I dont recall it being a computer repair place. It was some place called "Broadway Records". The place was disgusting and filthy. The guy didnt want to talk to me because I wasn't wearing a mask, even though I had a face covering. It came off as pretty racist because people who looked like him were inside with no face masks and I didnt look like him, so apparently I had a different set of rules to abide by. I had to get on the phone and took an additional hour out of my day to get the car dolly. The previous place where I had gotten the truck from before I arrived at the disgusting place I had to get the car dolly from was wonderful.Cody C.

Trailer dropped off on Saturday the 25th at 3pm. Communicated with guy sitting at desk, he waited two days to check in resulting in late charges. Scam!!! Avoid this location.Herman L.

The experience I had was one of the worse. The truck I ordered over two weeks ago wasnt available to me close me to get a smaller truck making numerous trips causing me to pay for extra miles if I had the truck that I ordered none of that would have happened also the truck that I was giving window wipers didn't work in a rainstorm and the hatch did not go all the way in can pop it at any given time but I was still charged full priceAnthony W.

It took me visiting 3 location to get the equipment even though i had a confirmed pickup at the 2855 Airline Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701 The location i rented from 3018 Victory Blvd unit c, Portsmouth, VA 23702 was great, A1 the best service. The employee was very eager to help me and be sure i was satisfied. This location 3711 B, Victory Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701, service was very bad, employee had a very negative attitude in front of other customers. One even walked out shaking his head. this location 2855 Airline Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701, also very very very bad service and attitude, even though i have a confirmed pickup at this location. It appeared the "manager" was doing the talking. The other employee just sat there but appeared to want to help me but was afraid of the "manager". They did nothing to help me and they did not have any other customers. the worst service ever.Peter T.

The owner was a great guy...very customer service oriented. The "yard" where the trailers and trucks are locatedis dirt...there were a couple mud puddles and such. In. a perfect world it would have been a hard surface. The building is old and dilapidated, but I get it. Because of the great customer service (knowledgable, very helpful, caring), I'd go back again in a heartbeat. The trailer was in great shape.Gregory S.

You made this move a nightmare I reserved and truck and it wasnt there they no longer did truck rentals then sent me to another location and it was even worse I saw the employee pull off even though he seen us pull back up and sat in the back parking for over twenty minutes and I had to wait until he was ready to deal with me I didn't get a truck until after 11am then I had to pay 70 dollars out of pocket to the storage unit because I wasn't done by 2 so like I said this was a nightmareTERESA L.

NO GAS IN TANK. TRUCK UNAVAILABLE AT RESERVED LOCATION. I had a reservation for Newport News, VA and was told less than 24 hours prior to pick-up that the location had changed to Portsmouth, VA; 36 miles and a bridge-tunnel away. This added two additional hours to my packing day causing me to be late to my loading site where I had scheduled packers to meet me at 9 am. I was arriving from DC. When I asked the UHaul person that contacted me why I wasn't informed sooner, she said they only check the day before if a truck is available. This is unsatisfactory. I will NEVER use UHaul again, nor will any of my friends or family. Had I had time to make other arrangements, I would have changed to a Williamsburg pick-up or hired a different company. As it was, I had to drive through a bridge-tunnel 36 miles in the opposite direction! When I picked up the truck, the gas tank was at 1/4 of a tank. I put $100 of gas in to make sure I would get back to Newport News and eventually to DC. When I turned in the truck, I had over a 1/2 tank. This is such a SHADY business practice. I know the person that didn't refill the tank was overcharged for gas, then I get it and have to add gas IMMEDIATELY just to get to my destination. Just on my end, UHaul made a $40 profit as I only used a little more than half of the gas I added. BAD BUSINESS. And you will NEVER have my business again.Pamela M.

They have the trailers parked in a gravel lot. it wasn't a big issue but there was a little bit of mud in the center.not a big issue, but it dips down into it then when I was pulling out I noticed it took second for my tires to get traction because of it.Joshua H.
We had tire blow off the rim and it delayed our drive by 2 hours. They did come and replace at no charge to me but I would recommend keeping tires better maintained.Robert J.

The trailer was parked in a field, BEHIND A RUN DOWN SHACK, in knee deep grass, FULL OF MOSQUITOS!! Me and my husband had mosquito bites all over us in a matter of minutes, the time it took to hookup the trailer. Next, my pickup time was 10 a.m. but the person manning the office wasn't coming in until 2 p.m.! Luckily, there was another guy there but he was only there to meet someone to repair the computer. He was very helpful and got us taken care of so we didn't have to come back later. Overall, the place creeped me out!!Sharon K.

Our truck had a big crack in the windshield. Truck had writing all over it. I felt that the owner of this location just dont care. I made reservations but when we went to get the truck the personnever emerged the reservation in thecomputer so we we're lucky they still had a truck. Not happy at alldavid K.

checking back in was over the phone because the guy had left the location far before closing time. just want to make sure this is documented incase something comes up later charging me for something i didnt do. also i had made a reservation for the greenbrier location however 30 minutes before pick up time uhaul called me stating this location no longer can fill your request and then moved me to this much farther location which added onto my mileage AND stress since it was 30 minutes before pick up time and the uhaul location was in portsmouth right at peak traffic time. overall horrible horrible experience. not sure if i will be using uhaul again since this is my THIRD bad experience in a row. one after another bad experiences. and no one at the locations seems to care what so ever. I doubt anything will even happen with this review seeing as i have left these before and not gotten any response.Stephen M.

Melvin was awesome to work with. However, the building was in poor condition. 26â€ truck was delivered to me with a hole in wiper fluid reservoir so big it drained within seconds of filling it. No wiper fluid from va to nv. Trailer for towing car we received at same location was unsafe. During trip right side ramp came unlocked and dragged on highway until we could restore it. Additionally the right side tire net came loose as well during this same period. Melvin showed us how to operate both and I personally locked both so I know it was mechanical failure. Finally Melvin obtained a 15â€ truck at last minute because we had to much stuff for the first truck to carry.Kevin S.
Vehicle gas indicator was brought to the attention of the clerk at rental. He advised that's the way the equipment was brought back and that at the end of my rental put the exact same amount of gas in the vehicle... it was slightly under 1/4 full and he would email me the original contract.... After visiting three locations for a car dolly for a one way move, it was an inconvenience for my family and myself and nothing can give me those five hours back with my family before deployment out of the country. I hope in the future I can make arrangements with another company. The gentleman at the last place was kind and understanding and very helpful. If he owned his own moving company I would choose him over uhaul.Laura U.

Although the office is very small, the representative who was there during the day of my pick up has a large personality that will brighten anyone's day ??. My son and I were broke down tired from moving, but after our visit with him we were able to muster up enough strength to chuckle at his bright sense of humor. I had to go 20 miles to pick up truck when the requested dealer location was denied. That dealer location was 2 miles away. So, instead of a Uber ride to the dealer 2 miles away I had to pay $25 for an Uber ride to the dealer 20 miles away. Thanks U-Haul!Robert B.

I'm very dissatisfied because I had to pick up my U-Haul in another city 20 miles away when I specifically reserved the truck in the city in which I live where are there are five U-Haul locations. While I was traveling with this truck both wiper blades came off in a downpour and I have to put new ones on at Walmart I just think when they customer reserve the truck it should be available in the city in which they live especially when there are several locations in that City this was a less-than-desirable experience and to be honest I probably won't uhaul againWilliam G.
I reserved a truck for Friday at 5pm to Saturday at 5 pm. When I arrived I was informed that my reservation had been modified and I had to have it back by 11am on Saturday or would face stiff penalties. I ended up having to rent a trailer. VERY unsatisfied customer.shelton S.
Make sure the operator is professional and not a Liar or more worried about getting drunk then assisting customers with the equipment. Me being a first time customer renting a auto transport with no experience, felt no empathy from this guy! I was told to call back when contacting the location because he was helping a customer. In the same call, he informed me that he did have a 10 inch truck. I called back 5 minutes later, and he told me to call back at 8:30. He informed me he would have a truck. I called him back at 8:30, he said it would be the morning. Satirday Morning comes, he rented the truck. All he has is a bigger truck. He informs me that he would try to discount the price. He didn't. I drive the truck off of the lot to pack up, it has a lock on it. I called him, he wants me to drive to another location to get lock taken off. I went, it was taken off. Worst experience ever and he didnt work out a discount like he saidDe'Andre B.
There was a lock on the trailer and thus site didn't have the key to unlock it. I had to drive the Uhual to another site to have unlocked. It wasted my time and mileage. I was promised the mileage back on my account but never received a credit. Don't deal with off-site locations.nichole W.
