Rentals are not checked in upon customers returning them. I was never provided with my contract, or receipt when I picked up the rental. What I was told by the location is that they never experienced a system error where they are unable to print and/or email the contract. So I was told once the rental was returned, I should contact Uhaul directly for my paperwork. I contacted your company twice for my receipt. I was advised the rental was not checked in when I returned it and an area manager was contacted and was going to have the rental checked in and a receipt sent. A day later no receipt was received, so I contacted customer service again and was told by the rep that I should call the location again and ask them to check the rental in. As a Manager myself and a customer this was very poor customer service. I finally did receive a receipt ~36hours after I returned the rental.

Only b/c the guy running the place was very nice on the phone. "Service" what service? It's all Self-Service and the app fir returning the equipment is a joke.

Lavone J.I came to pick up my rented cargo van but it never arrived on time so they basically told me I could settle for the one that was on flat. I came 45 mins early just to leave 30 mins after me scheduled time. Then who ever had the van before me left all types of trash in the back so I know for a fact it wasn't checked

I feel that if a customer asks for a pickup location to be in a certain area, not necessarily a specific location, it shouldn't be hard to relocate a truck to one of those other locations in the preferred area, especially when the pickup time is in the afternoon. If the company feels that there isn't a problem with forcing the customer to drive 40 min out of the way, then the company shouldn't have a problem sending a paid employee 40min away to bring a truck to a more convenient location.
Dominic M.1) Was shocked to find the shop closed. 2) When i tried to speak with the first customer care representative about this situation, they claimed i opted for mobile pick up, although i did not and suggested going online and going through steps to retrieve keys. When i tried following those steps, the system suggested that i came too early and to repeat the process at 2:45 pm ( when my reservation confirmation clearly states a pick up time at 2:30 pm) 3) when i tried to speak with a second representative about this, this time she claims pick up is for 3:45 pm, when my screen clearly displayed time at 2:45 pm. 4) this person clearly had to clue so i asked to be connected to a supervisor. 5) supervisor was extremely helpful who tried to do his part. After this i had to go through series of identification steps with a horrible web page not very convenient, so had to do all this again on an app. ( 1 hour on phone) I had specifically done all this verification process online on the day i booked truck so as to save time. 6) finally when it got to the step of calling a secondary contact, the entire website crashed. 7) The supervisor finally had to make a few phone calls to “ field officer†who finally called me to give combination to the locker to retrieve keys. It was an utterly disastrous experience and will never use U haul ever again and would suggest the same to friends. I had to pay 1.5 hours of unnecessary labour charge for 2 helpers i had hired by the hour.
