The address provided for the location is a barber shop. Called the phone number provided for the location and it went straight to voicemail. Call the U Haul customer service number and was on hold for 30 minutes. Extremely confusing process.Robin P.
The truck was extremely beat up. Didn't feel safe. The parking lot it was parked in had so many extremely deep pot holes that made maneuvering the truck difficult to avoid them. Also, the parking lot was very dark, felt unsafe dropping the truck off in the dark.Michelle T.

Although the 24/7 check-in was seamless and the process easily presented via the app, in hindsight, I feel it was a lot of extra work on my part. I would rate the experience higher if I had walked up to a counter and had paid U-haul personnel execute the pickup/return regimens, like a concierge in a hotel. I get the labor savings on your end and the added convenience for some customers who like playing with thier phones on issues like this, however I finished the day feeling like I paid for the rental but also had to work for that privledge, instead of just picking up and dropping off keys.Bill M.

I made the reservation through the 800 number. Thr girl was very helpful but ended up giving me wrong information. She told me the 10' trucks seat 3 people, which is false. She also put the reservation in my name even though I told her I was paying but wouldn't be picking the truck up. Thankfully, Luis straightened everything out for us. When we picked up the moving truck it would not start. Battery required jumping. We were told that there would be no other issues. My wife and I were moving out of our house, and had an entire truck filled with items before realizing that the truck would not start again. It needed a new battery. When my wife called the location from which we rented she received a text that said nothing other than "At lunch". Horrible service. The only bright spot was the third party company that came out to do the battery change. I will never rent from U-Haul again after this experience.ANGELA G.

The worst experience ever. My reservation was changed twice and the third time the new location was an hour away from Chicago. I was told about the new location to pick up 4 hours before my move out time from my apartment. It took me 2 hours (back and forth) to get the truck and start loading. The truck was disgusting. There was food on the floor, dog/cat hair all over, some oil/grease spill next to the driver seat. The steering wheel was all sticky and there was a rotten food smell( or some kind of weird smell). It took me 15 -20 mins just to clean the inside of the truck. I had to disinfect it as I was not sure if it's Covidd clean or not. When I mentioned to Luis who I spoke over the phone on how dirty the truck was, he said " if you don't want it, just leave the truck and go somewhere else". Driving the truck was even worse as the side mirrors were constantly shaking and it was hard to see back.Jonathan J.

The equipment and the UHaul contact-less check in/check-out was great. The location was just OK. It was well-lit and felt safe because it was high-visibility, but that parking lot and whole area is not well kept and frankly getting to be kind of an eye-sore.David B.
The location address is a barber shop. Since there was no one around to help, I drove around a huge parking lot at the corner of north ave and route 83 where I saw a few uhaul trucks. The app wasn't clear on how to get the key so I had to chat with a rep who had to verify my application and then send me a pic of a truck with a key box on it which I had to assume was near me. I found the box and spent 10 minutes in the rain trying to figure out the unruly lock that was securing the box holding the key. Then all the picture taking and uploading to the site to verify all the info made this seem like an extremely impersonal experience. This process was very unorganized and frustrating.Lee F.

The instructions to drop off the keys were very unclear. The instructions stated to drop the keys in the box located outside the facility while there was no facility, just a lot of cars. After searching, I finally found the box on the side of one of the trucks. I would recommend making the instructions more clear. Further, the instructions were unclear on where to leave the truck. The gps took me to a large lot and if there wasn't another truck present, I wouldn't have known where to leave it.Aliuddin A.

The mobile process lacks integrity. I received truck with 7/8 th tank and has to return full. Drove only 45 miles and had to put in over $15 in gas. Also I was charged for 88 miles. I drove 42. Essentially I paid double to use your service. I may not use u-haul again and I will only use a shop with an attendant. Very unfortunate. Good news I got what I needed to do done. Bad news I paid $70 more than I should have. Please use this feedback to get better.Michael N.

I didn't like the fact that I was initially scheduled to pick up the trailer in a location close to where I wanted to then was switched to a different location the day before and then again switched to the final location for pick up and asked to do it a day earlier.Stephen S.
This pickup location was fine but I am still annoyed that no one told me my original reservation was cancelled and the only reason I found out was because I had to call to see if I could move my pickup time back. Had I not called I would have never known and wasted even MORE time than I already did. The side mirror was broken, but I'm sure that's not your fault. Please tell the people who design your mobile-friendly website to change the instructions for returning the van: the directions said to put the keys in a drop box, but there is none. I should have been told to instead put the keys back in the lockbox inside the van. No biggie, but may as well. Also, the lock on the key box was VERY difficult to manage. My fingers are still sore from opening and closing it.susan R.

First off, Wandas Rental Too does not exist. The actual address is a barber shop in a mostly deserted strip mall. You'll see Uhaul trucks parked in a lot behind the mall, but there is no office or storefront whatsoever. Went through the drop-off steps via the app, and was finally prompted to put the keys in the drop-box. Spent the next 30 minutes driving around the parking lot and mall trying to find the dropbox. Had a Uhaul rep on the phone as well, and they were unaware of the current status of Wandas and could not assist in finding the box. Finally, by pure accident, we found the dropbox attached to the side of one of the rental trucks. Why Uhaul or Wandas does not provide direction as to the location of the lockbox is a mystery. Would have saved us a lot of time and energy at the end of a very long day. I will do everything I can to never use Uhaul again. Enterprise Truck Rental is the way to go!Lorne F.
A different business is located at the address listed. There is no U-Haul office. Must use mobile app to pick-up truck, which would be fine, but the trucks are located some distance from the address and it took some time driving around to find them. Then the key was not in the lockbox, so it was over an hour before we finally had the truck.GARY M.

The address for the drop-off location is wrong, and I'm not the first customer who's notified U-Haul of this. Read the comments on-line and there are numerous complaints. It took me half an hour of waiting on hold and investigating the area to finally figure out the correct location. Also, the U-Haul app couldn't find my location even though my phone location is on. Really bad experience, but I'm sure U-Haul will do nothing to fix it.Paul H.

I was super confused I was going to a location with no one attending the location. It should have been more CLEAR this is how I was renting. Had no problem doing that but was not prepared which led to a frustrating experience!!!!thomas M.
Make it clear that the location doesn't actually have a building that it is a parking lot. Let people know that while the smartphone check in is nice that they should allow 15-30 minutes for check-in. It took me 30 minutes to complete my check-in because even though I had my location services on it kept telling me I wasn't at the location and so I had to call in and have them walk me through check-in on the phone. I was on a time limit to pick up my items and this delayed me substantially.Rhiannon B.
Picking up truck was a nightmare, on line system would not recognize our location. Lewis at Wanda's helped us over the phone to get our truck. He is the only reason we would ever consider renting from U-Haul again. We tried twice to make local reservations and after we received confirmation emails we received new emails saying our reservations have changed and the truck would now be available for pickup at locations nowhere near our home. Called customer service several times and received very little assistance. Called Wanda's and Lewis assisted over the phone to make a local reservations. There is no physical address - so the address that comes up with the Reservation - Wandas Rentals - takes you to the back of a shopping centre. The actual vehicles are just sitting in a section of a large parking lot about 200 yards away. Also - there were no directions on how to get access to my vehicle other than log into the uhaul.com website. The website was no help. I actually had to call the 800 number and a local number to finally speak to someone about accessing / getting the keys for the truck. This process took about 25-30 minutes to complete. Also - once I brought the truck back - I had to do all the work during the return process. I had to answer about 10-12 questions and take multiple pictures proving that the truck was returned. This took another 15 minutes. Uhaul / Local location needs to give MUCH BETTER DIRECTIONS / INFORMATION to their customers. I dont think I will use this locations - and may look elsewhere when I need to rent again. Uhaul is putting all the check in and check out work on the customer - but I didnt notice any savings for doing all the work.Eric K.

I placed an order over the phone 2 weeks in advance for a single way trip from downers grove to Chicago in a 16' truck with a $25 off student discount. The woman on the phone booked me a round trip 10' at full price. I talked to the regional manager Kevin to get this straightened out and he confirmed that it was a one way vehicle. Still didn't receive student discount. I accepted the 10'. Spoke with Luis the day of pickup and he sent me four drop off locations in Chicago. Upon dropping off I was being charged $40 for not dropping off at the location I picked it up. Extremely frustrating. I was overcharged that what I agreed to on the order and despite talking to multiple people the order was never correct from start to finish. I would not recommend.SHIVANI R.

I waited half and hour with customer service, until my wife found the location from someone's previous rating. This was a waste of time, and I drove around trying to find this place.Sava M.
