We have rented a van 3 times in the last month or so. Every time we go in to pick up the van we still have to put ion our visa cad and show our driver license. Sometimes we don't have a lot of time to do this and it slow us down. We love the new Ford van and they are perfect for what we need.

Truck battery died and didn’t run very well

I love how streamlined the rental process has become. However, the after hours return is extremely difficult to navigate. The internet connection is extremely slow. As a female in an after hours return having to climb in and out of the vehicle to take photos and complete the process in a not so favorable neighborhood with spotty internet connection after hours makes the return process daunting.

Had a truck I was in the process of restoring had to move from Yakima to Idaho in a hurry had it at this storage for 4 years everything was perfect when I got back .

They send pictures the night before of the car dolly I was renting to haul a car over 1,300 miles. For a 7am pickup. When I got there they hooked it to my truck had me drive over to the carport to hook the wire up to my truck. And the driver side light didn’t work. The wire that ran through the frame of the dolly was bad. Also the finder wasn’t even bolted down. So they went and got another dolly that was narrow then the one we was supposed to get which made turning tight little harder making sure it didn’t rub the car. But had no choice it was only one they had to fit the type of car. The dolly they replaced it with. Had to take the hitch off and trade with the original dolly’s hitch because of the safety lock catch was bent. Also the one I brought home with me had a hole in the side of the fender. Which I had to go with to get going. It made it all the way back. Also when I pulled off the lot they didn’t have the tie down straps tied down so they where dragging on the ground when I went to pickup the car I was going to tow. At least I made it back but it cost me about 21/2 hours of time waiting on them to get another one ready to go. Which cost me driving due to loosing 2 hours from going pacific time to central time zone. Wasn’t very trusting with the service of pulling the car cross the Rocky’s mountains so I stopped and had a service station check the bolts in the hitch to make sure the 4 bolts where tight. Sad part is I took one out there this last spring. With no issue from my local area. It was supposed to be a fast trip back home but it wasn’t. Glad it’s not my local store!! It’s a big Uhual store with a repair department and they didn’t have the service guy come out. They the guy behind the desk swap parts from one dolly to the other.

The way there pay system is needs to be fixed no one is on the same page! The 1800 number or the store. They messed up on the credit card charge. And then a week later charged my card Manually with out my ok!

Counter staff are not kept up to date on access hours and procedures around the storage units. I was told one thing by two employees and brought a loading crew based on that information, then found that the space could not be accessed according to the instructions I was given. The next morning a different employee told me the other two were wrong about access hours until I pointed it out on the website, and only after some research and trial/error we determined that there is a different access procedure for certain extended hours. The person who rented the space to us a few weeks ago was evidently not aware of this off-hours procedure either.

Was supposed to pick up at Yakima Valley storage. Got there and they said they didn't do trailers. I had to call the 800# and they switch me to area scheduler who found it at another location a couple miles away. That shouldn't happen.

The appliance Dolly they gave me to use was useless. I always rent these so I can roll up the steps. The ones they gave me the belts on the wheels attached to the back of the dolly where broken off so you couldn't roll up the steps. Also when I arrived for my appointed time of pickup they had one guy working the inside desk so it threw me and hour behind having to wait for him to finish with the current customer before he could even start on mind, so the moving help could not help unload the same day but I was lucky they rescheduled for the next day but I really wanted to get unloaded the same day but due to the fact u wax delayed my whole schedule and day got screwed up.

I had a great experience. Camron at the yakima office on 1st. Street was very helpful, and courteous the enxt time i use uhaul i hope to see him again. Camron answered all my questions and remained calm in my stressful situation. I left his store at about 430 after he checked all the equipment, and this morning greeted me with a smile saying "how did your trip go?was the trailer easy?" If you ever need sirvice dont hesatate to go to the 1st st. UHAUL , thanks guys

The size of the Truck was perfect at 10ft. I would like to see at least an update to the adjustment of the mirrors on the truck. You need some kind of automatic adjustment options. very hard to have to manually adjust on your own.

Christa Raleigh was very very rude and this was not the first time she has been rude to me or my family members I figured the 1st time was like ok maybe she’s having a bad day but this is the 3rd time. I did place a call to u haul and file a complaint. If this does not get taken care of I will never use u haul again! In the past I have used other stores and had great experiences but this location never have I ever had such horrible customer service and attitude and disappointment and disrespect!!

Overall is a great experience. Krista, hopefully I got her name and spell correctly was very helpful and professional. Her computer internet shut down plus she had long lines. She still very helpful and professional in everything she did. She went above and beyond to help me with my truck and my storage. The only down fall is, she called probably her supervisor or someone maybe above her to sent people to help her with her lines and the response was” I will think about it.” Ask me how I know? Because she said,” ok you think about it.” And at least extra customer service specialist to help Krista when it’s busy.

The service counter at this location is always slow, but it doesn’t seem to be the employees fault. The technology or WiFi seems to slow transactions and inventory checks down. Equipment and employees are great though!

I was supposed to pick up my truck at a different location. It wasn't until I got to where I thought I was picking up, did I find out I had to backtrack to this location. There was no call the day prior to confirm anything, as I was expecting. A few moments after I left with the truck, apparently I received an email with a link to verify any damage. I was not told to expect that. By the time I was back on the grid to check email, the link was expired. The drivers seat did not go back as far as it seemed it should have. That made for an uncomfortable drive. I could not adjust the drivers side mirror. I made it work, but a slight adjustment would have made for a more comfortable drive.
