I literally loaded a uhaul truck in phoenix arizona and moved my whole life to seaside. The whole crew at this location are real people. They did so much to make my move easy and comfortable. I would highly recommend this location. Thanks guys for making that what should have been a freak out day so calm and welcoming. I love your dog too. So cute.

I felt secure in leaving my belongings with this storage unit. Only one suggestion....leave a rolling cart on the second story level, even if a cheaper model equipped with a theft device. I had a unit that was at the very back of storage floor. At my age, and usually alone when at storage, it is difficult to move things all that way. Or to pull one of those carts "up to" the second floor area. Staff were cheerfully wonderful. I also had rental vehicles in my time from here - all those experiences were good too. Very helpful staff, advised me of more cost effective techniques, to save me money - at a time of moving from one state to another was a GREAT help. Thank you to the staff there in Gearhart.

The unit was dirty upon rental and the building was not kept very clean. Access to the second floor unit was a little difficult. The staff was friendly and helpful.

While the staff was exceptional,,getting intothe unit was always difficult. I often had to go to the office because the sliding door wouldn't open. I'm short and to open the door I always had to wave my arms again and again to get it to open. It was difficult for me to have to load things on the big cart then manouver over it threw the door and unload it again. I appreciate the security, but it was difficult for me.

Everything fine. I received a call on the second day of my rental to find out when I would be returning the truck. There was someone who needed the truck and they were trying to accommodate them. I took the truck back a day early. Is there ever a chance I could get a refund for the fourth day?

Bar none, this one of the best storage places that I have ever used. I rented a space for 11 months and never had a problem with access, lighting, safety, or weather related problems. I seen no need to go anywhere else if I need a storage unit again. Gracias.

I had good service with this rental this time. But a couple of weeks ago I encountered issues with a rental "reserve", the evening before my rental received a call ( with no time to really make use of business hours) to get a rental before my leaving time at 4am the next morning, so had to cancel.... all this after requesting time off work, cost me lost work hours, then had to request time off later- in hopes that a vehicle would be "available". This happen to a friend more recently too. She was told that even though she put in the "RESERVE" it was really only a "request" and that's just how it is. Makes me wonder...... in the dictionary these two words mean completely different meanings. And the reps do not give you the true facts up front. Or make "promises" they will not keep. Lorrie Truckee, of Seaside, OR. promised me she would go the 12 - 22 miles to get the trailer herself and have it on her lot for my rental. Yet the day all fell apart she did not do so. When I said cancel my request then, the worker at her store told me he would and never did. I happen to have called 2 other rental places(Astoria where the phone message told me a unit was avail for me-which WAS NOT available when I called there, then the Gearhart store, and they did not have any at the time needed). So in short, I have had more poor service from UHaul than good. Had more negative experiences in past, but those are part of poor service spoken for in the previous sentence. If I did recommend to a friend of "any" location it is with all my past experiences and knowledge of incidences. A question though....Does UHaul have drivers that move vehicles around among rental stores to accommodate stores to have better options for their customers? I once checked into hiring on with the company, I thought one of the offered positions was just such a person. I hope this helps. I took the time to write this so that you might better address issues people are facing and address that.

The only negative was that I had reserved an outside unit a couple weeks before. I wanted an inside unit, but the outside was the only thing that was available at the time. When I went in - the outside unit wasn't available - a computer thing???? But they took care of me with 2 inside 5x10 units for the same price as a 10x10. So that works out great for me. Thus the excellent rating even tho there was a screw up.

I'm sure the storage units are fine and have no issues. The parking space I rented had no security and had people living in a motorhome next to it. It was almost impossible to back the boat into with other cars parked in the road way, in fact it almost impossible to pull it out when I came to get it. Also too many random people milling around with no fence or security. Just not a good fit for parking a boat.

The customer service I received here is just wonderful. It reminds me of the service one would receive back in the 50s and 60s when you would drive into a gas station and three guys would come out one would put air in your tires one would put gas in your car and one would check the engine. I was waiting to talk the the woman at the front desk and she was on a personal call talking over her speaker phone and never even recognized I was there. She was completely oblivious to me standing there. After waiting for over 10 minutes I walked out and used the online app.

Was told to drop keys in for after hours return. Did so. Then found out that the checkout system required photos of the odometer and that the vehicle was to be parked in a different place. With no key, could not do either. As a result had to guess on mileage (over paid by about $15 or $20). Plus a $20 charge for their staff to confirm, and $1 estimated license recovery fee and $1 estimated environmental fee are ridiculous, when added on top of $.79 cents a mile plus gas.

The parking space is small and hard to access. The turn on the back of the north side of the building is too tight to be able to access from that side which is how one needs to approach to easily back in to the space. Perhaps moving the tires being stored there would create more room. The turn on the south side of the building is tight but doable. Unfortunately, it puts you heading in the wrong direction to back in. The middle was clogged with trucks and not accessible. Trying to back in by going down the middle and backing around the corner would not work due to two cars parked in the way. I ended up having to use the dolly with help from another customer.

Last two rentals no one was called to confirm as the website says thet will. When you call them, goes to a national center THAT IS A TIME WASTER AND NO HELP.

When I rented the truck it was at a 1/4 tank and the representitive explained that i only needed to return it at that level. HOWEVER he never mentioned that if i returned it with more gas that I would need a reciept to be reimbursed for the over $80 dollars in gas I just gave your company. When I got to my drop off location they said there was nothing they could do. Horrible customer service. Will go with another company next time. I am moving a large 2,400 sq/ft house between states in a few months and will go with someone else who is not looking to make money off their customers.

The owner and staff go above and beyond to help. They are awesome. They helped me as much as they could. Very satisfied with the onsite staff and owner. Highly recommend only working ONSITE not online. I want to be clear. The ONSITE people are wonderful. The OFFSITE manager should not be giving out information. I signed up online, wanted a floor level. Offsite manager told me twice after making her look that there were 2 avaiable in 2 different buildings on the floor level. Verbally verified. When I came, only the second floor was available. This is not acceptable. No elevator. My husband has had 13 knee surgeries and 1 replacement the reason I verbally verified there was a floor level. The offsite manager should not be making calls when she doesnt know the inventory. As a manager she should have notified me that there might be an issue. I would have gone there personally to make sure I had a bottom floor unit. Making phone calls to verify should be double checked with onsite availability. Very unprofessional. Gracias.
