When I picked the truck up they had no blankets for me, I had to go to another location to get blankets. When I picked the truck up the check engine light was on so I drove back to the pickup location they were closed.BERNARD B.

Untrustworthy company. I had contacted Uhaul immediately letting them know that I forgot to take a picture of the odometer before I dropped off the keys in the drop-off box after hours. The operator reassured me that I did not have to worry. I found out the next day that I was overcharged by $103 because Uniquities had falsely input that I traveled 214 miles with the rental even though I only traveled ~45 miles. Upon contacting Uhaul I was sent an email by the field manager who said he was unable to verify it. Only after bringing it up to my bank was he miraculously able to do "further research" and refund me the money. Save your time and money on a more reliable company.Megan S.

I did not receive the 2 dozen moving blankets as requested but was charged. When I called to ask for a refund. I was refunded for 1 dozen but still charged for the other even though I received none.Ashley L.

The biggest issue was that they did not have the equipment that was reserved (appliance dolly) so I had to go to a different Uhaul, complete a second rental agreement then bring it back before dropping the truck off. I'm not even sure they have an appliance dolly - they should not be able to secure a reservation if they dont have the equipment in stock. Further, they did not explain that gas would be charged at $4+ / gallon if not refueled Last, there was a $20 phantom charge that was unexplained on the final receipt. It was classified as "sales items (see below)" yet there was no explanation what that was.Jason D.

Be very specific about the information given during your reservation call. I was mistakenly reserved under an incorrect name and phone number and my reservation was canceled at 51st and Cactus. Luckily, the 59th & Bell Rd. location came through with the truck that I needed! I always depend on Uhaul for dependable truck and trailer rentals. I move a lot of furniture donations going to the DAV Chapter #1- Phoenix. âââââThomas M.

This location was sketchy and the people there were trying to sell mattresses rather than help customers who wanted a U-Haul. There were no ratchet straps in the U-Haul to keep our furniture from shifting around so that was bad.Susana G.

When I rented the van from this facility, the gas tank was on empty. I told the store about this, and I was told that they would take care of it when I return the vehicle. I took a picture of how much gas was put in and the dollar amount from the gas pump and uploaded it to the website, it was over $74. Once I return the vehicle I had sent several emails to the person in charge and as of today's date, 10/15/19, I have not received any type of reimbursement for having to pay that much money to gas up their vehicle. I was not expecting a $74 refund, but I was at least expecting to get half of that money back on the backend. I could not find the actual gas receipt, however, The picture I uploaded to the website should have been enough to prove how much was spent to fill up the gas tank. I would not recommend this facility to anybody else going forward. And I would not recommend this facility to purchase the other items they have for sale at this facility.Tony D.

I was walked out to the back parking lot. She walked me to the trailer and said here this one. Turned and walked away.. Leaving me to inspect the trailer and hook it up myself. When I tried to return it I was told, sorry the Uhaul is closed today.(They are part of a furniture store). No one will be here today and tomorrow. Come back in a few days, or take it to another Uhaul.Gloria W.

I had reservation at one location then got a call from U-haul that the equipment I requested was not available about 16 hours before pickup. Instead after some discussion I was given two location 36 miles apart, one for the truck the other for the auto transport. This was a huge problem, this meant I needed to leave my car at one location, take the truck an pack then got the the second location to get the auto transport and back to the first location. The first location was nice and did a good job the second location was a nightmare, it was a furniture store and didn't have any one to connect the auto transport non did they know how to get me my 50 dollar discount that Uhaul promised. So the poor rate above is for the furniture store. When I did get the auto transport and drove back to the first store, the first store was very helpful they connected the auto transport correctly and I drove the car on the trailer and they locked down the car. the first store was great. However, this U-haul experience in Phoenix was good to start but due to changing my location caused me a nightmare in terms of pick-up and equipment connection. Truck and auto transport traveled very well to Tulsa.Carl H.

i arrived at the location and was unable to retrieve the key. The combination was wrong to get into the box to retrieve the key. The code was actually for another box, i know this because i out of curiosity used it on another lockbox. Eventually, i got a hold of customer service and they contacted the owner of the establishment that maintains the vehicles. The gentlemen came out of the store and unlocked the other boxes to see if there were keys in them and there were keys. not just for the one i wanted to rent. I told the customer service rep. look I have to be somewhere in 20 minutes just give me a vehicle that fits these keys. we did got a smaller one and the costumer service rep said that they would adjust my contract and receive a discount. not sure where the discount was applied. there wasn't .Kathy H.

This was the WORST experience. I rented a 19.95/day plus mileage Van for a 5-hour rental @ .59/mile which was fine. What I did not expect was to pay $122.62. I am beyond upset and disgusted at what I was charged to pick up a bedroom set I needed to pick up for a family member. I expected $60 but not DOUBLE this. Will NEVER rent from you again I did not have that kind of money to spend on the furniture and then another $120 on the rental for a few hours. DISGUSTED.michelle H.

When I return the truck comment I was in the process of checking out and the system took me to a survey. I was unable to get the instructions for returning the truck after the survey popped up and took over the processTimothy C.
Man handling paperwork seemed like he was not very knowledgeable about the process, to the point of calling the original location to verify things he needed help with. The location itself also did not feel very official. Everything was handled in the middle of the discount store, and my drivers license was copied on outdated equipment he had to run multiple times. I was also not provided a copy of anything, and the dolly I requested with my order was not provided at the new location. I got only what I needed and got out, and while some people might appreciate a super chill environment, I would have preferred an improved level of professionalism during an already stressful time.Ashley T.

The employee at this location said he had never completed a U-Haul rental before. This is a mattress store and they are not familiar with the U-Haul process. Took well over an hour to have this completed and they were not friendly or helpful.Nadia G.
