No one was working at this location, even though we were there during their office hours, which became a problem when the UHAUL truck keys were missing from the lock box. There is also no UHAUL truck lot, simply a back alley that one truck is left. We talked to a customer service rep on the phone for over 20 minutes before they got a hold the area field manager who could come bring us keys (who was 45 minutes away). Don't expect anything to be quick or easy at this location. Give yourself time.STACEY F.

Upon arrival the employee was not there at the location of pick up had to call a random number in a very bad part of town. Employee didn't know how to hook up a trailer so I had to show him how, wile hooking up a trailer found a discharged 9mm round casings on the ground and human feces in the parking lot. When I made the reservation in coralville Iowa I was told that go to a U-Haul store,however after being transferred around to three different U-Haul places I was finally able to find the trailer I was supposed to pick up and never received a text message that my location has changed. Very poor customer experience definitely did not feel safe picking up that trailerCALEB B.

Guy was kinda helpful. Helped where he could but I wasn't informed on this refund deposit since I paid with cash. Pick up location said id receive the money when I dropped off the uhaul and the drop off location said they cant do anything and put in a request to mail me my deposit.... I'm very angryDarla M.

My reservation was picked up before the shop opened and was not prepared with the materials I requested and for which I paid. I had to make a separate trip to a different U-haul location to retrieve the additional items on my reservation. I wasted valuable time tracking down these pieces.Richard J.

I was there to return equipment and although they open at 9am no one never showed up for a half an hour. I call customer service 2x with no resolve. I ended up leaving the equipment inside the building.cassandra A.

Not sure how to improve the location. It's basically an alley in downtown St. Louis. Kinda scary. And the person that picked up their truck before us left the combination code on the lock-so the lock box was closed but unlocked.Jeffrey D.

First of all the guy was 15 minutes late for work, then when it was time for me to bring the truck back he was taking an hour lunch break because he was stuck in an elevator. Which was a bing inconvenience for us!Shanae T.

The truck wasn't clean when we picked it up and the attendant charged an additional $25 for pads that weren't folded on the truck when it was returned. I have NEVER paid for unfolded pads, the truck wasn't clean but, it ran for the one-round trip that was made to move my house from street to storage. It was an expensive move considering that there was barely mileage on the trip. I WON'T use this location again EVER and definitely won't recommend and will let others know to beware.Kimberly S.

The owner Beau was very pleasant to work with. I was about 20 min late getting the truck back and he was very gracious to not charge me extra. In my haste to return the truck, I forgot to bring back the furniture pads that I had rented. He told me not to worry about it and to bring them back when I could. (This was all on a Sunday by the way.) I totally appreciate the understanding and the fabulous customer service I received. I brought them back within a couple hours. When I arrived to pick up my rental the young man had rented a truck in my name to someone else. He never asked them for any information and even told me he didn't know who he had taken the cash from if it wasn't me! Bottom line I had to go on 12th Street where I didn't want to go and what was the scariest someone was driving around with my paper work, the truck was rented in my name because he failed to check their identity! 12th Street location identified the person who should have picked a truck their. I was totally inconvenienced and the young never apologized! Worst experience ever!Kimberly D.

Very bizarre location. Drove past many other locations that were far closer to than this downtown location. Not well marked. Company rep never looked to see that I had swept the cab and folded blankets. Never counted the blankets. Everything else about my uhaul experience was good except this check in location and experience.Thomas G.
I don't think I got the right size truck based on what I ordered. I was given keys to 1 of 3 trucks, only the one I was given was sandwiched in the middle of the other two and I had to do a 40 point back up into traffic to get out. Then, the seatbelt on the drivers seat was broken which meant the entire trip I had to listen to warnings going off beyond the fact I was driving illegally.Matt R.

I tried to return the uhaul in Granite City, IL and they said they didn't no how to return it so I had to drive all the way to St Louis MO to return. Everyone other uhaul place was closed by 3:00 PM.Terri M.
The owner of this establishment was 40 minutes late with opening the doors of the secured building he works in. Then he didn't even apologize for being late, upon walking up to the building where 5 customers were standing waiting for his arrival. When asked about his knowledge of the $50 credit guarantee that U-Haul has on its website, if the equipment isn't ready or available by the promised time of the reservation, he said he was unaware. I felt as if he was blowing off my concerns about having movers waiting for me and inconveniencing my day because he continued with the reservation report instead of addressing my concerns. I have always utilized U-Haul for my moving and storage needs and because of this situation, I am strongly considering going else where for those services in the future. I would strongly suggest reprimanding this authorized agent or relinquishing the contract with him. I was very disappointed with the service provided on July 30,2016. I expect my $50 credit as promised by the local scheduler within 7-10 business days.Ashlei H.

This location is great they are friendly and an amazing staff. Even in bad weather they go out and help you and make sure you are set for your move. This is the place to rent from in St. Louis. I highly recommend them.alex F.

Trailer was very clean and like new. WAVE personnel was great. Discovered (too late) that there was a dent and whole in roof of trailer; loaded trailer on 7/2 and drove north thru rain on 7/3--items inside got wet due to leak and one item (large framed poster) was ruined. We rented a truck and equipment to tow a vehicle. We were guaranteed help attaching the trailer hitch and getting the vehicle situated. There was one associate on site who had NO clue what to do. He was unable to assist. Trying to figure out how to safely secure the vehicle turned in to a two hour ordeal. Five minutes after leaving the lot, the truck dumped over half a tank of gas. We made it to another Uhaul location where we picked up a new truck. This turned in to almost a five hour process. I couldn't leave our tradeshow booth as I was waiting for the Uhaul to arrive so we could load it. I missed my flight and had to stay an extra night in St. Louis. It just was not this location it was other locations as well. My bill is overcharged and still remains over charge I got the run around. The truck was checked in on Sunday morning I was charged for that day, but my charge for environmental fee remained at 5.00 dollars for two days. The mileage was off by 1-3 miles. I talked to the location at Grand and St Louis Ave. the young lady I spook to was very helpful and understanding. I older man talk to me so bad I refused to rent a truck from him OMG never will I ever consider renting from him. I spoke to your branch on South tucker he was professional and very helpful. Out of 6 people I spoke too three were very professional.LORRETTA T.

This site did not give us the furniture pads I reserved. We had to go to several locations to find a site that had either furniture pads or a computer to look up what we had ordered. Cut into our move time and added time to our reserved movers.NOAH T.
