Octavia QuinnCompared to other U-Haul locations we have used and trucks we have rented, this was not a good experience. The real problem was the U-Haul app, which crashed twice while we were picking up, then said the truck was dispatched even though we didn't know which truck we had or where to get the keys from the pick-up box. When dropping off, the app crashed again and we never knew for sure if we had successfully stopped our time and the rental was checked in. The truck was fine--not particularly clean--but had some prior damage that we didn't have a chance to note since the app crashed. All in all, very frustrating.

Nodie Hrenchirthe 3 dozen packing blankets I reserved were not in the truck. I had to spend 15 minutes on the phone with Uhaul, and then drive to a different location in the opposite direction to pick them up. That was a huge inconvenience in my very tight moving schedule.

Kayla SwingleThe experience was a mess the place we picked the U-Haul up from looked like it should be condemned, I was given the wrong key to start off with and had to get my reservation changed to the truck that I had the key for. I then went to return the U-Haul and the info hadn’t even gotten switched over to the new U-Haul which caused the mileage to be very off. I called immediately to resolve this and was handed off to four different people and waited on hold for over 15 mins finally speaking to someone only to be put on hold again before the call dropped there was no attempt to call back so I had to call and wait again. When I finally spoke to someone they told me someone would call me in the morning and made no attempt to resolve the issue and no one ever did. So I reached out again the next day and FINALLY spoke to someone named Tyler who was able to help me and even called to let me know it was resolved. Tyler was the only good part of this experience as he genuinely cared and quickly resolved the issue.
Katherine CarneyThe drop off location wasn't a great experience but this is a place that works on cars so I am not expecting it to be clean and inviting. We used the after hours drop off so we did not have an interaction with any personnel.

John PerezPlace was a small, run down old corner gas station turned used car, UHaul, mechanic repair location. Small cluttered office. One desk for the owner. The other cluttered desk was being used by a mechanic working on repairing a battery. Grinding noises coming from around back. Other than office, windows covered up from the inside with plywood, metal sheet (?).

margaret NolanNo one there to return our truck to. There was hardly room to park on their lot. A mechanic from the shop finally came out after we were welcomed by a dog first and took our key and information. We then took a picture of the miles and left the truck there with the shop.

Scott MummaThis location is a used car dealership with lots of older used vehicles on the lot. My vehicle was on the street. There wifi was weak and it took way too long to load photos onto the mobile check-in. I wasted more than 30 minutes and still am not sure my final two photo submissions were received.
DAVID JOHNSONThe truck bed was dirty with what looked like fertilizer. I hosed it out. The truck drives very nice and is comfortable. The owner of this location is very friendly and helpful.

Kevin Zavala MartinezThe allowable mileage was low, 366 miles, which was fine if I wanted to travel thru the mountains with a winter storm advisory in effect. Actual miles on the safer freeway was 392, then the return location was 20 miles away, resulting in a $30 upcharge for mileage. Drop off location was good but they couldn't make changes to the mileage on the contract. This was my worst experience with U-Haul so far, I'm not particularly happy with the untrained staffing.
DANIEL DE SHANEIt was the quickest frip into a uhaul dealer I have ever had. Been using ihaul for 40 years. DAVE is exceptional.

Returned the uhaul the night before prior to closing ( should've gotten some type of discount but was charged the full rate for the next day) originally offered drop off available at booking ( closer for conveyand gas ) was NOT available once I reached pick up location AFTER booking. Daniel SeloveYour return a truck by phone is worthless. Not only does it not work but it can’t even pick up location from the phone even if it is enabled. Being able to do this could have prevented me from waiting 30 minutes in hot sun for the agent to be available

Robert JonesOnline check in is literally the worst. The location of pick up was great but the online customer service and the overall experience for pick up and drop off was ridiculous online.
Alonna OlesonI was changed to this location almost last minute. Not only that, the location was a bit more further than the one I had scheduled for. I had to call and request extra mileage because the change was not done by me. When I arrived there, no customer service person was there, in fact, the location was closed so I had to do mobile pick-up (no big deal) but on top of that, I had rented a dolly which was not in the truck or nowhere around the area. I had to call again and tell them to remove it because they wanted me to pick up a dolly somewhere else. Bad experience in all of that, but the mobile pick-up was easy.

JULIE ANNE AMADORThe lots was a junk yard of old cars. A terrible neighborhood. The truck was like driving an ash tray, smelled so bad we had to drive with the windows down. Truck shimmied and shook on the freeway when we went over 50 mph. Tried to call the 800 number and wait was 30 minutes to get someone on the phone. Funny how someone can message back and forth right away but no one to answer the phone.
Sara CarterThis was a one truck location. The gentleman was not there upon arrival and I had to check in through my phone. The truck wasn’t in the best condition and the back gate was broken and I didn’t realize until I left for the day. I tried to extend the truck to another day since we had more to do than anticipated and was unable since oh yeah it’s their only truck. When I returned with the truck the guy wasn’t there again for me to even explain the issues I had with the gate ect. And to top it off the cost was a little out of hand. Wasn’t a great experience overall.

Tyler SeutterAlthough my experience with U-Haul in general was extremely poor, associate at West Main was the exception. He was super friendly, I couldn't get the app to work and he was happy to check me in on his phone. He was also patient when I had to go get gas around the corner.
