The office staff was undeniably fantastic! The truck...not even close and who ever is responsible for the upkeep of the vehicles needs some serious re-training. Check engine light, on. Service Air Bag warning light and notice, on. No knob on the driver's window handle, so couldn't open it. The INSIDE of the front window was filthy and disgusting Looked like someone opened a soda can and it sprayed all over the windshield, many months ago. WE sanitized the interior, because it was obvious by the filth on the window that no cleaning had been done, let alone any COVID precautions taken. Total shameStella M.

When I picked up the vechile the service was good but when I returned it the the person doing the retun was very rude. The truck had several maintence lights on and the insde of the cabin was very very dirty, the front windshield had not been cleaned for months. Would not recommend to any oneHabib M.

The customer service wasn't that great. Maybe it's because the employee was overwhelmed with all the customers who are waiting in the line. There was just one employee for all the demands and that might have made him somehow rude in the way he was explaining the instructions. I was directed to go the Jean talon location by a U-Haul agent because I was not able to unlock the car at 6 AM for reservation 23945330. The U-Haul app would not allow me to unlock. I called U-Haul customer support and was surprised to hear that was no more a car at the notre dame location and a new reservation was made in Jean talon ( which is very inconvenient for me and much higher cost). At Jean talon I asked if I could return the vehicles cle to notre damn instead of Jean talon due to my experience. I was interrupted and yelled at and told that this is impossible. I was treated with disrespect and I am extremely disappointed with U-Haul. I will not so business with U-Haul again after this experience. U-Haul had not taken any action.Feras A.
One of the workers (right arm sleeve tattoo, long beard, black hair, male) approached my girlfriend when she tried to return her 9ft truck about 30mins after hours last night (30-Oct-2021 at ~19h30). She said he tried to invite her into the Uhaul centre even though she didn't need to. She had just asked him how to navigate her Uhaul website in order to return the key. She said she had to "sprint back to her car" because he asked her "where is your boyfriend" and that the parking lot was not well lit. I regret not going with her but I did not know she would feel threatened. She felt unsafe and I am going to submit a formal complaint to Uhaul about this employee. I am appalled and disgusted by his behaviour.ALI H.

The staff was not courteous, not professional and did not create a pleasant experience. My final bill did not have the right breakdown and the staff agreed that it was wrong but could not correct it. After I left the premises I found out that I was charged the amount of the initial estimate rather that the final bill, which is an overcharge of 50%. Now I have to contest that and get my money back.Valentin G.

Unfrienfly staff who have me trouble with the fuel level. I brought it back exactly how it was. Took photos of the guage. They charged me for an amount of fuel that does not match the mileage at all. They charged 6.5 liter of fuel for 20km ride. Just upsetting.Thomas H.

the first time I tried it by application but I couldn't after wasting more than an hour, not even the non-electronic service did it for me, as I needed and didn't have the option to go to a place with an office so I don't have problems again, so to rent the truck I didn't have so many problems, the biggest problem was when it came time to return, as I arrived 10 minutes before closing the office and the attendant did not want to attend to me and finalize my lease, so if I wanted to return, I would use the site, in short I wasted another hour and only after a call was a very kind person I managed to resolve the return, conclusion: I will not indicate it, and I did not like the service offered at all.JEAN SERGIO D.
The service itself is quite decent, trucks are functional and well-maintained, people polite. Service overall is pretty concise. My main gripe is how the pricing structure works. It's entirely dependant on mileage and gas prices of the day, which I guess is fair, still a bit frustrating. (we expected 80$, came out to 100$ for about 30kms) My biggest complaint however, is the re-fuelling of the truck. How am I suppose to know how many liters is in 1/8th of a tank? On the way back we actually attempted to calculate what that would be . Google revealed a 10ft truck uhaul tank contains 31 gals. 31gals = 140lts 140 / 8 = 17 So 1/8th of a tank, should've been about 17liters. So we ask for 17lts and and end up with 4/8ths of a tank. Which is a whole extra eighth more than the 3/8ths we started off with. I was hoping to get credited for this, but the guy didn't offer anything. Now in his defense I should've totally asked for one, but I'm kinda shy and was really tired from a whole day's of moving. This one's on me and I should've grown a pair and just ask him, however I still feel it should not up to the customer to initiate this. It creates tension and a bad feeling in your mouth. There should be a built in policy where if the tank is clearly over-full, by say at least a full eighth, you get something like 5 bucks (our re-fuelling 2/8ths of a tank came out to 26$, where we really only should've paid for 13$ so ya'll still making money). And it should be made real clear how many liters an eighth requires. It is these two things, the refund policy and the lack of clear indication, that stops me from going to five stars. Otherwise I quite like this service, it's relatively cheap, convenient and easy to use. Sincerely, A U-Haul customer.JORDAN L.

The first time I moved in, September 27, the guy who did my contract was actually rude. He shouted at me and my husband to enter « one at time ». My husband and I were together. I had to go in alone. The guy was impatient. When I went back to pay my renewal yesterday, October 26, there were two different guys quiet and friendly who did not shout « one at a time ».
