The location is at a very busy convenience store with only one employee on duty. I had to load and hook up trailer by myself. No assistance from anyone inside the store.

I was charged an additional $81 for the rental when it was returned. I was charged for gas and extra mileage even though the rental equipment I received were faulty. I had to call Roadside Assistance on 3 different occasions during this move due to the faulty equipment and should have been given a credit for the rental instead of being charged more. Due to all the issues I had with the equipment, I will not be using Uhaul again.

Make sure the truck is ready for the next customer. There was a lock on the truck and no one could remove it because it was left by the last renter which tells me no one look at or cleaned this truck.

I rented the trailer on 7/16. I dropped it of on 7/20. I just received the receipt that said I did not return it until 7/23 and therefore I was charged an extra day. That is false.

I had truck set to be picked up at 7 am. Store didn't open until 9 am.. I paid $200 for helpers that didn't even move anything bc we didn't have the truck.. then for some reason uhaul over charged me.

Scheduled for pick up at 8 am. The location was supposed to be open at 6am. No one arrived until after 9am. No one answered the phone or even tried to assist with the delay in time.

The cab smelled like cigarette smoke. It wasnt filty, but it wasnt clean. The driver side mirror was loose and wouldn't stay in place, which was not safe. Turned it in a couple hours over 24hrs and was charged an extra day. I get it, but I dont like that.

The people I encountered were friendly here, but this obviously isn't a dedicated U-Haul location. Therefore, the checkout process takes a little longer on the associate's phone app and it is impossible to read what you are agreeing to (signing) - not that anyone actually reads that stuff. If you're not comfortable hooking a trailer to your vehicle, you may need to ask for help with that at this location.

I made a reservation 2 1/5 weeks in advance only to be informed (at pickup) that someone who made a reservation 5 days prior was promised the equipment I reserved. I was sent to a different location 30 mins away for pickup. I contacted U-Haul and was lied not once but twice. First, I was told that someone talked to me about the change. This is 100% untrue. Secondly, I was told that I was bumped because the other person made their reservation before me. This is 100% untrue. I verified this with the help of on-site staff who looked up the reservations and compared dates side by side. At the new location, the staff was nice but not helpful. They did not leave the building to assist in any way ie. look at the condition of the trailer or help connect the trailer to my truck and they had a very hard time with the phone app to complete the process. My return time was bumped up from 9pm promised at the original location to 5pm at the second location. I knew this would be different to meet but I had no other choice. I arrived for drop off at 5:05 and was charged for an additional day. Overall, this is a horrible process and absolutely no way to treat a customer. I would 100% never recommend U-Haul to friends/family. My poor experience will get passed along to others when asked about our move.

Overall this was a good experience with the exception that I had to hook up the trailer and unhook the trailer myself. The person running the gas/food store where it was rented, was busy running the store. The trailer was not swept out well which I found out when I got to the location to load the trailer and opened it for first time. It was not bad, but definitely some dirty in the tralier. Pick up and drop off were still done relatively quickly.

Before I rented I reported a dirty truck and lower than expected fuel level. I Have more dated pics to prove . After I turned it in I was charged for the dirtyness and low fuel myself. $154, Also never got my $100 deposit back from the first rental a week prior, niiiiice

I checked in. The guy at the counter called someone because he couldn't find the trailer number in the system. The gentleman on the phone was very kind. He emailed the receipt to me immediately. As the clerk walked out with me to show us where to park it he said we had to unhook it. I explained that my husband had just got out of ICU yesterday and was on oxygen. His response was he couldn't leave the store. Then he told me he would have to charge me $20. Now we were all of 25 feet from the front door, there was no other customer and I had to wait for him to wait on me while he went out the side door to look at some guys car. Also my contract was already closed so where exactly did he plan on putting that $20 he was going to charge me. As a result of my husband having to do it we had to sit for approximately 10 minutes while he tried to breathe. We had originally rented the trailer from Addison IL about a week earlier. That evening is when my husband was rushed to the hospital. I had to bring it back the next day and Jessie unhooked it without me asking. He was also fantastic.

I showed up 5 mins after there opening time and no one at all was present so I left the vehicle in a safe spot and locked it dropped the keys in the drop box. I WAS STILL CHARGED A AFTER HOUR SERVICE CHARGE WHY?? If they were at fault for not opening at the indicated time

That said, our initial reservation with Uhaul at the Woodstock location was a disaster. Went to get the truck (reserved Saturday late through Sunday late). Was told we had to submit a copy of the driver's license via a link sent to us previously. Told them we had not and I did not have my iPhone. Was told it had to be submitted. As I left was asked if I was cancelling. Told them "No I'll pick it up in the morning." Got home and had received another notice on my iPhone to submit my driver's license via picture. Called the Uhaul and asked if we could downsize to a 20' truck when we picked it up Sunday morning. Was told they had cancelled my reservation, the truck was no longer available and they had no other trucks. Called corporate. Nice woman listened and found us a 20' truck elsewhere. Curiously the Uhaul web site stated the originally reserved truck was available Saturday and Sunday, as was a 20' truck both at the Woodstock site. We did get a truck Sunday but not from the Woodstock site...although there were trucks there. Corporate customer service informed me it was all a miscommunications. Really???? Obviously no security tapes were listened to where I specifically told them not to cancel the reservation, nor was the Uhaul web site referenced that said- contrary to their employees- that the truck and the 20' were available for rent on Sunday. Will not use the Woodstock site again although we have used it numerous times in the past and will only use Uhaul as a vendor of last resort going forward.

The Lady that helped us was outstanding. The overall service and experience were great. Only concern was the email we received from UHaul . When we first booked we received an email to call a number to confirm. Tried to call and confirm our reservation, phone only rang over and over. We then drove to the location and the lady said the number we were given was not the right one. You might want to update your internet records and number on emails.

Its unfortunate that you sent me to a convenience store/gas station to rent anything. Between waiting on customers and trying to retrieve my info on his phone, it took over 30 minutes to pickup the trailer. In addition, I had to get someone in the parking lot to help me attach the trailer to my car.

I had to clean the bed of the truck before I could use it. The floor was covered with about 0.5 of dirt and leaves. Also there was an oil like substance on the walls and floor.

Cashier was fighting with me about the return process. I completed it on my app and she kept telling me that she needed to get pictures. Like I was supposed to be the one to go get them when I already did everything. Plus she was on the phone with a family member while handling my transaction. Just a horrible experience.

How about telling me that you changed the location of my pickup????? I understand that a reservation does not guarantee that it will be at the specific location requested but how about telling me beforehand. No email, no text, no call.
