The cargo van I rented had battery issues. I didn't have problem getting out of the location, but 2 KM down parked at my condo, the van wouldn't start anymore and I lost over 2 hours waiting for roadside assistance. When I went back to the store, they couldn't do anything because U-Haul does not empower it's store locations to be able to provide credit for time lost or to accommodate for the fact that I couldn't complete my tasks for YOUR faulty equipment.Luciano T.

One of the worst experienced. I tried to do a mobile check out 2 hours before the office opened but they forgot to put the key in the box. The guy told me that, for a 20 feet truck, they never put the keys in the box overnight. With is it an option on your website? Very poor service from your customer service line on top of it. The people at this location were really good. that being said, Uhaul needs to figure out the digital side of the self check in/self check out process. You guys are obviously relying on your support people to guide folks through that process. you have a totally broken cell phone app, and even the chrome site was busted for me when it came to check out. in the morning, on the app, i wasnt able to even upload the photos required to get my keys, so i wasted a whole hour, right at the beginning of the day. terrrible. in the evening when i was returning the vehicle it wouldnt let me continue on to the next step of the process because my actual mileage was greater than my estimate, so i had to wait on the line and waste more time getting someone to manually end my trip, which actually caused me to miss the last metro train, causing me to have to walk most of the way home while exhausted after a full day of driving. The Uhaul people that help you are awesome and know what theyre doing, just so im clear about that, but the experience overall was definitely marred by the busted after hours system; fix it or dont offer it.Rory M.

The staff were amazing in giving a good customer service. I came in as walk-in without any reservations. The first representative tried to help me since there were no available trucks instead referred me to another branch but the 2nd staff (I forgot his name) did go extra mile and offered me another option with a bigger truck (which was ok too). I was charged the $25 cleaning and twice I asked via your platform why this was the case and I am still waiting for an answer. I am considering disputing the overall charge on my credit card on that basis. The van was clean but as it rained, it seems it wasn't waterproof and my bag got wet. Also, the engine warning light came on mid way. I called and was told not to worry about it. Nevertheless, you do worry about getting stuck somewhere with a full load of stuff in the truck.Sylvain G.

the representative didn't know where to find my reservation details. I gave the reservation confirmation number and my contact number but waited 20 minutes for him to find the reservation. When he directed me to the storage unit, it was dirty with debris. It wasn't clean at all. The lock of the unit wasn't working. The key is not working. If I wasn't in a rush to leave town, I would look for another storage unit. Is it really safe to leave my bvelongings there? If you're driving any large vehicle, you have little to no room to maneuver. We spent more time just trying to get in/park/allow other cars going the opposite direction through in the tiny lot than the actual time inside. Reducing the number of vehicles in the lot or expanding further back might be the best course of action because while everything inside was great including the staff, the parking situation made it a less than stellar experience.Brian M. | First Impressions

Overall I got great service, easy access, convenient location, easy payment. I had a couple of issues, though. I was supposed to get a month for free but the system didn't seem set up to properly to do that, and I had to contact U-Haul to make sure I would get my free month (they did honor it though). I also wanted to end my contract a week earlier but their system was down and I didn't go in during the week because of lockdown restrictions and my own sleeping habits. Nous avons loué le local 2042 UHaul Jean-Talon O de sept. 2009 à nov. 2020. Le service a toujours été impeccable. Au cours des années, nous soulignons la courtoisie du personnel à notre égard, l'excellent travail de Mme Line Vaillant pour répondre à nos interrogations et ses suggestions pour régler le PEU de problèmes survenus au cours de ces 11 années. Le seul commentaire moins positif (et pour lequel il y a peu ou pas de solution) est le peu d'espace de stationnement pour les locataires aux heures d'achalandage. Même dans ces situations, le personnel a fait son possible pour nous aider, quitte à déplacer des camions UH. The first time I moved in, September 27, the guy who did my contract was actually rude. He shouted at me and my husband to enter « one at time ». My husband and I were together. I had to go in alone. The guy was impatient. When I went back to pay my renewal yesterday, October 26, there were two different guys quiet and friendly who did not shout « one at a time ». The Manageress, Line Vaillant, is wonderful!! She goes out of her way to do the best she can for her clients and is always friendly, hepful, and generally makes the experience a really good one. I finally closed my locker of 25 years as I am moving to Ontario, and I went to Line and opened a small locker for the overflow while moving. Found mouse or rat poop in my storage unit. Also, I saw a dead mouse on the first floor, took a picture of it as proof. I cancelled my contract 3 days after my reservation due to the filthiness of the place. Such a waist of money. The guy at the front desk didn't seem to care at all and he told me there's nothing he could do for me. I called the manager the next day, was told I would get a cal back. I'm still waiting.
