I rented a van on December 4th. It started snowing at night, dangerous driving conditions with low visibility. Tried to use the windshield wipers and fluid on the highway, did not work. Had to drive in the dark with no visibility to the next exit to find a gas station to fill up the fluid or figure out what was not working. The fluid in the van was full, but it was frozen, big block of ice. They had not used winter fluid, in December! Was late at night so got in contact with Uhaul corporate who directed me to the St-Agathe office. On the way there the tire pressure light went on! Had to drop the van off there and rent a new van with my credit card. Amazing service by Jesse at the St-Agathe location. Drove the new van to the Jean Talon location. Explained the danger they exposed me to. The agent on Jean Talon said he could not do anything to help from a payment perspective, I now had full credit card charges for both vehicles. He left me the manager's card and said I (emphasis added) would have to call Uhaul to sort things out. No one called me. I now have charges on both the van I rented on Jean Talon and the one in St-Agathe. I got help from the franchisee Jesse in St-Agathe. No one from Jean Talon helped. In the end I was able to recover a portion of the charges, but was still out of pocket and wasted hours in St-Agathe and trying to fix the credit card charges. Awful customer service, left to fend for myself and no one acknowledged or apologized for the danger they exposed me to.MARK ANDREW H.
Had a good experience using Uhaul truck. One suggestion is to have someone/assign explain the truck operating for few minutes to the customer. The gentleman at the site explained me when I struggled initially on how to operate , after I requested .BALAJI S.

The office staff was undeniably fantastic! The truck...not even close and who ever is responsible for the upkeep of the vehicles needs some serious re-training. Check engine light, on. Service Air Bag warning light and notice, on. No knob on the driver's window handle, so couldn't open it. The INSIDE of the front window was filthy and disgusting Looked like someone opened a soda can and it sprayed all over the windshield, many months ago. WE sanitized the interior, because it was obvious by the filth on the window that no cleaning had been done, let alone any COVID precautions taken. Total shameStella M.

The customer service wasn't that great. Maybe it's because the employee was overwhelmed with all the customers who are waiting in the line. There was just one employee for all the demands and that might have made him somehow rude in the way he was explaining the instructions. I was directed to go the Jean talon location by a U-Haul agent because I was not able to unlock the car at 6 AM for reservation 23945330. The U-Haul app would not allow me to unlock. I called U-Haul customer support and was surprised to hear that was no more a car at the notre dame location and a new reservation was made in Jean talon ( which is very inconvenient for me and much higher cost). At Jean talon I asked if I could return the vehicles cle to notre damn instead of Jean talon due to my experience. I was interrupted and yelled at and told that this is impossible. I was treated with disrespect and I am extremely disappointed with U-Haul. I will not so business with U-Haul again after this experience. U-Haul had not taken any action.Feras A.
One of the workers (right arm sleeve tattoo, long beard, black hair, male) approached my girlfriend when she tried to return her 9ft truck about 30mins after hours last night (30-Oct-2021 at ~19h30). She said he tried to invite her into the Uhaul centre even though she didn't need to. She had just asked him how to navigate her Uhaul website in order to return the key. She said she had to "sprint back to her car" because he asked her "where is your boyfriend" and that the parking lot was not well lit. I regret not going with her but I did not know she would feel threatened. She felt unsafe and I am going to submit a formal complaint to Uhaul about this employee. I am appalled and disgusted by his behaviour.ALI H.

The first time I moved in, September 27, the guy who did my contract was actually rude. He shouted at me and my husband to enter « one at time ». My husband and I were together. I had to go in alone. The guy was impatient. When I went back to pay my renewal yesterday, October 26, there were two different guys quiet and friendly who did not shout « one at a time ».
