Overall U-Haul has been a major disappointment Had a reservation 6 weeks in advance for a 26 ft. truck. The day before I was scheduled to move and close on a house out of town they said the closest truck was over a Hundred miles away and that was the best they could do. I asked the scheduling person what good was it to reserve a truck … She said to reserve a U-Haul doesn’t mean that you’ll get one. So I had no choice to drive 230 miles roundtrip and get one. Then the next day the truck they recommended was too small so I had to get another truck and that too was supposed to be an hour away and while on our way to get it U-Haul scheduling called and said It wasn’t going to be there and the closest 15 ft truck was at a laundromat back home so I had to turn around and go back and get it. We were charged more for the 15ft truck than we were for the 26 ft. truck… nothing like gouging the customer. Then we got a truck to get a couch and we got cheated a half hour out of the 2 hour time and U-Haul said we didn’t fill the gas up to the level that we had at check in time. We were also charged for a dolly cart and blankets that we never even got. There needs to be competition for U-Haul… so inept and crooked… I will look elsewhere. Had enough of U-Haul will look to others for my next move.

Someone had tried to fix the drivers side mirror by gluing the bracket in. It broke during the drive, cutting my brother’s arm on flying glass. Not sure who did this, Vick’s Corner or another renter.

Customer service was great fixing a charge issue. Vicks Corner as usual great service except an employee at pick up that had an attitude.

Nothing! If all your Uhaul places were operated like this one, you would never have a reason for a customer complaint

I do not think that you give people enough notice about how far you may have to travel to pick up your equipment. In order to get the truck we wanted, we would have had to travel 1 1/2 hours, one way, to pick up the truck. Yes, you have a tiny little disclosure stating that travel may be required but I never thought we would have to travel that far. Also, we should have been contacted at least 3 or more days in advance to let us know and to provide various options. As it was, we only found out the day before and we were given another option but that option was also 1 hour away. We found this very frustrating, especially in a time of high stress and worry.

The U-haul was on 3/4 full of gas at pick up I would like a credit to my account of $25 since I returned it full in Spirit Lake.

The location was very congested due to an antique show The truck I was assigned was blocked in by parked cars. There was a second truck that was barely accessible. When I asked for the second truck, the location manager was not very helpful. He had told me the day before that getting out of his property would be difficult, but "difficult" is not the same as blocked in. Since I had made a reservation, I feel it would not have been out of the question to position my assigned truck in a location that was not congested. Whole process went smoothly. Trailer towed like a dream. And without incident for 800 mi.

The drop off spot wasn’t very clean but he was very nice to get along with and helped us out. Was very understanding of his job and talked us threw his final walk threw and everything. Did a good job of getting us back on our way.

The roof of the trailer had a spot where you could tell there was a patch weld on it. It happened to be raining the day I was moving and the trailer leaked horribly in that spot.

Of all the u-haul dealerships I have been, too, this is the only one I have seen oil the moving parts and check things over real good and take care of the trailers. He took the black rubber tags off the trailer chains and reversed them saying she had done them wrong at the pick-up place. Very friendly, I have dropped trailers off here before and both times the place was very friends, he looked over the gear very well, made sure it was cleaned out, greased all the moving parts up. I wish all the u-hauls I have used were more like this one.

Easy enough pick up process, but rented a 26 ft truck and uhaul called day prior to say only had 20 ft truck and an add on trailer at this location. That in itself probably is not the specific locations fault.... but the Trailer had horrible vibration. Truck itself was good although did need the bigger truck. Trailer was a help just wish it didnt vibrate so bad for a 3 hour trip. No walk around of the truck or trailer was done at pickup. Truck did have some cosmetic damages which I photographed. Reserved 3 dozen pads, location only had 1.5 dozen on hand. My rental contract still said 3 dozen even though got 1.5. This location really is a one man band so it kind of is what it is - got a truck, got trailer, got job done. Overall the move is done and all worked out.

Not make it the customers problem if they have a truck for in town if they need one back again for Intown the company should Supply it to them. They should not make me as a customer go 40 minutes out of my way because they can't take care of their dealerships. I wanted out of that building so fast I just kept initialling things just without reading.

Stop promising something you can not deliver. I reserved a 20 foot you guaranteed we would have it there in spencer. Instead you called 2 days prior and said only had 15 ft. And had to drive all the ed way to spirit lake to get it.

The gentleman had lubed the gears on the ratchet straps so that helped. He did a good job making sure it was securely attached to my vehicle which I appreciate - one week ago I rented one from a very sketchy location in grand junction and the worker did not connect the trailer to my truck properly. It came off while driving and damaged my brand new Truck and neither uhaul or the employee will accept responsibility. I had an infant in the vehicle and someone could have been killed. I provided gps documentation that I never came to a stop after I left and I have witnesses from the scene, all I asked for was to accept responsibility and help fix my truck. Now I have to go to court against them. What a waste of time and money but it’s about a point now. I do love the handy little trailers but that man needs shut down. My one complaint this time was the trailer was very tattered and was sent out with complete knowledge that lights on one side do not work. This company needs some serious help.

Vic's was good, but I had to drive from Spencer because they did not have the trailer even though the computer said they did. They called me prior, which was good. It would have been nice to save the 25 miles

Only disappointment was we had to drive 90 miles to pick up a 26 ft. truck. None were closer - and we had gone on line 3 weeks earlier to reserve one. Went to SD to pick up the truck, the car trailer we were able to get in our town.
