This location does not have pick up before 11. I was sent here for a 930 pick up time. Ended up waiting 1.5hrs for the location to open and me to pick up the key.

September 1, 2023, pick up for 11:30am. Reference number #12795108 I showed up to Uno market place at 11:45am and the person at the front of the restaurant told me that the representative for Uhaul hasnt been in the store yet. It was later revealed that the representative has not shown up for the past 2 days... The cook in the restaurant told to do the online check in and they would give me a code to get access to the truck key, however, there was no lock box for the specific truck i was given and the keys needed to be handed over to me. I waited in the parking lot for a hour and 20 mins talking to many customer service representatives and only 2 out of the 6 people that I talked to were empathetic and helpful. At 1pm, as I am still on the phone with customer service, the Uhaul representative pulls up in the parking lot, enters the store and immediately starts to help customers in the restaurant. It was only until his co-worker suggested to him that he should help me with the Uhual did he come over and talk to me. He stated that he was resolving an issue in Toronto and was driving back as fast as he could. I asked if he knew that there was a rental at 11:30am that day and he said yes but needed to resolve the issue in Toronto. So he knew that I was going to be there and left for Toronto anyway with no back up plan. The rep just ended up giving me the keys to the vehicle, without signing any documentation, and I had to ask if i could extend my time. I had to go back into the store and ask if he wanted to do a circle check of the vehicle together and he said that he already had that information and i could do it 'if i wanted to'. The representative was defensive, rude and not helpful. It felt like I was interfering with his day by being there. By far the worst U-Haul experience I have ever had and it was very frustrating to deal with that on my moving day. I was also told that I would be given a refund for my poor experience yet I was still charged $96.19 on my credit card. I would really like a refund and to know if that representative has been spoken with.

The representative was late when I arrived to pick up the vehicle then decided to rip me off. I drove 17 miles (stated on your invoice). The vehicle I rented uses approximately 1 gallon or 3.785 litres of fuel per 10 miles (as stated on your website). That means I should have burned approximately 1.7 gallons or 6.434 litres of fuel. I have a receipt for the purchase of 10.267 litres of fuel at 2:09pm. Right before I dropped off the vehicle. This was on Tuesday August 1st. I received a phone call from Uhaul on Thursday asking if the vehicle was returned. It was returned on Tuesday! I then receive an invoice that has a $60 charge for 30 lites or 8 gallons of fuel because a claim was made that I did not return the vehicle with the same amount fuel as when I picked it up (which I did). Even if I didn’t refuel it, I please explain how I burned 80 miles worth of fuel while only driving 17. I AM BEING RIPPED OFF!!!

I booked a 9’ van for a mobile pickup, and when I checked in on the app it didn’t tell me I needed to pick up the key from the agent. When I went inside they told me there was a code to use to get into the van. I expected that from the video in the app, so I was looking all around the van and couldn’t find anything. Finally went back in and the guy realized he had to give me the key. It’s not his fault because he doesn’t work for U-Haul, just the restaurant, and the U-Haul guy wasn’t there. All in all it was very confusing and not time efficient. I with it was more clearly communicated ahead of time.

The van I rented was in good working order, however it was not clean at all. I had to clean the console and sweep the dirt /branches out of the back, I tried to get the pet hair (I think) off the seats the best I could using a sticky roller. The location and contact at Uno Marketplace was friendly and quick to deal with. Overall I would rent again, but it would have been nice to have a cleaner vehicle.

This was a horrible experience - the cook at the restaurant tried to get me on my way - the online check-in was a joke - the location did not have the ordered equipment - Furniture dolly, and pads, and the lock was seized so I couldn't open to get the key for the truck. When booking this location, it did not indicate that it wasn't a full-service U-Haul center. I was two hours trying to pick this up. The only thing that went right was the check-out on the return.

The people at this location were very friendly and efficient. However, I wish the van would have had snow tires. The van got stuck in my snow covered driveway twice and it took me 1 hour to get out of this situation. Backing up the van was a nightmare. Upon looking at the tires, they were fairly bald. Safety is a huge issue driving with bald tires and especially when you live in Canada is extremely dangerous.

I put the fuel in before I return it. But still I got charged for the fuel money. I have my file bill receipt. I want my over charged money back.
