This location and the Fast Gas and Propane location were poorly run, disorganized, and did not have the right materials. I requested a 15ft truck and it was not available so I ended up at the Valero location. The new location did not have the dollies, furniture pads, or anything else I requested along with the vehicle. Had to fill out my information multiple times after doing the online check-in system.

The workers were rude! they are giving uhual a bad look With there arrogant nonchalant attitudes up there at the Valero Gasoline station in San Lorenzo Ca location,they have poor customer service , when there internet went down I waited over 1hr they called customer service and put them on speaker saying my personal info out loud, the customer service rep instructed them not to do so the told me to call on my own phone ,they made me feel uncomfortable even after Ipatiently Dealt with there discrepancies .

Pick up location was a gas station, hence the average rating. It was just a mile from our location. Attendant was friendly and helpful, pick up easy, facility was clean, for a gas station.

I had problems getting into my uhaul only because there was no parking for my car. So I had to leave catch a lyft and come back. Then my reservation was cancelled because I was late...the customer service people really helped me get it going and I am thankful and appreciative for them. Thank you. What seemed like a headache was resolved and expedited to help me along. Thank you again.

My only complaint is that I was charged $10 for a dolly but didn't get a dolly in my rental truck. The authorized dealer of Uhaul refuse to help me dispute this.

I was charged over $120.00 more than I was quoted online. The agent was dismissive when I told him the location I reserved online was not this location and we did not reserve a 9am reserved time because our flight wouldn't even land until after 10am. He repeated we were lucky the truck was still available. Our original old location reservation was reserved after 12 noon. I told him we had called at least 3 times and left messages that we were on our way because no one answered the phone each time we called. He did not have reply to that - not even an apology for not answering his phone at least three times. I was completely dissatisfied with the service I received. When entering the truck there were old water bottles in the truck cup holders, 1/8 tank of gas in the truck, and old paperwork in the glove compartment. My biggest issue was the over charge. I would like an explanation of why there was such a big difference in price online vs price at this location.

First off, the attendant couldn't find the keys to the truck that was originally reserved for me so he looked for a second truck which turned out to be unavailable and then he found a third truck for me. The gas tank on the truck was not full which was fine as long as I wasn't going to be charged for it as being a full gas tank. I informed the attendant and I took pictures of the gas tank indicator for proof. I filled the tank up just the way it was when I picked up the truck. I checked my account this morning and they did in fact overcharge me for the gas that I should or have not been charged for because it wasn't a full tank. I've called the location a few times to dispute the extra charges and there's no answer so now I have to drive over there. My experience was was not that great. What was supposed to be about a $50 or $60 dollar total charge has now when up to $85 for extra bullshit that I didn't sign up for. I am not happy!

UBER to P/U truck but Reservation was switched to different location. Sat on hold with customer svc for an hour to get reserve back to original. Truck was a mess with windshield weather strip falling off...window cranks broke...bird droppings took 20 min to clean all glass.

The man's English was very limited and was unable to answer any of my questions regarding charges. He did communicate that I should call 1-800-UHaul. I called customer service and waited over 15 minutes to be connected to a representative. I hung up and will probably never attempt to call U-Haul customer service again.

The personnel in the gas station were rude and not helpful. The pick-up process was confusing, the gas station attendant had the keys instead of the keys being locked outside in a box. Also upon return the attendant rudely asked for a return confirmation, which in my view isn't necessary when Mobile Pick-Up/Return options was selected

The truck I rented was supposed to half 1 dozen blankets and a refrigerator dolly. The location had no blankets available and the types of dollies available were not suitable for moving anything but light items. I also was not aware that there was a fixed mileage associated with the price I paid until I received the final statement.

When I made my reservations on line.I reserved the truck for 9a.m. in Hayward & it said I could go 211 miles which was cutting it close.The night before I was to pick up the truck I got a email saying the truck wasn't going to be ready until4p.m.& it was at a different location. That didn't work for me! I couldn't sleep that night .I had people coming to help me move that were driving 3 1/2 hours away! & my move was 3 & 1/2 hour further (200miles). I got it striated out after trying to get through for over an hour to the 1 person who could help me the next morning . Now I'm being charged for extra milage & for cleaning? I swept out the bed of the truck.What else was there to clean?

Retailer pulled blanket out of uhaul apologizing for a homeless man sleeping inside the back when it isn't in use. I had to clean the back myself before putting any of my items inside.

The truck was parked in a precarious spot and I needed to carefully back it out so I didn't damage the truck from the start. The gas station attendant brought my other rental equipment from the back of the gas station where it was simply left in the rain or in the case the blankets were just covered by another blanket. I was not provided any receipt at the time of pickup.

The agent couldn't find my reservation, was on the phone while tending to me, he smelled bad, didn't bother to come to the vehicle to check the mileage nor the gas tank before nor after we used it. He displayed no courtesy towards my husband or me. Never using this one ever again. The one in Hesperian is 100% better.

Online check in and verification process should be more smooth. The process requires taking photos of your license and yourself and validating with two alternate contacts but this information should be asked to be completed online prior to arrival. It's difficult to take clear photos in the car. I didn't know uhaul would be calling my alternate contacts and did not give them a heads up so they did not pick up the phone call from an unrecognized number. This location was remodeling and didn't have access to the computer so the in person pick up process was lengthy. I was told they could not check me in. I was also told they did not have a utility dolly for me despite a confirmation email that I had one reserved. Only after speaking with the gas station manager over the phone and demanding the dolly did they produce it.

I'd recommend teaching the personnel at this location about customer service and uhauls policies. I disagreed with the mileage and charges and they told me I would have to call uhaul and that I could do so whenever i liked and from anywhere. I felt that they were encouraging me to leave sooner rather than later so i did. I immediately called customer service who then informed me that they couldnt help me because the bill hadnt been settled and i had already left the location. This dead end runaround is complete garbage.

Found the staff to be rude and unfriendly. Location is not wheelchair friendly. And the inside of the truck was not cleaned. Went 4 1/2 miles and spent money on two gallons of gas because this location is a gas station and they can't keep the fuel tank full. And the staff not very friendly. We kept having to wait because our sales agent was also the teller for the gas station and they kept interrupting what we were doing to collect money. 45 minutes to get the truck is ridiculous.

I normally go the the UHAUL Corporate Store in Hayward. The service has really gone DOWNHILL, long lines, a million vehicles and one person assisting customers. Do not plan to return. LOVE this San Lorenzo Valero Store. Will take my business there. Just SO SURPRISED that a corporate uhaul store is worse than a branch off a gas station.
