Parker L.I had a reservation for 9:00 AM. Nobody showed up to open and finally I had to do a 24/7 truck share at almost 10:00 AM. We were late for our appt. If your not going to be open there is such a thing called a " Phone call ". Two other people were also there waiting!!

John W.The store where I picked up the trailer had vulgar political statues and posters. Regardless of the political party, I would not return to this location. The truck had not been cleaned out, but it was easy enough for me to clean.

JEFFREY B.In reference to my U-Box arriving on time answer — when we ordered them we were given a date for the delivery of the boxes, but they never showed up and when I called (2 days later) I was told they were not sure when we would get them. Since we had a time constraint, that caused us concern. In the end, we did get them just before we needed them, but with no time to spare.

debbie D.Universal Rental are good people. UHaul aren't. I reserved a trailer two weeks early. Got an email a few days before pickup that I had to go to a different location 30 miles away. Oversold trailers. Lights didn't work when I arrived. Had to move that day. Had to rent a 26' truck. $400 vs. $40. And a very stressful move day made worse. UHaul refused to reimburse the difference. Offered me 25% to go away. Terrible Company. Can't hold a reservation, won't fix a problem. Go to Penske.

BRIAN JAMES P.The van ran ok and did what we needed it to do. The pick up site was a little less than desirable as the clerk was listening to other conversations and I felt I was second. There was a little trash in the van - I couldn't get the cruise control to work. After hours drop off was convenient.

Robert H.Tried to check in at Universal Rent to Own's location at location at 1921 N. Mitchell street. Agent was unable to check me in at that location. He said my contract number was not a valid number even though I had a printed copy of the contract. He sent me to the Universal Rent it All location on Boon road and told me to park it there and put the keys in the drop box. I did that on July 3 rd. I checked with the Boon road location on July 6 at 10:00AM and the truck still was not checked in. When I took the truck to the Mitchell street location, I had the gas gage on half full. After driving the truck to the Boon road location the needle was on the low side of the mark but it was touching the mark. 4 days later they claimed it was well below half full and charged me for 3 gallons of gas. I now know that I should have done the check in with my cell phone but why didn't the agent suggest that instead of sending me to another location? If I'd done the self check in, I wouldn't have lost 3 gallons of gas driving to another location and evaporation.

ETHAN RILEY H.The communication was terrible. The truck the was supposed to deliver the u boxes apparently broke down so the boxes could not be delivered. I had to call and set up a time for me to drive 2 hours to pick them up myself! I left multiple messages for the “manager†and could never actually speak to him.
MEGAN REBEKAH G.Drivers delivering and picking boxes this last time were very nice and efficient. Trying to get my boxes from Grand Rapids to Cadillac was more of issue. Part of the issue is that they were supposed to bring Cadillac in January but never got shipped up until April 27

STEVEN DAVID G.Owner where I rented from was grouchy and unfriendly, as if my business with him was unimportant to him when I checked in the returned truck. Text messages from Uhaul are great IF you are in an area where there is good cell service on your phone.

STEVEN RICHARD C.Both the delivery and the pick up of the U-Boxes was a challenge due to our steep driveway in the dead of winter. Both drivers showed determination and grit in accomplishing their tasks. In the future you might consider carrying chains for the tires on the donkey.
