Remove US smoke Shop as a place to rent equipment. I was sent there by the N. Belt St. Joseph location to rent a dolly st 1230 today. I got there at 1220 and didn't leave til a little after 100. The lady had no idea how to do it, told me she didnt, had to take care of convenience store customers as well as me, one computer didnt work so she went back and forth between two, tried to get a $75 deposit even tho I was using a card and I told her we didn't do that last time, she had to call someone several times to ask how to do it, I asked about the wiring adapter and she had no clue and had to call and was told it would be by the tags...when it wasnt there she said it must've went with a previous customer so she didnt know what to tell us so dont know....we had to drive all the way back home to get our own and then the lights on the dolly didnt even work and I had to follow the dolly to our destination afterall so more gas and it put us another half an hour behind schedule, the parking lot was full of holes and could give you whiplash, I asked the lady if the dolly had to be returned there or if it could be returned at the Belt location and she said it could be returned at the Belt one but when we went to the Belt one to return it we were told that we couldn't! I got on the phone right away and called the Smoke Shop and the Belt Uhaul guy Ricky denied saying we "couldn't" when he plainly DID. I'm so done with Uhaul. We rented a dolly in August to haul this same vehicle and the lights didnt work on the dolly either, after this dame Ricky said they did but when I followed it out of the parking lot I saw they weren't so I followed it to our destination to be safe. I was lucky enough to get a refund this time but I think something needs to be done about this business on Lake Ave renting out your equipment....it needs to cease immediately.

We were hoping they had boxes, we had to go to a second location for boxes....it didn't have the 6x12 trailer that we needed. Average customer service.

We were told we had an extra day to return it. They did not alter the contract so receiving location expected it earlier. The cab and windows were filthy.

Your customer service rep left a lot to be desired. Unfriendly! Almost rude! Very curt! Said U Haul was their lowest priority! Acted like it was inconvenient to work with me!

For what it is as a drop-off location, totally fine. The parking lot, however, is extremely poor condition. The shop is very dirty and smelly, a sketchy place. But all we did was drop the keys and that was very easy.

She was rude. They didn’t come check the truck at all. They made me move the truck and get all the info myself. Not very professional. Just be lucky I am an honest person.
