1. The van was NOT cleaned before the keys were given to us. 2. The van completely smells of cigarette smoke. There was cigarettes and cigarette butts in van and within the blankets (I have photos) The worker at the u haul place even saw it and kicked some out. I have asthma and this made the rental very difficult. 3. We were given USED blankets by the worker. The worker told us there were blankets already in there, only for us to later find out they were dirty and smells like smoke. And now my belongings smell like smoke. As you know, when moving we are on a tight timeline, as well as the long line up at the pick up place, we had to endure this.As a result, I feel I should be compensated for this negligence. I already have a file open at u haul and was told to call CAFNipuni R.

Ordered a van, when I got there they said they had none. Waited two hours to end up with a truck that I did not feel comfortable using. When I asked them how to use it they said they didn't know because they didn't drive. The owner then charged me a different figure to what I was supposed to be charged and when I asked for a breakdown of the cost he told me he didn't have time for this and grabbed the keys out of my hand. The employees were friendly but I was double-charged for two pieces of equipment and reached out via the email on the receipt to have corrective measures taken; thus far I heard nothing and my credit card statement does not reflect any change. Though not an extreme over-charge, it still leaves a sour taste with me especially considering that at the end I had the employee double-check that I had returned the items that I rented.Robin S.

This location has a very different feel from other Uhaul businesses I have rented from before, but on the other hand it's great that it's located in downtown Toronto: helpful for people living in the city.GREGORY C.
Very helpful staff but the locations needs to be cleaned up and organized better. The confirmation email sent to me to pick up the rental initially showed a different address than the actual pick up location. Customers should be informed of any changes to the pick up location via text, email etc as soon as possible so there is no inconvenience during the pickup date. Drop off is generally smooth but pick up process needs to improve. Wait time is way too long and in efficient.Kirubel A.

They are always out of the promised equipment, there are random vehicles parked in the drop off spaces so it's always chaotic trying to park your truck at the end of the trip. These guys are about as disorganized as possible.Benjamin W.

It was hard to find. There was no parking. They were not prepared for our arrival (our reservation was not ready at another location, so we were sent here). The UHAUL was dropped for us at a parking lot, blocking the entrance to the parking lot, without explanation or assistance (we couldn't move the driver's seat). Cars in the parking lot started honking, we had to drive away without paying for the public parking, and with no time to review the truck's controls. Not mobility/disability friendly. Awful experience. Go to another location if you can.MELANIEANNE D.

I was tricked to keep the truck overnight , did not really need it , I was promised same rate, guess what , the owner is coucou, he did not remember, and he asked me to complain to the toll-free number . What a very bad person . I may never go back to this location . The owner is very hardworking person , I mean he was , now he became lazy and rude .Jose C.

Return experience was not the best for me. When I came lots of trucks from Uhaul parking lot were on a move, I was not able to park mine or properly return it. But I am good with the invoice I have received and the return looks to be processed alright.Sergey B.

Disgusting experience. Did not have the vehicle I reserved, forced to take 10 foot truck and shouted at multiple times by the dealer and whoever they were on the phone with. Had to return 4 hours later to get the right truck. New truck given in disgusting condition, first everywhere, gas at 0, can very dirty and dusty. They just drove it over and gave it to me, clearly no cleaning done or sanitizingâ€¦ we are in a pandemic and the state of the truck was completely unacceptable. Uhaul should be embarrassed of the experience provided. The delay mentioned above cause me to be late to my own wedding weekend. Thank you for the additional added stress. Uhaul should make this right with a full refund, although like the rest of my experience writing this review will likely just end up being a waste of my time. Pathetic business practice.Stephane B.

Please do not go here. Terrible service, terrible equipment, and terrible experience. They overcharge you on everything. I never received my equipment (dolly and furniture pads) and they charged me over $200 even though they told me I would get reimbursed. The management does not communicate with you at all. No important information or any at all is given to you on the dispatch. You will not know the details of the contract before you sign. TAKE PICTURES OF YOUR MILEAGE. They stated I went over 50km then I actually did. They also charged me 12$/mile (1.609km) when its supposed to be 0.89$/ km. They DO NOT DO BUSINESS CLEANLY. I have read multiple reviews on this place. They will try and SCAM you if they can. DO NOT GO HERE EVER.william K.

I am upset with the mileage that was attributed to my use of the van. I was charged for 78 km of use and drove less than 20 km as measured by Google maps for the round trip. I have no proof of the mileage at either start of trip or end of trip as the odometer was set on a "distance to empty" not on a cumulative mileage for the vehicle. I would not trust U-Haul again. The dollar value of my loss is relatively small but the principle involved is big. On a mobile contract you have o be able to trust the vendor on the accuracy of the details.MALCOLM M.
