I placed a reservation on Sept 13, 2019, I called on the 16th to check when I could set up an appointment for my car and to get an update as my email stated I needed to have my car inspected BEFORE I picked up my 20’ truck and my car transport. My reservation date was for the 20th of sept. I received a called Thursday morning the 19th and they said they had the truck but not the transport. I asked when they would have it they said Sunday instead of Friday. My original reservation date. I said well what do I do then? I’m moving out of state, I have to be there Monday and you won’t have the car transport til Sunday? They said well you can go pick it up in Lewistown where it’s at and we’ll comp the miles ? Mind you I’m in Billings, MT and Lewistown is 2hrs from me. So I would have to drive 4 hrs total round trip. Put GAS, DRIVE 55mph as thats as fast as you can go with a car transport. SOOO... if I wanted MY RESERVATION on the day I RESERVED IT, I HAD TO GO GET IT? But they said that there wasn’t another one in Billings AT ALL. When I asked why they can’t go get it themselves since it’s Thursday morning, so you have all day to have someone go get it!? And you guys have ALL of Friday to go get it in Lewistown? They said well there was an issue with dropping it off so that’s why it’s not here in Billings yet? Sooo then how can I GO GET IT??? Made no sense. So then I called uhaul back a little later.. I needed time to think about me actually having to drive to Lewistown to bring it back to Billings. I really needed BOTH the truck and the transport for the dates I RESERVED. I know things come up and stuff happens but when asking why it wasn’t available when I called earlier in the week about it? They said that your reservation is never guaranteed? WHAT THE HELL IS A RESERVATION FOR THEN?? Friday morning I get off work at noon because we had come to agree that I would pick up my truck on Friday load it up and then come back Sunday when they had the car transport and load my car up. So I walk into Uhaul Friday at noonish and I check in and they then tell me.. they don’t have the truck?! I say you don’t have the truck now? They said no we don’t we are still waiting on it. I said okay.. so what now? He said well we have the car transport here. ?? I said weird cus yesterday you didn’t have the car transport but you had the truck and now it’s vice versa? AND you guys said you would CALL me if by some chance the car transport got here before Sunday? And NO ONE HAS CALLED to tell me this?? He said yeah. LOOOONG SIGH!!!! So I wait around for 30 min, and he comes outside and says ok we have a truck for you. I said ok GREAT!! He said it’s just not here, it’s downtown (20 min from where we are) I said COOL! Now I get to go drive downtown when my preferred location was on Grand ave since I lived 5min walking distance from this Uhaul. Long story short I got my stuff on Friday and just picked the car transport up on Saturday because they said they would load it u

We were not aware this was a 24/7 drop off so the location could be just fine but no answer to calls and no one at location. UHaul did not explain the process so we got charged another day for having the truck turned in an hour later than required due to not knowing the process.

The location was an old cluttered, dirty gas station. I was told the owner was trying to sell the business. It appears they have no internist in improving the facility. The staff there were very helpful and went out of their way to accommodate my reservation. The truck they had waiting for me was not approbate for my reservation. it was one that was not to be taken out of state on a one way rental. They had to find one that would fill my needs. They found one and had it with only a slight delay. The lady handling the truck rental took good care of me. Also, the truck was dirty. The cab was not that bad, but the inside of the windshield was hazy; it had not been cleaned in a long time making it difficult to see at night. The outside of the truck was vary dirty. The front of the truck was covered with bugs, The windshield had not been cleaned, It was vary difucult to see when driving into the sun. I had to stop at the first gas station to clean it off. Front end alignment was off a bit, the steering kept pulling to the right. It was not critical but kept causing the truck to drift to the right while long stretches of the interstate. I am sure it is wearing out the tires.

The check in process was tedious, slow, and the Uhaul agent was very short and unresponsive. I will never use the self service again.

The lights stopped working. Customer service transfered me to different customer service representatives 6 times. No one helped me. I am disgusted.

computer information input at pick up location could be improved ...maybe use a printed bar code would speed things up

Went smoothly. Truck did OK for high mileage.

I did mobile checkin but took over an hour part due to I was told I needed more verification which was 300+ miles away. I got bounced around to a few different people on the phone and then was told to start the process over. The only thing that saved me from flipping out is that the owner of Wilson Dunham Conoco called and said that he noticed I had checked out. He then helped me and it went smooth. Except I didnt get dolly or packing blankets but I said I didnt need them so he took them off however I believe I was still charged.

Computer issues caused a delay of over 30 minutes. Perhaps some training would eliminate future problems.
