Actually answer the phone when a customer is calling to pick up their uhaul and the lock box won't open to even get the keys. Terrible customer service. Ended up not using the truck at all and having to go to a different location because us and another couple couldn't get the lockbox to open with the code they gave us.Mackensie M.

Continently located, but the pick up process was incredibly difficult. I was not aware of the one hour window for pick up after hours, was unable to access the appropriate website prompts, and was unable to get in contact with anyone who worked for Uhaul the night I was supposed to pick up. The following morning I called at 7am and was on hold for 30min prior to reaching someone and then spent over 30min trying to gain access through the website at the pick up location before downloading the app using cellular data (the "free wifi" option at the pick up location didn't work) and finally getting the information needed to pick up the vehicle. In the future, it would be helpful to know in advance that the app is more reliable than the website and to have some idea of the steps that need to be taken in order to pick up after hoursJeff R.
I was scheduled to pick up my trailer at 11am. The facility opened 40 minutes late due to the one U-haul rep being at a doctors appointment and being under the weather, which I do have compassion for. However, I didn't leave the facility until 12:15pm after the employee hooked the trailer to my truck. Then, on my way to return the trailer to another location later that afternoon the trailer came unhitched from my truck on the interstate. It was not properly secured to my vehicle!! I was fortunate to get my truck and trailer to the side of the road and waited 90 minutes for roadside assistance. All in all, I terrible U-Haul experience. 2.5 hours of wasted time, not to mention an almost catastrophic accident that all could have been avoided. For the next customer, be sure to confirm your trailer is properly secured by the representative before you pull away!!Brannen D.
U-Haul order AF0F92EC. This order was needed for a move on 5/1/21 which was done via trailer 5/1/21. This was done through U-Haul so they knew when I was moving. I was sent only the ball and charged the full amount on 4/19/21. After 5 days of not hearing anything, I called customer service and was told that there was a 2-3 week back order on a product that I needed (and U-Haul knew I needed based on my reservation history) in 7 days time. I had to frantically search for a mount because nobody at uhaul felt The need to tell me that the item crucial to my move wasn't available for my move. So, after cancelling the order I had to go through the process of waiting in the phone, i was told I could only return in person. Come to find out you have this freaking product IN STORE. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. I drove 20 minutes out of my way to a U-Haul. Your U-Haul refused to refund my hitch ball after I was informed by your customer service that if I gave them my receipt it would be taken care of. When I got there, they said they didn't do refunds. After 20 minutes of waiting and coaxing, they finally agreed but they couldn't find the number to my order. Apparently it's not on the receipt. During this entire process I had already gotten on the phone knowing I would have an issue. I was on hold for 30 minutes and no indication when your company would even answer the phone. He said he could not approve the refund without getting y'all on the phone but you weren't answering. Additionally, since I had been in your store or teaceling fk your store for over an hour, I needed to leave. When I asked if I could give him the info over the phone, he said he wouldn't do it over the phone. When I said I had already been there for 45 minutes he said â€œnot my fault. Not my problemâ€. Is this really how you guys work? I'm an established U-Haul customer with consistent use of one of your products for close to 10 years now. At this point, I will go out of my way and pay more money to use another company but yours. What an unreal experience you guys have put me through.Austin A.

The lot for drop off was way too small to maneuver a 12 foot trailer to drop off, because there's only one entrance/exit and not wide enough with all of his other rental returns sitting there. They have after hours drop off, but with the lot being small, and then having their other gates closed after hours, it's impossible to maneuver. We were able to unhook the trailer and pulled it behind a truck also parked in the equipment return spot. It was very arduous to move it manually, but because of the position of things on the lot, I could not back it in anywhere and just leave it where it was unhooked. It was also impossible to back out of the lot once I pulled in due to it being on a busy road in the dark and thunderstorming, so I couldn't switch to another location at that point. I was also told roadside assistance couldn't help with any of this. I told the support agent on live chat (Jorge Toste) that I had to leave it behind another truck in the drop off/return spot because we physically could not move it anywhere else, and the lot wasn't maneuverable. About 20 minutes after I left it at the location, the owner of the location called me upset. He said that I blocked in a truck that was to be picked up in the morning (their hours said they were closed on Sunday, but he said he had 24hr pick up) and now he was there in the rain in dress attire, and at 60 years old, couldn't maneuver it. Him saying that to me, the customer who was still soaked completely from being in the rain for about an hour trying to figure it out myself, really rubbed me the wrong way. I explained that there was no way to back it in because he had the gate closed (that would have given me more room to pull over at an angle and then back in). I told him I had talked with support, and had no choice due to his small lot being so full in the return section. I emailed pictures of the lot and the truck parked in front of the equipment return sign to firstname.lastname@example.org. The owner said he guessed he understood the predicament, but still tried to make me feel guilty by saying he was going to lose out on a $1k rental. I didn't appreciate being made to feel like I had done something wrong when there was literally no way to back my truck up at an angle, and then basically being told I was costing him $1k due to his own poor planning with the organization of the lot.Mary B.

Horrible experience. We dropped our trailer off one day EARLY on 4/2/21 and yet this location charged us for late drop off! No one was there when we dropped off at 11:30 on a Friday. My husband followed instructions to drop off with no one there. Received a bill for $91.56 for a late drop off...really? Still trying to fight this. Calling UHaul customer service yet again because the area manager who was meant to call me never did. I've been on hold for 45 mins so far. I don't understand why customer service could not help me with this in the first place. So frustrating when you do the right thing and then get charged for doing the wrong thing! Very unlikely I will use UHaul again.Phill L.

A cleaned and sanitized truck due to Covid 19. There was a cup and bottle of liquid in the truck. A Large piece of Plastic in the cargo. No hand truck with my truck. I had to go to another location and pay AGAIN for a hand truck. The location was way out of my area. I called customer service to be refunded and was given a hard time. Was also informed that there would be no compensation for my inconvenience, time and gas. Moving is already hectic and this was the icing on the cake!Kenyia W.
Location is a small car lot. Driveway is full of water filled potholes. There is no marked parking. I asked a man who was working in the lot if I could leave my car in a spot for 2 hours while I used the truck. They said that the lights were not working on the trailer because something was wrong with my connection not the trailers. So I went to Walmart and bought some stick on lights with to stick them on turns out the last person who rented this had done the same thing so they rented me a trailer with no lights complete stressful situation on an already stressful situation. I reserved a dolly with my truck reservation. When i arrived, I was told that my dolly had been rented out. As a result, i had to stop and buy a dolly. This was an inconvenience, as I'd hoped to go straight from the UHaul dealer to my home.Katherine H.
