Dog kennel smells terrible and is very noisy. Hard to do business.

Have knowledgeable U-Haul staff. Not a dog kennel business renting U-Haul’s on the side. Provide customer service and then make it good. Have working equipment. When the equipment does not work as intended provide some satisfaction to the customer. Do not leave a repeat customer feeling they were cheated and don’t want to ever want to use U-Haul again.

We arrived close to quitting time and so the personnel left as quickly as possible. However we rec'd a text from U-Haul that made it seem that we hadn't done the paper work and since we didn't have anyone to ask, we had to return the following day only to find out that the text was some kind of mistake.

On the larger trailers it would help to have a jack stand the tongues are very heavy to lift the trailers on to the ball.

Very loud with dogs barking as it is a kennel too. Difficult to do business with. Offered a discount when I called then could not come through when I arrived in person. Had to explain twice that I was hauling a broken down car and not moving a house. With a 10 hour drive ahead, I had to wait as she chose my rental to train a new employee - no empathy. Then, 8 miles out, a tire on the trailer blew out leaving us broken down and waiting 90 minutes for a repair. Nail in the tire.

Overall experience was good. I do have two suggestions: 1. When I reserved the truck, I was told the gas tank would be full when I picked it up and I was expected to return it filled. At the time I picked up the truck, the fuel level was approximately 1/4 tank full. This required me to fill up. I’m 65 years old and doing this was a hassle for me. My intention was to have my friend, who was not with me at pick-up, drive the truck and have him refuel the truck before returning the truck. Not wanting to run out of gas in the middle of nowhere, I completely filled the tank. Consequently, the truck was returned with 1/2 tank of gas, instead of the required 1/4 tank. Which means it cost me approximately 10 gallons ($24) over what I actually used. That was just irritating. Not renting the truck with a full tank of gas seems sketchy, a way to make extra money in the form of unused fuel paid by me, the renter. 2. I wasn’t told I needed to go online if I wanted to drop the key in the drop box. I had trouble getting online. Then I realized I didn’t have my reservation number with me. It would be good to communicate that information at pick-up. Otherwise, my experience with personnel was very pleasant and the vehicle ran well. Thank you.

When a customer has a reservation, what is being reserved should be there and I shouldn't receive a call 20 minutes prior to pick that my reservation can't be fulfilled.
