck or not be able to move at all. Because a much smaller truck was given to us then what was ordered (which was well in advance and guaranteed) we ended up making a second trip in the move. This cost us time with the movers that we had hired from U-haul and were forced to pay them for an extra hour (the movers were amazing though given the circumstances). In the end we ended up spending over $250 that we would not have had to if U-haul had given us the correct vehicle.

The attendant is very rude and does not pay attention to details. He was overcharging me for one day and was annoyed when I requested the adjustment.

My only complaint was the dolly I had reserved was not available and had to use a very cumbersome appliance dolly instead. Please make sure items reserved are available. Luckily my moving help brought one the morning of my move. Thank you.

We got no paperwork when we returned the truck. They charged us for extra gas which would not have happened if they checked us out properly. I had to call UHaul to dispute the extra charge. More of my time that I should not have had to use to resolve this. Overall this has been the worst experience I have had with UHaul and I was very disappointed. I have used UHaul for all my moves up until this point. I was happy that once I did call UHaul it was resolved quickly.

I had a guaranteed reservation at this spot for 10’ truck, but when I went to pick up the truck, there was no 10’ truck. This was a problem to begin with because I had scheduled movers & scheduled loading docks, and now I was running behind schedule. When we called customer service at the location, the customer service agent proceeded to tell us that the scheduling mishap was not her fault - all I know is that this was indeed Uhaul’s fault and a customer service agent represents the Uhaul. Then we were hung up on by the customer service agent. By the time a 10’ truck showed up, I was an hour behind schedule. This cost me additional for my movers. This was a terrible experience and uhaul hasn’t even reimbursed me the $50 back for a guaranteed reservation.

I will not recommend Uhaul to anyone that I consider a friend not due to either pick up or drop off, but by your moving help that I booked on your website. This has ruined me ever doing business with you again. You should not promote businesses that conduct themselves in a completely unsavory manner and expect a good review. I have never had a more stressful move and I have moved 4 times in the past 4 years due to work assignments. Absolutely horrendous.

I paid for a receipt, left the truck and went home with the intention of picking it up later. Upon my return, Sales person VERY RUDE. I had just renewed my DL and yes the DMV stamps it as ' void' as an indication that it was renewed. He told me that my DL could be suspended and he needed proof that I renewed it. Reallt? If I was a man I am sure he WOULD HAVE NEVER TREATED ME THAT WAY. Then to call the owner, to give me a speech at the door, looked at my son and made a comment " you are the brains that are just here to do the work" was very very condescending. Ordered 2 dolly did not receive them, I was told I would get a refund and I am still waiting. FIRST & LAST TIME.
