My experience was horrible! I made a reservation to pick up a 20' truck in Niles, MI to do a one way trip to Kokomo, IN. When I checked my email for the reservation, it was completely wrong! I called to get it straightened out and was told there were no 20' trucks available and they would call me to reserve one close to Niles. I got a call back to pick a truck up in Dowagiac, MI. When I arrived, there were NO trucks at all and the place was absolutely disgusting! I then had to travel to Decature, MI where I FINALLY got a truck. I will not use UHaul again and will not recommend UHaul to anyone ever!

The fuel level was 1/4 tank when I picked up the vehicle. I had to leave it with 1/2 a tank... Also, when I went to pick up the truck, the lady at the counter said it was in the computer that I was bringing it back and almost didn't allow me to take it. When I returned, entered the mileage, it tried to charge me for over 300 miles! I only drove it 32. Whoever had the truck before me didn't get the return completed properly and it cost me over an hour between the pick up and return to get it squared away. Other than that, I really like using UHAUL.

I rented online for a location much closer to me but minutes before going there I was contacted and told they didn't have the equipment and I would need to go somewhere else. Since I was stranded this was a big issue for me and the person on the phone didn't really care nor provide any assistance other than to say "it's not our policy". If there would have been another option with a different company I would not have done business with UHaul.

The person who helped check me out the first time was extremely rude and impatient. He didn't help us hook up the trailer or make sure that it was done properly. The women who helped me when I returned it tried to charge me again. She never went out and checked the trailer either.

No one knows what's going on. Was there for about an hour. Every location seemed chaotic that I dealt with. Didn't enjoy rental experience at all. Equipment was excellent. Rental was an nitemare.

Problem with signal and brake electrical hookup. They were very responsive and it is being attended to this week.

We rented a transport trailer in Michigan which ended up being too short to use. We took it back and was supposed to be refunded our money to be used towards a car rental to get back to Michigan. It was still not taken care of at the time of our drop-off and we have still not been notified if this matter has been straightened out. Not very pleased with the overall experience. But the truck was great and the people we dealt with directly were cooperative.
