The old lady who checked me in lacks customer service skills. She is very rude! Very argumentative! When I walked in I was on the phone and I told her I couldn't hang up because it's an important call. But I also told her I was on hold and if she wanted to talk she could to give her some options. So she said let's proceed with getting the rental. So I did! She asked for a picture of my license so I put the phone on speak and proceeded to take a picture with my phone and to send it over. Well the lady on the phone came back on the phone and I said to the her on the phone “hold on, I will be right with you. Well your representative said “I DON'T WANT TO HERE THAT ON THE PHONE!” So I explained to her again that why I told you I was on the phone in the mean time my license and everything she needed was alrighty in her computer. Instead of her saying thank you, she proceeded to argue about it. I explained to her in the beginning what was going on and she didn't have a problem with it. She need to make up her mind! Either it okay to be on the phone or not! When I returned, there was her and another lady who returned the van. The other lady was awesome! Very polite and nice! She should be the first line of contact for your company!

Returned Auto Transport 15 minutes after rental and still got charged. Area manager said that I'd get a refund but I still have not. The 26 ft Uhaul was in bad need of a wheel alignment and was constantly bouncing and vibrating. A 1/3 of my items were damaged in transit!!! I will NEVER rent from Uhaul again!

My only complaint is that the trailer i rented was very heavy and did not have a trailer jack on the tongue to assist with hooking and unhooking. I had to lift the tongue off the ground to attach to trailer hitch And, had there not been another customer in the lot to assist, I would not have been able to manage hooking and unhooking the trailer from my vehicle. Thankfully, I did not need to unhook it while it was loaded, I would have been unable to physically lift it off of the trailer hitch even with assistance while loaded.

The truck was absolutely infused with the smell of Cigarettes- (AND I USED to Smoke) - even the air-conditioning could not be used because the air filter was soo smelly. SOO bad in fact that we had to stop along the way. . .just to get fresh air. Every knob was dirty and sticky, there was dried spilt coffee all over the dashboard and it was simply unbearable for a 10 hour drive. . . Horrible Experience. .

No one wearing masks! Took forty minutes to get equipment even though I checked in online and paid in advance, no other customers waiting. They claimed the computers were slow. No one on site to help with hookup of the trailer. Basically, this entire experience was a joke.

Cleanliness: The inside of the cab had debris from shoes and some papers. There was a sign left on the floor in the bed of the truck that we did not notice until we ripped a piece of furniture when it snagged on it. Customer Service: Extremely slow and unhelpful. Tone of voice and attitude as if I was an imposition.

Make your online check in better and easier to use

The wheel well on the driver side was broken and flapped into my car a couple times. The safety chains to secure the car were broken so I couldn't secure my car to the trailer other than with ratchet straps. And the driver side ratchet handle was broken and was hard to use. Overall not well maintained

I was asked if i had a man to help me hook up the 6x12 cargo trailer i rented because he said he would not be able to help me. I am a 5' 2" female and brought my friend who is also a small female. I understand getting older and having health issues but you should not be renting equipment or have help at your facility. We were able to hook it up which is very heavy to lift. At that point he said since we were able to connect it I could rent it.

Check in was a pain using the check in process via the website. The cellular connection was extremely slow and had a hard time uploading a picture of my driver's license. I had to leave and drive around to find a strong signal. Also, I feel like I uploaded my drivers license two times prior to check in. Really??? This is not an easy process via a phone while standing in a parking lot. So, I give you a “F” for failure for the check in process. It took 40 minutes from start to finish.

It was expensive. To pay the mileage and fill the gas up was too much. To pick up a mattress, take it home, which was 16 miles was $11 for mileage and $6 for gas. That's $17 on top of renting it, getting the insurance. It cost me $50 to do that. For $10 more I could have paid for Big Lots to deliver without me doing all that work. The $19.99 on the street de of the van makes it sound like you can do this for $20, but it's really like $50. Wish there was a cheaper option for using a van for 2 hours.

Time he closed was listed but I arrived and he had left EARLY! I had one of the WORSE UHaul experiences EVER.... pick up delayed and I had limited service to do the phone drop off. I couldn't ask for help because the drop off location was closed!

Due to UHAUL's computer system not functioning correctly again and would not let me upload my drivers license and I was there for over a 45 mins. trying to check out and had to help the lady dispatch me out since I was a former UHAUL dealer myself. I would recommend more training for this dealer from there AFM when they have problems like this happening .

We have rented from our local U-Haul multiple times with no problems. We love our local company. This was our first time having to return one after hours. In this particular instance, in all of the fine print we were provided and there was nothing that explained how to return it online and although we returned the truck approximately 8 hours early (we rented for 24hrs) our return time was after hours. We tried to log onto their site while in their parking lot and with no success headed home to try on a computer. No success there either. The problem is that you are allowed to rent on line without setting up an account but then you can't return the truck without that account that wasn't required. And most importantly, they don't tell you you cannot leave their parking lot before this return process is complete because it requires you to take pictures and only accepts pictures taken from their parking lot. Maybe that should be somewhere in the preprinted paperwork provided so that we don't spend 30 minutes in their parking lot trying to figure it out and another hour at home on line before calling the home office only to find out now we are going to be charged a small charge because we did //not log on from their parking lot. When we called in to try to return it over the phone, the representative was extremely nice and apologetic for the inconvenience. She said she would let the owners know our experience and what happened and it would be up to them whether they would not charge the extra small fee. She also said she would pass on information to the appropriate personnel that they should include that in the paperwork so that others would not be caught in the same position. Overall the truck was in great condition. It appeared to have been cleaned well. We will continue to use their service. :)

The drop off procedure for returning after hours was a huge hassle. I had trouble linking the location on my phone, and taking all of the required pictures was a hassle at night in the dark.

The people are older with limited computer knowledge. Every time I go there it takes forever for them to take care of me, 45 minutes last visit and I had paid and checked in online. No one is there to help if you need assistance putting trailer on the hitch, 6x12 is very heavy alone!!

Staff didn't want to assist anyone. She had everyone register online. I did and reserved it for 20 plus hours. Staff put it to return next day at 10am. When I didn't get it until 2:30pm. So it charged me an extra day so I used it since I was already charged for it. I am a teacher on a budget and this cut into my food budget.

The representative on the inside was very unfriendly. She did not seem to want our business. It appeared as if she was being bothered by helping us. Also, she licked her fingers to handle our contract. This is not safe, especially during this time of coronavirus.

My u haul experience was okay. The truck worked well and made my move an easy task. However, I reported the truck was dirty in the cab and smelled like smoke. While I was driving I discovered that there were cigarette butts in the ashtray. I see that I was charged a cleaning fee. I hope that is not because I reported the truck as not clean for the next customer at check in.

The mobile check-in process was a disaster. I returned after hours and the link wouldn't work on my phone. I called customer service twice (the system hung up on me the first time and I had to wait nearly 10 minutes to talk to someone the second time) to let them know I was having trouble and the agent was very short with me, telling me that I would likely be charged a $20 fee because I did not check in remotely. This was infuriating after I had stood in the parking lot of the return location for over 45 minutes trying to make the link work from my phone. The location, equipment, and location staff were excellent. I was very put out by the rude tone and lack of empathy or consideration from the customer service agent. He did nothing to help at all and only pissed me off. For this reason, while I will recommend this location to others because the location staff were great, I will use another company next time who can provide better customer service in the event that anything unusual occurs.

The equipment was clean and very useful. However, the receptionist at this location was very rude. The dolly I rented was not in the truck when I went to pick it up, so we waiting until the office was open to inquire. She blamed us for reserving late (2 days ahead) and said we should've went to another location.
