Train your people. One clerk would watch the clerk checking me out and would allow them to make mistakes. My credit card was entered three times due to mistakes made. I had entered everything online and I was there over a hour trying to check and I was the only person in the store. I asked if there was a closer Uhaul to drop of van at without loosing discounts and that was open when I dropped it off. No. Location for drop off changed to closer however it was closed and a drop box situation. I still do not know if I retained my discount. Probably not.MARK R.

They overcharged me. They told me it was gonna be around 135 (45x3) (30.00+the 14$ insurance 3 times for 3 days) And they went and took 339.72 out of my account. Plus another 100$ Probably because I didn't fill the gas all the way up, even though my bank clearly shows I put 65$ into it. Maybe the gas machine ran out but I'm in Oregon so I can't pump my own gas and didn't know that. That part is fine. Gas fee. Not their fault the gas man messed up. I'll pay that 100$. But no. It's not 399 dollars and I will be contacting people until I can get this fixed because I'm currently homeless and can NOT afford that and that was not what I signed up for. Id like someone to call and explain to me what happened because this is not connecting and there's no way to call the location because their phone number just goes to corporate and they close before I get off work. So if they could call me and refund me the money I need to find housing, that would be amazing. I can't be doing this right now.Zephyr B.

Management was horrible at this place. Bert was not helpful and very disrespectful. I was over charged for gas after they gave us the wrong size truck. We needed roadside service to help us because we misplaced the key, instead they took the whole truck to a different location. We still had stuff in it. We didn't get these items back. He wanted to charge us for having the tow truck take the uhaul to the wrong ovation. They didn't even tell us they were taking the truck. We woke up and it was gone! Horrible service. Horrible experience. Horrible Bert. I can't believe he is a manager. He is unqualified and unprofessional. Never ever using this service place again. When I returned the truck, the sign said pull up and wait in the truck for someone to do a after rental inspection. I sat there for several minutes before someone finally came out but he didn't acknowledge that we were there and just sat down and ignored us. I had to get out and ask him. The sign should not say stay in your vehicle if the renter needs to get out for service. I was just trying to respect the sign's directions. Otherwise it was a fantastic experience and the counter guy, Burt, was really personable.Sheri C.

Honestly I had reserved 10 foot van and after getting into the store I was there for an additional 35 minutes. I assumed reserving the vehicle would skip the wait time, but I guess they have slow internet or something.... The 10 foot van itself had issues. The spring assisted door wouldn't come down to close all the way and the cables on the pulley system were very tangled, I couldn't close the back more than 1/2 way down. Very frustrating. When it was time for drop off, I had to call another number because the spot I wanted to drop off at(which was convenient and close to my house) was not part of the original 4 listings from the pickup location during the reservation process. The customer service was great. The person who helped me had a great attitude! They seemed very familiar with knowing that the computer system is garbage, and after quite a delay, decided to finish the reservation through her personal phone. My suggestion is get fast internet and maintain your rental vehicles more diligently. Moving already sucks, try to make it easier for people.Christian Z.

Provide the user with an opportunity to RATE the RESERVATION SYSTEM, including the "MOVING HELP" subset, as well as the recommended help staff. Reservations are incredible convoluted, and run seriously counter to information provided by individual U-Haul dealer/outlets. I began my search for a rental vehicle by asking at the office of the Storage facility where I had rented a storage unit. I wanted a 26' truck and a 12' trailer. They had numerous trucks available, but none of 26 foot. They recommended I call a specific U-Haul outlet about two miles away. When I called the "local" number, instead of being answered at that Dealer, the call was taken at some corporate central office. They offered me a truck 35 miles South in Arlington, and a trailer 50 miles West in Oak Harbor. Only when I protested the outrageous extra driving this would require, did the "dispatcher' look a bit harder and find the vehicles I wanted within a 12 mile radius. Subsequently, every attempt to access, and update the "reservation" either proved impossible, because the web site offers ZERO capability to enter the Reservation number U-Haul has emailed a user, or if the reservation did appear, there was ZERO capability to update any of the desired details . . . like inquire about picking up a vehicle 12 to 15 hours earlier. . . . THEN, there were the "Moving Help" issues. If I'm picking up a truck in Burlington, WA at 8:30 in the morning, I DO NOT want the "HELP" to leave Kenmore, WA at 10:00, and show up in Burlington at 11:00. But info on scheduling and ETA's is not included before U-Haul nicks the user's credit card for the "HELP". And the "help" were described as "local businesses". . . . Kenmore is NOT local to Burlington.Lynn F.

I reserved a storage unit and a truck. Online it stated that it was 1 month free rent, with a free lock. Apparently my unit didn't qualify for a free month bc it was on the ground floor, even though online it stated it qualified and when I called prior to arriving was reassured that it qualified for a free month of rent. When I came in to complete my reservation he stated that there were no ground floor units available, even though that is what I reserved online. The form to be completed for storage I had to fill out 3 separate times because they wouldn't accept the secondary contact person as someone in the same house, my secondary phone # couldn't be my work number because it had an extension. I then came to get into my unit, and there was a green zip tie on my door, which due to having a disability (MS) I could not get it off without having a pair of scissors. I asked one of the workers if he had something to remove it and he was incredibly rude, and said "maybe try using your hands, it pulls right off" mind you we were in the other side of the building from where my unit was when I located him, he then made me walk all the way down there to watch him pull it off. Great for you, but I physically cannot pull it off and make certain movements with my hands due to my MS. This is an obstacle I face daily and can be incredibly frustrating when your hands don't work the same way as someone else, but this just rubbed that in my face of a day where I was already having a challenging time. He grabbed the lock in the package handed it to me and yet again I'm faced with the predicament of having to open a package and the inability to do so because of my disability, I don't have the strength to be able to do many things with my hands. So he took the lock opened it and then handed it back very abrasively. I said thank you I appreciate your help, I didn't get a response, so I said thank you a little louder in case he didn't hear me, and he just kept his back turned and kept walking shaking his head. When I first got to the storage, I had an issue with the keypad not recognizing my code and he said "it's works just fine, if you use the right code box." This man was the rudest individual, and could have simply handled this situation by just taking the tag off for me (saying oh sure I can grab it for you, no problem) instead of making me walk and make two extra trips empty handed with my 4 year old son I had with me, and that would have been that. He was extremely rude, inconsiderate, Condescending, and Far from efficient in his attempts to help and made it very well known he was annoyed and didn't want to assist. Mark the manager and or supervisor gave my password / code to a person who paid for a unit but was not currently on any contract within the facility. Allowing that person access to the facility, this person then broke into my storage unit and took my safe containing jewlery,, my tools and anything else valuing approximately $5000 o4 more. I later was able to negotiate most of it back since I know this person and this person felt that I owed them personally. When I made the complaint and asked Mark about this he played dumb to the situation and lied to me about it. It wasn't until this same person and I were at this storage facility at the same time, were they able to point Mark out as the person who gave them the password/code. Mark then went on to over exaggerate small situations that I had possibly been wrong in, yet other uhaul customers were doing the same thing. He began speaking to me rudely, threatening to kick me out and ultimately only allowing me access during business hrs, locking my storage units with uhaul locks. This posed a problem for me because I work nights at times and daylight hours were hard for me to work around those restrictions. When my account was restricted I continued to be charged a $10 24hr access fee for months. When I was charged incorrectly for various reasons throughout my stay, he would not correct the error and locked my account to where only him and John, his manager, had access to making any changes or adjustments on my accountI. He took my photo on a cell phone without my permission, assuming I was doing something wrong. And I was NOT! I was infact working very hard to clean up a mess during the moving process where shampoo got all over a box and its entire contents.I feel like it is a complete violation of uhauls policy, if not against the law for a manager or supervisor to give out the code to someone who is not authorized on any account, nor are they an account holder bound by a contract with U-Haul. I was a little confused about having to arm and disarm the security on my unit. I did not realize I had to enter a code until I tried to access my unit a few days after check-in and an alarm went off. That was the only small issue I've had, and it was clarified when I asked about it at the front. I had literally less than 24 hours to get down to OR get my daughter off campus at George Fox University. This location was not only local but very friendly an easy to work with once Covid19 shut everything down.
