I used the Uhaul app to reserve a van at the Jefferson Street, Harrisonburg location. When I got there the staff were completely ignorant of how to facilitate my rental. "the person who does Uhaul is on extended vacation". There was nothing they could do for me!!! I searched Google for my next nearest Uhaul and found the Market Street facility. Dont go here if your in need of a U-haul truck!!!! The man running the place seems nice but he's going to GOUGE you when it's all said and done. First of all when I rented the truck online I am pretty sure I selected on way trip. When I arrive to u hual pick up location he informs me that I had a in town truck and it had to come back to this location. I had to bite the bullet bc l needed the truck! Even though I knew this was gonna cost me and extra $1.29/mile. Then when it came to returning the truck all he told me was it had to be back Sunday by 9 a.m. that's it nothing else put the keys in the Dropbox easy peasy. I was charged $25 for returning the truck after hours for not notifying him. I had to look it up as it was listed as after hours service fee on the receipt. On top of that I was charged $20 for cleaning. Well he is going to be in a world of shock when I call his boss and inform them of this and inform them I have pictures of after I clean the truck inside and out. I spent at least an hour and a half cleaning the outside of the truck cleaning the bed out and cleaning the interior out only to get charged another $25. I'm telling you don't do yourself a favor and go here or you'll get charged unnecessary BSRobert K.

The app had trouble verifying by GPS that I was actually in the parking lot of the correct location for pick up -- had to retry multiple times. I was getting worried that it might not work -- and it was pouring down rain! Other than that -- all went well.SUSAN A.

The receiving location was not open during their stated hours of operation and then failed to report that the UHaul equipment had been received. The website should clearly state that there is a $10 mandatory insurance coverage fee unless you provide a copy of your declarations page at the time of the rental. Once you are onsite for pick up that is not possible. This is a U-Haul issue not VVM. They were fabulous!Lisa A.

This location was very hard to get into cause it was full of crap in the way. When we went inside the whole place looked like a tornado went thru it. We returned the unit a day early and left 3 of our blankets so she said she was going to put our contract on hold til the next day so we could bring the other blankets back... but they went ahead and charged us anyway! The over all experience was not good on that end. As you know moving a long distance is tough and when you have to deal with things like this as well it makes it worse... it has made my whole experience with uhaul a poor one.Jeremy S.

Everything was fine until I returned the truck. I had to sit and wait 25 minutes before I got in an office to checkout, Then the lady said she was having computer issues and wouldn't give me my $100.00 cash deposit or take our card payment. It was an hour and 15 minutes, I demanded she pay me and I was leaving! I'll never go back there. So unprofessional!!!!!WEHNDELL P.
