The staff at this location were so friendly and helpful. This was our first time renting a uhaul and we will always go back to this location. I do not remember the name of the staff member we talked to but she was so friendly, kind and helpful!!

When booking online rental paid for and requested 1/2 dozen furniture pads and there were none provided noe in the truck. Also since trucks are so old and do not have back up camera, I would also highly suggest adding an additional mirror that would show you behind the truck as it is completely blind back there and so very dangerous. Can I be credited for the charges for the furniture pads I paid for but did not receive?

The truck we actually rented was not ready for us - there were no keys anywhere in it. Luckily the one next to it - which was the same size - had the keys left in it, so we took that one and everything worked on. Just an FYI for your own employees - make sure you're leaving the keys for the right vehicles.

Ensure the reserved rentals are held for a reasonable amount of time! I was due to pick up my truck at 8am. I spoke with Tracy (very nice) at this location on Friday afternoon for this Saturday morning pickup and she left off with "see you in the morning". I had over an hour drive to get to Pawcatuck and began calling at 7am when I knew I was running late. I tried again in route around 7:30, 7:45, 8, 8:10, 8:20, finally at 8:33am a man picked up and informed me that my reservation had been transferred b/c I was a no show at 8am and that this was the last truck he had. Needless to say, after driving for an hour, I was less than pleased. Only wen I pointed out that I had prepaid the rental around 7am did he come back on the phone and say that they would see me in 20 min and that they would have to figure something out for the other guy. Beyond comprehension! When I arrived, the man said to me "good thing you prepaid" which blew me away. I asked how he thought it was appropriate to reassign a rental when it had only been 30 min (the time they finally answered the phone) without calling the cell phone they had on my order etc etc...Needless to say, there was no good answer! Insanely frustrating morning. After leaving, I had to pull in to a gas station to clean THE INSIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD with a squeegee!! Very frustrating reservation process with UHaul on this one which had me second guessing the next time I need a rental anyway but this Pawcatuck location/experience may have sealed the deal. If anymore cares to hear more I am willing to chat with a manager.

the people at this location didn't know how to log onto the system, they were not prepared when i arrived even though i called ahead both 2 days before arrival and the day of. we had to wait 30 minutes. while they tried to figure it out.

Equipment was terrible. AC is broke (on a 90+ degree day), one outlet for charging accessories was non-functional. Windows were filthy & hard to see through. No truck even near the size needed was not on site as promised but out on the road. Had to wait hours for the unit. This is after being sent to THREE other facilities of which not one had was was promised "to be on-site & available". U Haul communications systems is abysmal for equipment tracking. While the West Store business is a glorified junkyard the owner/manager was quite personable, apologetic, and helpful by not charging for two hand trucks & 30 moving pads hence the ONLY reason I would recommend this location to a friend. BUT with U Hauls tracking issues I will be hard pressed to ever recommend U Haul to anyone but an enemy. I "lost" 6 hours of loading time because I had to chase down a truck at three locations. I (The Customer) have to find YOUR equipment!!!! Ridiculous!

This experience with UHAUL was extremely troublesome. Not only was the pick-up location over an hour from my residence and even further from my destination, when I arrived to pick up the tuck for my scheduled 8:00am appointment, there was no staff on site. When I attempted to inquire about this pick-up location, I was merely give some policy directed answer-no accountability on UHAUL. It should be noted in my account, that I was under the impression I was picking up my UHAL in Manchester, CT which was only 10 minutes from my move. This pickup process as well as having to wait for the staff at this location created many barriers to my moving day-which we know is already a stressful situation. I would recommend to those looking to secure UHAUL reservations to ask questions-otherwise you will simply be disappointed. I for one will not be booking again with UHAUL anytime soon!

Problem was with uhaul.com I guess and not this location in particular. We reserved/confirmed trailer a week in advance for Westerly, RI location, day before they decided to change us s to Pawcatuck, CT location (further away), the evening before they called and told us they decided they would be closed (due to locker tag sale at their location) Spent HOURS on the phone with Uhaul on hold, being transferred - Traffic Manager acted like she was doing me a favor by helping me secure a trailer that we had reserved a week prior. In the end, learned that you cannot rely on your confirmed reservation with UHAUL 1. that they will actually have a trailer or 2. that the location will actually service you and your reservation.

Sketchy place, did not inspect the vehicle with me, gave me the wrong key, totally disorganized, filthy dirty, creepy. The truck was in bad shape, had no gas cap, very shaky driving over 40 MPH. Would never go there again and wouldn't have kept the vehicle if I weren't desperate and on deadline.

It's not clear where to park the u-haul, and when we arrived a man with no identification said he worked there and parked it for us. I think having a list of employee names or something would be helpful because we were unsure if he was even the appropriate person to give the keys to.

I had to wait for over an hour to pick up my vehicle because the person that rented it before me was 3hrs late in returning it. Don't know what West Stor Mini Storage could have done to prevent this, but it was pretty irritating as a customer.

Remote, a bit run down, looks almost like a junk yard instead of a professional storage facility and UHaul affiliate.

This whole experience was a nightmare! This was actually the THIRD place I'd tried to rent a truck from. On top of that, I had originally rented a 20' foot truck - I was given a 15' truck. I actually had to go through your corporate office to get a truck for the day I wanted and I ended up being able to move most of my stuff, but I am still incredibly disappointed in the entire experience. Three places, multiple phone calls, help from your corporate office, a good 30 minutes to rent the truck at the facility, a good 30 minutes to return the truck to the facility.......it really wasn't a stellar experience. I will say that the people at the facility I rented the truck from were extremely nice and helpful. Overall, however, it was a miserable experience and one I hope to never repeat again.

You could ensure that the drop off location you give is an active U-Haul facility. I was sent to a location that was not equipped to receive my rental. I was sent to another location a few miles away and they could not accept my return either. After several hours and miles I was finally sent to a location that accepted the truck.

My experience with the employees at this location was positive despite the odd scheduling and availability of the person who handles Uhaul services there. Checking in with my rental was prompt once I was able to ascertain that there was, in fact, someone in the (locked) office. Everything went smoothly and I left satisfied with the transaction that had occurred.

We had originally booked the truck for a location closer to our apartment, and only found out about this switch when a representative from the Pawcatuck location reached out to confirm. While we were disappointed that we'd need to travel 30 miles out of our way to pick up the truck, the rep did a nice job of accommodating us and crediting our miles accordingly.

Have someone available with the proper paperwork. I spent more than an hour on the phone trying to straighten out my drop off location because no one did any paper work or gave me my rental contract I feel this location was run poorly I sat on the size of the road on the phone for over an hour to do someone else's job

The location was convenient and right off the highway, the staff person was incredibly nice and helpful, the equipment was good but the office itself was dirty and the only customer chair was broken. I actually felt badly for the girl working there that she had to work in those conditions.

Staff didn't know computer system & I alamost wasn't able to gewt truck, I had to help in some case with the process. Finally they did get things done but what a hassle. Staff should be better trained.

It is a good drop off location but closes promptly at 5:00 pm. The office seemed shared and the guy that was there just said to park it outside the fence, lock it. and bring the key back to him. I was a bit un sure about leaving it outside the fence( fear of vandalism). it worked out OK.
