Your IT systems and logistics systems are terrible. You moved me to a far away location and then told me to check out the truck electronically when there was no electronic check in at the location in Statesville. The only reason I got the rental on the day I needed it is because of the good personal and HUMAN service of the people at Wholesale Direct in StatesvilleJoseph K.

I reserved a 10' truck at this location and upon arrival to pick it up I was told they didn't have it and had to rent a 15'. I was also concerned about acquiring extra fees, I told them I would return it Saturday (Friday pick up) and the paperwork said I was returning Friday by 8pm. Upon realizing this at drop off I asked the customer service worker if I would be charged additionally and he seemed to be completely clueless and told me no, I don't think so. I will not return to this location for any future uhaul needs.VICTORIA R.

I was told I would be able to pick up my Uhaul with a mobile check in, in which I would use my phone to take pictures, record the number of the truck, and find out the location of the keys. I was told I could do this at 8 am, when I requested it, even though the building that housed the Uhaul did not open until 10. When I arrived, I was not able to do this. When I called the number, several numbers, for Uhaul, I was told that the people at this location did not properly put the key where they were supposed to for mobile pick up. However, the representative on the phone was also short with me and at no point was I apologized to. Therefore, I had to wait for 2 hours, after getting there at 8 am, to get my truck at 10 am. When we finally could get the truck, the location they sent me to did not have a furniture dolly, which was in my reservation and I had already paid for. I therefore had to get one in Mooresville. Overall, I had a very poor experience and will never use Uhaul again or recommend them to anyone, especially this location.Phillip S.

Put fuel in before returning and was charged an outrageous amount saying it wasn't filled to the exact amount which is crazy!! Drove less miles than paid for didn't see anyone offering a credit for that. Won't use uhaul again will go with Penske for future needstracy B.
I needed an appliance dolly which I reserved on-line but they didn't have any. Also, the van had a bunch of old newspapers in the back as well as debris on the floor. I brought it back cleaner than it was.Frankie M.

Very unprofessional, I had a reservation and no one was available for time that it was made, I had to return to the store because the dolley that I paid for was not on the truck. I will he can canceling my upcoming reservation. I will never rent from there again, I will take my money elsewhere and get better service.Rosita J.

Used to rent here all the time but probably won't after this last experience. Was told I would only be charged for 1 day but was charged for 2 instead. Had an overall bad experience. Made the reservation personally and was 15 minutes late and they had already canceled my reservation without even calling Me to check. Had to make a new reservation and it was double the amount quoted on the original one. The lights on the tow dolly did not work. The clerk never helped with the hook up of the trailer so there was no way of testing the lights before I left since I was by myself. He simply walked outside and pointed out the tow dolly for me. I was told they would be open until 7, and I went there expecting to speak to someone before I picked up my rental. I got there at 6:45 and no one was there. This didn't cause any problems because I was able to get my rental, but I would have preferred that someone from the location were there to acknowledge that we had picked it up.Andrew P.

I had to pay for miles, so it would have been better/cheaper for me if I could have picked up the truck at the 2329 Davie Ave location. It seems strange to me that the pickup was at a used car lot and the only u-haul vehicle on the lot. Other than that, everything went smoothly.wes M.
Called Fri asked for Mooresville Nc guy asked me what time for pickup- Requested 10:0 am hired movers for 3 hrs-went at 9:30- they had NO Trucks- said I was booked for Troutmanâ€”& someone was suppose to call me from that location- I said r u SURE they have truck she said YES- got there No Truck till after 12:00â€“they clised at 12:30-she called someone who found truck in Statesville- we finally returned to movers at 11:45-had to pay them and thry had to leave 1 hr later- they had another job- cost us $175.00 cause u hauls systems Does Not work- worrst experience we Have ever had-lady in Troutman did her best to help us- will NEVER use Uhaul again.rita B.

The pick-up truck we rented rode well, was comfortable, despite having 3 adults in the front seat. Our only negative experiences were: 1. It was very high off the ground making it near impossible to get in for me, as I am handicapped and often, though not always, confined to a wheelchair. There was no other pick-up available that might have made the experience better and seriously, they need more choices! 2. The gas consumption of that little truck was horrendous!!! We did a total of 15 miles and it used over 2.7 gallons of gas! (The replacement cost of $5.50 (@ $2.07/gal.) was ridiculous for only 15 miles, not to mention the per mile charge added for use! We paid for it triple for those few miles -- 2 and 2/3 gals! In the rental fee, the replacement gas and the per mile fee!) While I'm at it, we paid $21 rental fee for 4 hours of use, plus those add-ons! All totalled it came to a pre-payment of $54 with only a $10 refund yet to be received, for returning it earlier than the 4 hour rental we had contracted for. Once I got home from the site, I took a small step-stool with me to ease getting in and out of the truck. This should have been provided by the rental agent. Not everyone has the leg-length of a 6'+ man!! We have many more items to move but we won't be renting that truck again! We will get a closed in van/truck next time. Also the manufacturer of that Chevrolet truck will receive our comments and the usability of that truck. Definitely NOT meant to assist in moving furniture. It took every inch of bed space to move 6 dining room chairs and 1/2 of a metal bunk bed and we feared something would fall off. We aren't professional movers and it showed, but still we expected more than it provided. Not easy to use. Also we won't recommend it to others. My boyfriend wants to buy a pick-up but guaranteed it won't THAT Chevy product after this experience!!! I should state that it was a new vehicle -- 2018 model with barely 7800 miles on it!ronald F.

Make sure the individuals check for reservations before renting uhauls out and make sure you have one person that does the uhaul rentals instead of someone who has 2 -3 jobs to do so it don't take so long to get waited onStacie L.

I was charged twice for the use of my truck when I called and spoke to the rental manage, Andy, he talked over me and did not allow me to explain what I needed from him before telling me that it wasn't their fault, it was mine and told me I should call the company. When he did finally allow me to explain, he did not refund me my money even after agreeing that I was indeed charged twice. I was in contact for multiple days after turning the truck in with both the regional uhaul people and corporate fighting to get my money back. I was informed after two days of calling and getting attitudes from Debbie, Amy, and Allison at the regional office that my case had been resolved although none of them could tell me how it had been resolved or what had been done to pacify me. I also still did not have a refund. All three of the the previously mentioned ladies kept referring me to the regional manage, Dan Wilkins, who convienently was never in the office and would not call me back. They stated that he called me once on 9/25 at 9:34 am from a blocked personal cell phone number and he did not leave a voicemail or even attempt to call me back, so how does that make sense. No one emailed me, or even tried to call back from any number associated with uhaul itself . It is now five days after uhaul charged me twice and I have to speak to the manager or get my issue resolved. When I called corporate, they said that I would still have to deal with Dan Wilkins first and then if he didn't fix it to call back, but they did unresolve my dispute file so that someone still had to work on it. I should not have to fight this hard to even be heard or get a call back when they say they are here to serve the public. I would not recommend this uhaul location or any other at this point to anyone. I'm bothered that Debbie, Amy, and Allison all tried to the act like I was blaming them specifically for what happened when I was referring to uhaul itself. There are recorded calls, and I wish I had asked for copies but this is ridiculous. Uhaul took an extra $150 from me and it doesn't matter to them that they overdrew my account or anything. NO ONE has even bothered to listen.Abrianna T.

Lot is tiny and difficult to manuever with a trailer. Had to wait for a third person (who worked there) to move his vehicle before we were allowed to drop the trailer (they did not even offer any alternative, like to drop it on the side of the building -where the utility u-haul truck was parked, & they could move it later). Very risky in such a tightly packed lot! We also got nails in two of our tires from this lot. Dirty, poorly maintained, tightly packed with inventory â€˜for-sale' used vehicles, and inattentive employees who work at their leisure. Passed many other locations which were much nicer to go where U-haul suggested. Really bad spot!RITA T.

I called the 1-800 number regarding my reservation Saturday morning to change the pickup location as U-Haul had scheduled it for 30 minutes farther away than where I was going. I was given a new location and told I could pick it up anytime that day, the truck was there. When I got there to pick it up at 11:45, I was told my reservation was at 11:00 and they had let my truck go. I told them what I was told but they would not give me a truck there even though there were several sitting in the parking lot. They said they only held them for an hour after the pick up time but it had not even been an hour and I was not told I had to pick up at a certain time. So I still had to drive an extra 40 minutes to get a truck. Very disappointing and I will likely use a different company next time.ALISON M.
