Customers should not have to take pictures of the damage to your equipment for you (uhaul). or make sure you update the pictures on your dime not the customers. I had poor service and took forever to upload pictures of the damage. Also the owner of the location, and the person hooking up the equipment. When I arrived at 5am the keys (and dolly) were not in the truck as the app described. I tried to call several phone numbers but could. It get help. I had to wait until the site opened at 7am which made my whole day late with movers. Store went to a new key box program but the app did not day that and no one told me about it even when I called to confirm a few days prior. Had to ask attendant to switch me vehicles. The one originally assigned was filthy inside and out, smelled like heavy cigarette smoke, and the sun visor was broken and hanging down in line of sight. I drive from Yakima to Bellingham snd back in the same day. U-Haul charged me nearly $900. No way this was fair or worth the cost.Byron G.

Washington State has a masking mandate for indoor spaces to mitigate the spread of COVID19 not a single U-Haul staff person had to respect for rules nor the care for their clients to wear a mask. This occurred not only in the 1st street location but also the Nob Hill location as well. If I had other choices I would never do business with your company again. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Department of Labor and Industries over this violation.JAMES D.

The person who rented the vehicle to me did not go through the check-in process of checking blinkers etc. he also told me to return it with a half tank of gas, which is where the gas tank was at. I neglected to look at the contract until I arrived at my destination to return it and it indicated the truck should have had more gas. Lesson learned.CHERYL L.

The whole point of online check in is so your not at the rental center for an hour to pick up the equipment answering all the same questions as you did online and presenting all the same proof of identity and payment.James H.

Although I have to give major props to the sole customer service agent manning the desk when I picked up my truck, the truck itself was dirty inside. It was cleaner when I dropped it off as I wiped it down (which should be basic cleaning MO between customers, especially in times of Covid). However, the guy that handled my reservation was awesome. He was the ONLY employee to show up that morning and so was having to handle a line of waiting customers AND each one at the desk, getting their equipment, etc. AND dealing with IT issues where the computer just would not process my reservation. He didn't lose his cool, he remained helpful and courteous AND patient, and really rocked the show there by himself. This was Sunday morning, Aug 1 at 9am. You need to give him some major thanks for handling your business like a PRO.Sandra H.

Our 15 foot truck had three things that we found to be a problem. First of all, the steering was very loose. Second, the firewall between the engine and cab got extremely hot...enough to burn your legs. Lastly, the seal/insulation around the doors and windows was so bad that the noise was like driving with the windows open at highway speed. Other than that the truck performed very well, although the gas mileage was pretty poor.Lynda W.

I hate that I can't access my unit 24/7. I have a very untraditional lifestyle which means I'll need to access my unit during untraditional hours, but I guess I can't because it's only for businesses. I think that's what the guy said. Anyway, thanks for being there when the need was dire, but I'd really like to access my possessions when I need to retrieve them. Maybe living in a 24/7 city screwed up my idea of "normal business" before 2020 did, haha. On the contrary- I had to switch to a bigger unit because the 5x5 was wicked small and I would have had to stack my boxes like a crazy person, so whoever the chick was who was there that Saturday helped me switch my unit that very moment without complication (at least on my end, I assume it was just as smooth on the other end, hopefully). I just moved back from Vegas and the amount of time you waste just waiting for the other end of any deal could make or break your existence there. It broke me for sure, so the quick business I've experienced with this u-haul location has been fantastic. And I REALLY appreciate how clean it is.CARA MAE K. | First Impressions
