U-Haul rep was very nice. Made the check in process easy. Took us early and was very quick. It was nice not having to spend valuable time to get the truck. If this location was closer to where I live I would use them for all my rentals.

The driver's seat was beaten up on the left side of the seat. There was a nice cover over it but the cover did not stay in place. The cover was not the real problem, The seat was not comfortable or supportive, I had to continually compensate with the way I sat for the lack of support on the left side of the seat. Fortunately I was only driving for 30 consecutive minutes, if I'd been driving for hours it would have been unbearable.

My biggest issue was with the vehicle. It left something to be desired. Muffler was in need of service along with metal rattling at engine idle. Alignment way off with bad shocks and struts. It got the furniture to my place though so thank you for helping with that.

The only thing wrong was you can't get good reception where the store is located. So it takes forever to try to get your rental picked up online. I was there over and hour trying to get reception, just a bad service area for phones to complete internet pickup.

Another great experience! We've rented from Vermilion Midway several times now, and the experience is always good. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, trucks are ready on time and clean, and the process is smooth. Only issue is a U-haul issue: you can reserve a dolly or furniture pads online, but that does not mean the location has them, so call first to confirm those items. Applies to ANY U-haul location.

May want to have someone clean off the shift stick and steering wheel with Clorox pads. Spraying Fabreze is nice but that won't kill germs on these areas where people have there hands. Good hygiene is important.

Truck smelled like a smoking lounge. Seat was low. Must be the 147000 miles taking its toll on the truck. Cabin could use some refreshing up and cleaning. Renting and dropping off was a charm.

Truck smelled bad from cigarette smoking. Seat was very well worn on edge, check engine light was on the whole time. Sad to say, but a fairly typical u-haul rental from my experience. Vehicle drove fine and everything worked fine.

I ordered the Uhaul for 3 days. Thinking I would get 3 FULL days of use. No. I was charged extra because if you select 3 days, it has to be returned in the morning of day 3. Left a bad taste in my mouth.

Personnel at site were very nice and helpful but Uhaul (based on the scheduling personnel and policies stated by the scheduling ) lack any real customer satisfaction / customer relationship skills, and logic. Bases on this rental - dealing with the woman in scheduling (withheld name) and what she claims is uhaul policy - they have serious flaws in policy and defy any real logic when issues arise. What happened: towed a boat and extended family on vacation at the lake. Out of town, we found the local repair shop (Conrads) to be excessive so decide to trailer it back (confirmed by locals) I setup a one way rental point A to point B (about 3hrs) for $89. I planned to trailer it back to point B and return to point A to pick up the boat. Arriving at the rental location, they were very nice. They realized I was returning to get the boat and showed how I could save money if I simply pulled it back on my return. Cool. Chgd it to return same location. ( KEEP IN MIND THERE WAS ONLY ONE TRAILER AT THE PICKUP LOCATION WHICH WAS FOR MY ONE WAY RENTAL. ). I took the trailer, loaded it that evening to depart early morning ( 4 am) so I could make the return to get the family, boat, and rest of luggage, when we worked out a plan in which my nephew could haul the boat back for me. I called uhaul to chg back to one way. They stated I had to talk to scheduling - they closed at 7pm and open back up at 7 am. Explained I needed to leave at 4 am to meet return deadline. Found a way to make the orig one way work but need confirmation. They said different equipment is used for one way. I explained my orig reservation was one way and the trailer I had was that trailer as they only had one on the lot! Gentleman stated he saw it in the system but did not have access to chg it, only scheduling can do it, but in that it was the same trailer he didn't understand why it couldn't be done. Delayed departure until after 7 am. Called scheduling, who when a stated " Hi this is .... and I have a reservation" immediately said hold on and transferred me to the folks who told me to call them. Called back and she said I have your reservation in front of me. What can I do for you. Explained the situation and she said yes, but it would be 2x the normal one way rate. I asked why? She told me that they use different equipment for one way. I explained they only had one trailer and I booked it for one way - I was getting the same trailer for one way or local (return to same site) independent of local or one way. The statement then chgd to I voided the agreement to return it to local area so they had to charge me 2x the one way rate. I am on vacation, one vehicle disabled, and trying to get the everyone and thing back to point B. I travel extensively for pleasure/work and if I compare how UHaul (this individual and policy) to anyone I dealt with in a crisis situation, UHaul and this individual are the one of if not the worst I have encountered for customer service /

Very disappointed in the cleanliness of the truck. Not clean, smelled like smoke, trash in cab. We rented a truck in October and had a very good experience, this time was not as positive. Same professionalism from staff, equipment not at same level.

agent would not rent me the smaller size I wanted,she said they were all rented and none coming in the following day(when I needed vehicle). When I arrived both smaller vehicles were in the exact place they were the previous day,still would not rent;said she could not switch because they were closed;yet when she had to go into office to get stickers that were needed to mark previous damage to vehicle she was able to do that. Parked my car on pavement by office ,was asked to move to side of building in the gravel. There was a gentleman working on his car on the pavement!! That was allowable,brake job by friend/husband,but customer can not park on blacktop!! I have used this business before and would have given top ratings...never will I use this location again.I will tell everyone I can about the service from new employees/management. I am a local business owner,I know how customers should be treated,and this was not right!

I am very short and had trouble getting in and out of the truck. So, running boards would have helped a lot. But, other than that, everything was perfect!!

Counter person was late due to family emergency. Would be good if they had a back up plan. 4 people were waiting 10 minutes past 9 am and one guy left and went elsewhere. I rent twice a year for seasonal camping. I will give them another chance since they are located close to camp.
