i SHOULD HAVE GOT A FULL REFUND. I went there and they only had three trailers. I needed one. Not only did it take an hour I was told to go hook it up by myself. NO HELP. Have you ever tried to back and then lift and move a 6x12 double axle trailer. INJURED MY BACK AND CUT THE HELL OUT OF MY HAND. Then they have the audacity to tell me they have to take a picture to make sure I HOOKED IT UP RIGHT. TOTAL BSDennis K.

The front of the truck was filthy. There was sticky stuff spilled on the floor and seats that I had to wash off before I used it. There was no one there to assist with hooking up the trailer It took forever as the cashier at the smoke shop had to keep helping other customers. They tried to charge me for insurance that I did not order. The on line picture loading of the condition of the truck took a long time and was not user friendly.Rod R.

Back of the trailer had plastic wrap trash and was overall very dirty and had to be swept out before I could use it. When I returned the vehicle to the store I had to wait over 30 minutes as the clerk told me they didn't know what to do and that I'd just have to wait while they continued to do other things. Remove US smoke Shop as a place to rent equipment. I was sent there by the N. Belt St. Joseph location to rent a dolly st 1230 today. I got there at 1220 and didn't leave til a little after 100. The lady had no idea how to do it, told me she didnt, had to take care of convenience store customers as well as me, one computer didnt work so she went back and forth between two, tried to get a $75 deposit even tho I was using a card and I told her we didn't do that last time, she had to call someone several times to ask how to do it, I asked about the wiring adapter and she had no clue and had to call and was told it would be by the tags...when it wasnt there she said it must've went with a previous customer so she didnt know what to tell us so dont know....we had to drive all the way back home to get our own and then the lights on the dolly didnt even work and I had to follow the dolly to our destination afterall so more gas and it put us another half an hour behind schedule, the parking lot was full of holes and could give you whiplash, I asked the lady if the dolly had to be returned there or if it could be returned at the Belt location and she said it could be returned at the Belt one but when we went to the Belt one to return it we were told that we couldn't! I got on the phone right away and called the Smoke Shop and the Belt Uhaul guy Ricky denied saying we "couldn't" when he plainly DID. I'm so done with Uhaul. We rented a dolly in August to haul this same vehicle and the lights didnt work on the dolly either, after this dame Ricky said they did but when I followed it out of the parking lot I saw they weren't so I followed it to our destination to be safe. I was lucky enough to get a refund this time but I think something needs to be done about this business on Lake Ave renting out your equipment....it needs to cease immediately.trish H.

For what it is as a drop-off location, totally fine. The parking lot, however, is extremely poor condition. The shop is very dirty and smelly, a sketchy place. But all we did was drop the keys and that was very easy.Lauren W.

Make sure you know what trailer your picking up, they did not ask me what trailer I was getting, took about 30 minutes, because they was going back and forth with doing the contract and waiting on customers , then overcharged me because they put in the wrong trailer, which they never asked me which trailer, I wanted the open trailer and they charged me for the enclosed trailer . Thanks to the people at Rush that I was refunded because they paid attention.JANET R.

She took about 45 minutes to get the paperwork for my trailer that I had booked online and it should have only taken approximately 5-10 minutes to have me on my way and she was extremely rude! This location was not staffed well. There was NO inspection of the auto trailer when dropped and they had no equipment to show the return date/time/condition other than a signature. I WOULD NEVER recommend this location. PISS POOR service and attitude. No assistance in parking other than "next to the other trailer." I suggest UHAUL drop their relationship with US Smoke Shop - if you want to keep a good name. The location is trashy, grubby and poorly maintained.steven J.

The clerk was rude and said out loud that she "didn't care" about my issue. She could not find my rental in her computer system and tried to get me to go to another location to turn in my equipment. I told her my turn in location was there and showed her my paperwork. I had to get a Uhaul Transportation Agent on the phone to assist me. She heard a lot of what was said to me and apologized. I got no apologies from the clerk/local agent. I have rented several Uhauls over the years and have never been treated this poorly. In fact, this was the third truck I had rented just in 2015.MARILYN P.
I will not rent from UHaul again. I understand the 24 hour rental policy, I was 2 1/2 hours over my 48 hours and they did not offer anything at all for a discount or anything. In the past I have always used UHaul for my rental needs. I will be using another business from now on.SCOTT C.

When we picked this up there was one lady working. This location's sole business is cigarette's and alcohol sales. (Which we aren't prudes or strongly religious so that part didn't bother us at all). We walked in...."Here to pick up a car dolly".. Ok. Well then people started coming in to buy their regular goods and we kept being pushed to the side "I'm sorry I'm the only one here and I need to ring these people up". Really, we were pushed to the side for multiple transactions until the lady figured out we were clearly getting annoyed as their regular patrons come in at a continuous pace. Why was it okay for us to stand around and wait but not the people who kept trailing in after us??? The trailer did exactly what we rented it for and was in good shape. However, I will NEVER rent from this location again and quite frankly it's been years since we've used U-Haul. It put a bad taste in my mouth and I will extensively search my other options next time.SARA T.

Unit was dirty on the outside, which is understandable. The inside of the cab was a pit. It had spilled food, milk shakes, mud and the steering wheel was dirty/greasy/slimy. I felt sorry for the woman that was working there helping us and did not make it an issue. She was the only one working that tobacco/liquor/Uhaul store. I did feel that if I had not cleaned it before returning it I would have been hit with the cleaning charges.NORMAN J.

Sticky inside uhaul only 1/4 tank gas and did not have working internet so couldn't find predone reservation. Could not give me proper receipt and had to call 1800 gouhaul number to verify still okay. Took over 50 minutes to check out and did not come out to inspect truck or write mileage or fuel down.BECKY G.
The truck was dirty never cleaned out from before had an empty gas tank and there were dirty pair of men's underwear and a woman's thong I let them know all my issues and was told well we lock our trucks up that is funny since I went out to the truck and it was unlocked I have never had such a horrible expierence and next time I will not be using uhaul and I will let people knowCHRISTIE P.

This location was in a liquor store/smoke shop and the person, while very friendly and helpful, had to wait on every person that came in the store while helping me. This slowed the process down considerably. Again, the person who assisted me was very good...it was just the process of a small outlet. I would not recommend the location due to it being 4 hours from my home when there are better St. Joseph locations.Jeffrey B.

When we called to get directions no one was able to assist. We finally found the store and a very young girl was left to help us. She had no idea how to properly refund our money on the car tow dolly since we had already paid for it and it was not at their location. After 15 minutes of just waiting for help to arrive, I figured out what needed to be done. We finalized the transaction and she walked me out to the truck. She pointed to the smallest truck they had and I asked her again to confirm. She walked me to the truck and I was very shocked at how small it was. When I drove all the way home, my movers noticed that the truck was only 10feet long and I had reserved and pre-paid for a 17 foot truck. I called them back and explained that the truck was too small and again the young girl was rude and told me "there's nothing I can do about it, that's the truck you reserved here in our records." I had her put on the supervisor and she walked out and stated that the young girl in fact, did give me the wrong truck. I drove all the way back and picked up the correct truck. It was a complete waste of valuable time and we will not use that store again. Also, we were notified the night before our move that our car tow dolly was located 31 miles out of our direction of travel. We had reserved the dolly weeks prior. Another major obstacle we had to work out. We were not satisfied with any transaction except for the lady in KC who helped me with the dolly.LORI E.
