For one way trips , allow for local pick ups. We had to drive 1.5 hours one way to pick up rental. This significantly increased cost to us .Jim W.

The process and such was great. The only thing is I wish they would have done a better checking the tire pressure as it was lower when I got it and the service tire monitor system kept going off in the vehicle and we had to pull over a couple times to double check the air pressure adding on some time to my drive. Overall though fantastic location and people!!Samantha A.

I couldn't get the lock open. I called customer service & they indicated "oh, yeah, those locks at the Northfield location stick." I had to spend another 5 minutes in below zero temperatures trying to get the lock undone. Not cool.Brent K.
The inside of the truck was filthy. I was not the designated driver but the driver did not complain about anything else relating to driving the truck. The procedure before picking up the truck when the store is closed (Sat. mornings) seems VERY complicate so we picked up the truck the night before. That process was very good.judy K.

Your website repeatedly does not respond during the equipment return process, the wait time to access a person for assistance was unacceptable- 50 minutes in subfreezing cold. will try to avoid Uhaul in the future........David R.

I was provided less than 24 hour notice of my trucks location change from 5 minutes from my home to 45 minutes from my home. In addition to this, I had called and verified that uhaul trucks have connectors for tie downs to be attached on the floor of the truck and was told all trucks have this feature. This was apparently not true and nearly prevented me from transporting the equipment I needed to. None of this is a reflection on the Northfield location, while that staff did seem slightly confused by Uhauls processes, I think that's more on uhaul as a company rather than the employees there because they were helpful, kind, and empathetic to my situation. I am extremely dissatisfied by how this rental was handled by uhaul.AMBER K.

The location and vehicle itself was good. The issue is the app. I was not able to upload images of the odometer and fuel because of issue with the app. I tried for over 30 minutes and there is no 'help' or chat in that part of the app. There is while checking out a vehicle but not check in. I had to create a roadside assistance claim to show an image of the mileage and fuel and check in time. Then I tried from 3pm-9pm to talk to customer service (which is what I was told I had to do from roadside associate) only to find out customer service cannot do it anyway. I was on the phone 4 times with customer service and the phone was disconnected. I was in 4 different locations where I had service, so it was a uhaul phone issue, not my issue. Then had to call back and give my name for a callback over 60 minutes later. Only to be hung up on again. Was not a great experience.MATTHEW B.
2nd time I've dropped off at this location. Both times the staff were very nice, however, (both times) two days later, I got a call asking when I was going to drop off the trailer...not sure the check-in process is very efficient. I will definitely use them again as this is where I live, but I will ask for a receipt when dropping off.Patrick O.

Autohaus itself was great. UHaul was the issue. The night before pickup, UHaul changed my pickup location to be an hour from the place I reserved two months ago, which was infuriating. Then when I arrived the trailer I was assigned to was crashed by a previous renter. Luckily, Autohaus when the extra mile and got me into another trailer.Steve D.

They offered NO ASSISTANCE with hookup and acted like I was inconveniencing them. They did not come out to check the hookup or check lights. I found out later the left signal/brake light was out. They said when I got the trailer hooked up to pull up front and they would bring the packing blankets out to me. I had to go inside and they just pointed to a pile on the floor by the door. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!DAVID G.

Web site is unbearable, tried many times to edit account but was unable, email with slow response, Wausau site would not answer calls (x10), phoned costumer service-long wait then transferred, not helpful. Local dealer OK (Northfield) Will use different company in future.BRUCE H.

Call from U-haul Sunday with a pickup location change. Thirteen miles...fast forward to Tuesday and its 28 miles. The location opened at 7:30 am. The person who was able to dispatch me at Valley Autohaus was supposed to come in at 8 am. I was on a schedule and called the U-haul number for help. The person at U-Haul said I needed to download the app to access the key box. My internet connection was such that I could not download the app. Asked for the Wi-Fi password a couple of times and received an incorrect password with a shrug and a "who knows" attitude. Long, long, long story short I called U-Haul several times, spoke with Mandy and I believe Sean. On the fifth (5th) call Sean dispatches me and gives me the code I need to get the key. With an MIA dealer and such, I would think we could have arrived at the "code over the phone" sooner. Autohaus you have some lackadaisical and MIA employeesDoug M.

They were closed on drop off day. Not great signage but luckily between Google and the fact that there happened to be a couple of other Uhaul's parked nearby we found the lock box. We returned the vehicle on 29 Aug (location was closed that day but we had called and were told it was ok to park and drop key in lock box but was recorded returned the following day and we were charged $40 for an extra day.Everett D.
I have a reservation for a truck in New Prague and they changed it to Northfield due to availability, which was frustrating because I got a confirmation email for New Prague but when they called to confirm the day before they said I can't go there. That incident was extremely frustrating.Trinity L.
