Henry DFirst pick up was changed didn’t get notification had to go 20 miles out of ower way to get it then was charged a overage for miles truck was dirty had not been weeped out then didn’t get it till 10 am instead of 9 because we had to find where we were getting it at was not familiar with the area and still haven’t gotten a receipt for the end of our charges so we’re not sure how much we paid you all the drop off place was nice that was the only good part of the whole Rental and no I wouldn’t use you all again and truck had to be back at 9instead of 10 and I didn’t feel it was our fault

William HRental was transferred to this location. Called twice to confirm, UHaul representative was never there to confirm. Received no paperwork when picking up truck. Received invoice after returning Truck and was charged with a service I did not select.
Steve EStay away from USA rental in Charlottesville , had a reservation booked since February. In may I get there and poof no rental and dealership was not very interested in solving the issue. In fact I would say stay away period. After about an hr I did finally get help but had to drive 30 miles out of my way to get it. Uhaul should have discounted my rental rate to make up for this mistake. The kicker out of this when not having a rental I was told it was graduation weekend you should have booked sooner. I thought that when I booked it 3 months prior and had a confirmation that was sufficient Not a hood way to run a business
Michael SIt was a gas station / convenience store and Tthe lady working that day was helpful. Parking for a 26ft truck was tight. The owner was very responsive when I called to inform him that I had returned my truck.

Danielle SI specifically decided to go with Uhaul over a moving company because there was supposed to be a guaranteed truck available at my desired location. I did NOT click a box stating I was aware the equipment may be unavailable. Again I chose it for that reason! Then 24 hours before pickup, my location changed to 40 minutes north of me and I had no way to get there. By the grace of god, there was a unicorn uber available and I had to spend an extra $45 to get to the new location.

William FWe tried to get the discount that was given us and they told us we had to wait until I delivered the truck. When I delivered the truck last night their was I never talked to a real person, we just texted back and forth. Not a good way to do business. I BELIEVE YOU OEW ME A 10% discount THAT I WAS SUPPOSE TO GET BUT NO ONE HONORED.
TERESALYNN Lthey were totally unprepared and had no idea why we were there. Vehicle was so dirty we had to wash it ourselves on the outside. The inside was muddy as well. I would request a full refund based on the truck and call centre issues

Susan NThe problem was not the location. The person at the location was very helpful and patient while dealing with U-Haul's TERRIBLE system. It took over an HOUR for me to check in, multiple phone calls to U-Haul's central line. Your central SYSTEM is terrible, not this location. I have never had such a terrible experience with a company of this size. The self check-in process did not work and was a nightmare, and it took multiple phone calls and multiple tries by the person at the location to be able to cancel the self check-in and set up an in-person rental. I will never use Uhaul again. Frankly I would like a refund. Uhaul cost me A LOT of time and stress. Absolutely terrible company. Fix your website.

curtis hReserved a truck and a dolly. Once I arrived to pick up the truck he informed me he didn’t have a dolly. The owner made no effort to assist in any way. I drove the truck to my moving location opened the back and it was filthy with an oily base covering the floor. I spent 30 minutes cleaning the truck prior to using it. Then I returned the truck and all the owner would do was say , “sorry it will not happen again”.

STEVENJAMES PThe truck worked well for my purposes but when I went to refuel the truck the gas gauge took a long time to respond and I overfilled it by more than a quarter tank. The gentleman at the dealer told me I cannot be reimbursed for that money, that's not a very good policy.

Douglas PI had made a reservation for 7/31/21 for a one-way 15ft truck to upstate NY. When I arrived at a different location in Charlottesville, VA we were told that my reservation didn't exist, and then that it did exist but a truck wasn't available. I had chosen to do mobile check-in and had paid for the truck in full. I was given the number to the trafficking center in Richmond and that was all. I was on hold with the trafficking center for 3 hours until my call was dropped. It was then 1 pm and I was supposed to meet movers in NY at 3 pm the next day. After we had called every Uhaul supplier we could find, we were FINALLY told that the Uhaul I had rented had been wrecked on its way back to the facility. I was finally refunded the $500 and told I could pick up a truck at 9am in Waynesboro on the 2nd, a day after I was supposed to be in NY. My parents chose to go pick up the Uhaul in Waynesboro for me. I again did a mobile check in to save some time and when they arrived there was no truck. They called around and eventually found one in Fishersville, VA. This whole experience has been absolutely INSANE that so many reservations can be made and paid for yet trucks are not available. And to be clear: I am not angry that there is a truck shortage, I am angry that I am able to reserve and pay for something that doesn't exist. This is not a reflection on any of the Uhaul employess that we spoke to but a reflection on the company itself. My parents had to take off extra time to help me move, we had to stay in a hotel room, and pay for extra gas from picking up the truck so far away. I have never had such a poor experience with a company and will never be using Uhaul again. I do expect someone from customer service to fianlly contact me regarding this experience has I have not been able to get through to anyone on the phone.
Gary SReally nice folks. Walked us (noob) through the process of turning the truck in. Very central location although Google Maps/Waze was confused whether this was a BP station or a Marathon. Must have been a BP at one point. Worth asking Google/Waze to correct.
John TSeems a bit pricey for a four hour van rental (>$100), but perhaps I'm just behind the times.
