Easy access, nice to have pick- up and drop- off coincide with store hours. We had a hassle free experience.

I think the transmission was messed up in this Uhaul. It didnt drive well at all. I told the lady about it when i returned it.

There was a shortage of trucks in Roanoke, VA and we had to travel to Bedford, VA to pick one up... about a 30 minute drive. Other than that, great truck and personnel.

Gas was not accurately recorded. Was at half tank not 9/16 tank. I have a picture to prove it. The representative did not go out to the truck nor show me what they had recorded for the gas. I requested a moving dolly on my online order 4 days prior to pickup and did not receive a dolly. No actual Uhaul location for 20+ miles so we had to lift and move everything. Needless to say my back is wrecked. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE! I’ve used Uhaul for lots of moves and this was by far my worst experience.

To whom it may concern, This was a horrible experience. We were told at the time of placing the reserve order for rental truck (24 foot ) to be at Vista Foods in Bedford VA at 7:00 AM on July 20, 2019. We arrived at 7:00 AM, the employee to service us did not arrive until almost 9:00 AM. and the truck we had reserved was not available, so we ended up with a much smaller 15 foot truck! The employee said she would give a discount due to their error. NO DISCOUNT WAS GIVEN. When the truck was returned the same day she said she was too busy to give a receipt and would email it to us. This is not an acceptable business practice. People should be able to see how much they are getting charged and if discounts are being given, so you can have a dispute at that time. We hired movers by the hour to move us and had to pay them while we stood there waiting on your employees to arrive to work and process the smaller truck. Not only that, but we had to make several additional trips to load and unload due to the smaller truck which made the move hours longer as well (in 98-100 degree full on sun weather) . The original plan was to move as early as possible in the morning to avoid the afternoon heat. Due to UHAL'S errors we had to spend $300 additional, again due to UHAL's errors. I am asking that the entire fee for this rental truck to be refunded and for you to pay for my overage expenses of $300.00

Uhaul overall has become a disorganized mess with long wait times and very difficult to help to customer service. This location is not properly managed. Not even open normal hours for return, and then over charged becaise they do not even pay attention to their own or even track properly.

It took an hour and 45 minutes to check out a trailer and then when I tried to call your customer care department I wasted on 25 minutes on hold and still didn't get through to anybody U-Haul sucks and I will never rent from your company again I hate U-Haul and I will tell everybody I know that U-Haul sucks there is nothing worse in your company and I hope you go out of business and go broke

The location did not have the dolly and packing blankets that I requested. I don't know why I was told to pick-up the truck at a location without the equipment I had ordered. Very poor planning by U0-Haul. This severely limited my ability to load, protect, and unload my furniture.

Truck worked fine but the cab and interior windows needed a good cleaning. Requested blankets when the reservation was made. None were provided. No notice that none were available until the morning the truck was picked up. Can’t protect furniture during a move with out blankets!

I made reservation on June 3rd 2019 for pickup in Lexington VAn on June 14, 2019. U-hall informed me on June 13 late afternoon that there is no truck available in Lexington. Why they did not inform me earlier? Then your representative put me on hold for 40 min and then dropped the line. After calling back I was told that I have to go to Bedford VA 30.5 miles away(that was a lie actual distance was 42.5 miles) to pickup the truck. When I got there they told me the truck is damaged and they did not know if I can have it. Checking the damage (front left side bumper, wright side mirror bent, dents and scratches on the wright side of the truck) it was relatively minor so I got the truck.. The only problem was the wright mirror which could not be adjusted so I saw nothing in it. I will never rent a truck from U-Hall after this experience. The personnel on the phone(reservation) were totally useless. People in Bedford and Hyattsville were excellent . I e-mailed you 5 pictures of the damage to the address provided but it was rejected. You relay have a very poor reservation system and contacts.

The drop-off location was a grocery store, and a clerk or manager had to leave the check-out line to help me. It took a while for them to figure out how to check me out.

When Uhaul processes a rental "reservation" and accepts payment for the reservation, the trailer should be available at the identified pick-up location. Or there should be some form of compensation or rental refund that reflects the additional cost, time, and inconvenience to the customer having to travel nearly 20 miles one way to a different Uhaul location. As a customer, I spent an extended amount of time trying to resolve this issue through Uhaul Customer Service and the Regional Scheduling Office. I was given multiple different numbers to call and was told I would be contacted...The move was completed, rental returned, and still no contact from any Uhaul representative. Both pickup and drop off locations were changed from the original reservation.

No one answered my numerous phone calls as the establishment was closed. I had to wait for over 2 hours because the 2nd location couldn’t figure out how to return the initial truck, forcing me to take multiple trips with a 10 ft truck, which was not what I reserved. No one from u haul has returned my calls and I’m beyond furious that I’m paying for the entire bill when I should have only paid a 1/4th of what I was charged. I’ll be disputing my changes with the credit card company

Avoid making changes to planned itineraries less than 24hrs prior to customer pickup. I was contacted the day prior to planned pick-up and informed of a change to the pick-up location due to lack of vehicle at the original pick-up spot. When I showed up the next day at the new pick-up spot (Bedford, VA) I was told that the pick-up spot had been changed again that same morning. I was told someone tried to contact me, however my phone records indicated no calls/voice-messages from Uhaul. I did receive an email delivered the day of planned pick-up at 8:44am (2 hrs and 46 minutes prior to my planned pick-up of 11:30am)! The new pick-up spot was approx. 50 miles away and inconvenient to moving plans planned that day. Fortunately a call to Uhaul customer service resolved the issue when they noticed the Bedford, VA location had another usable vehicle available (evidently the vehicle I had been scheduled to pick-up needed maintenance, yet no one at the Bedford location recommended the reservation be adjusted so that I could take the other truck on their property). Not sure why it worked out that way, but pleased I eventually got a truck in Bedford, VA. Not pleased that the mix-up cost me almost an hour of valuable day-light and moving convenience.
