Code provided for lockbox did not work was not even able to use uhual! Waste of my time!!
Brittany HI’m not sure if I am to blame the location or Uhaul itself for my experience on today. To improve services you all can do frequent inspections on the trucks before renting them out. A customer shouldn’t have to experience what I experience on today.

Morgan AI called UHaul on the morning of Saturday, June 25, 2023 at 10:30 am for a 10’ Truck Rental. They provided me with reservation number #92962828 at Rent Wise on 6110 Beach Blvd Jacksonville, FL. When I went to Rent Wise to pick up the truck, I was told they didn’t have the truck and that I had to wait for the truck to be returned. An Area Manager at that location called around and located a truck at another location, approximately one mile from Rent Wise. Because of the wait and different location, the Area Manager(Who was very nice) offered me a 15’ truck for the same price, he cleaned the truck showed me the gas gauge measure(1/2 tank) and mileage on the truck. We signed the contract on an IPAD on the street/truck because the office I guess was closed. He showed an orange box on a pole on Lammee Street where the truck was parked and I was to drop off the keys when done. I returned the truck approximately 5:30 pm. I just received the transaction bill and it shows a $20.00 “after hours” fee and an additional $15.00 “safe move” fee. I did as I was instructed, I was not mentioned these fees when picking up the truck. This is definitely “Bait and Switch” and leaving a very sour taste in my mouth.

Jeremiah BWe could have dropped off truck wuthin 5 miles in 2 different locations and in a safe environment. This location was 25 miles and 40 minutes out of the way and NOT SAFE at all. I understand you need truck in a certain location....but this one took the cake. We had to make sure we checked in!
NORMA RUpon pickup, check engine light was on, front right tire pressure was low, gas was below 1/4 tank, the dolly I PAID FOR was not included, there was no office or anyone to talk to, the cab and container were dirty, and I will not be renting from uhaul again because of how poor this experience was.

Todd CThe rental vehicle was not maintained properly. I did not use the rental after viewing warning signs in vehicle dashboard. Signs indicating, 3 tires were low and needed air and secondary signs indicated engine issues, which made the vehicle not go above 35 miles per hour. This rental was not safe for me to utilize.

scott kThe location and pick up was fine. Unfortunately, upon arriving at my home and having already packed up several items into the truck, the battery was dead. Nothing was happening. I happened to have a friend that knows about cars look at the battery and he was able to tighten one of the charging bits to the battery. That was all it took - but I was very frustrated thinking about having to unpack the truck and swap it out with another one. Not to mention the loss of time in getting all of that coordinated. In the end, I was able to resolve the issue on my own - but by a miracle. The vehicles need more maintenance.
Megan KNot sure why the u haul system made me return the truck over 20 miles from the pick up location. I paid to re-locate your truck. Taht cost me time and mileage and gas.

I arrived and was asked to wait when the owner left to get his food order corrected.(15 minutes) He wasn't prepared to put on the transporter and then had me drive my car on to the transporter. Talk about a safety and liability issue. Then he charged me $30 for connecting everything. The gentleman moved so slow that it took 45 minutes to the transporter attached and my car secured. Them during my ride, one of my tire harnesses came off. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. I also, as a business person, thinks this location sheds a poor light on UHaul.
Janet PI feel this place does not represent U-Haul in the best way possible. The truck was dirty. the check engine light was on. the engine ran rough, and I did not receive the equipment I had reserved that being boxes and a dolly. I will not be renting a U-Haul from this location again

DENISE HI had to put the trailer outside the fence as their gate was locked. I felt really not comfortable with this. They shouldnt do after hours if you cannot secure things like trailers. No one answered the phone
michiel sClerk just took the key without checking the truck or giving me a receipt to make me feel comfortable that the vehicle has been recirded as turned in. The clerk said they would email a receipt later, but I would have felt more comfortable getting something right there as evidence that I turned in the truck.

Douglas BPlease note - I did not return the truck to Victoria Motors. This is an incorrect address. I returned it to Ron's Food Mart on Spring Park Rd. in Jacksonville. While the person who checked in the truck was just fine, the location was a little sketchy. The only indication that it was a UHaul drop off location was a small, crooked sign at the curb.
Marcia LWhen I scheduled the pick-up of this truck online, I scheduled the pick-up for 4:30pm, which was the time that I showed up to pick it up. The attendant at the pick-up location said he was wondering if I was going to show up, and said he was about to rent the truck to someone else??? Also, I wanted the insurance removed, as I did not intend to add the insurance when I scheduled it on line (was told by someone in U-Haul customer service that the online forms default to adding it, and you have to uncheck the box, which I didn't do. Anyway, he said he couldn't remove it, and so I was saddled with that charge for no reason.

NOEL GI dropped the vehicle off one day early and wish I was told that there would be a $20 fee for dropping the vehicle off! I could have waited until the next day and save myself a drop-off fee. The person I spoke to on the phone didn’t mention there would be a drop off fee.

He also charged me a cleaning fee when the trailer was absolutely spotless upon return. The only thing left in the trailer was the 6 rented moving pads.

alvaro hThis location has very limited hours and looks like a junkyard. Received a surprise cleaning charge after we left even though the truck was clean when we returned it and have a video to prove it.
CHASE ACompleting an inspection prior to renting out the vehicle. Because I did not know the condition of the brakes prior to renting it, I was afraid the air would go out of the tires because of the TPMS light that stayed lit the entire time driving the vehicle, even after I put air in the tires.

DANIEL MMy first truck option had the windshield gasket hanging off the truck. This should have been noticed before assigning it to me. I was transferred to another vehicle afterward noticing this. Staff was very friendly and professional. Transaction otherwise was very smooth. It would have been nice to have had a more modern vehicle to select; one with rear view mirror, usb connections, and bluetooth.
