It was a good overall in general, but there was a car parked in front of my container which made access difficult and really lowered my overall rating of the service. The manager made an announcement for the car owner to come move the car but they never did.Nathan J.

Hello. The initial U-Box arrival time was stated to me between 2:00pm and 4:00pm. Got a text that the U-Box driver was on their way, that was approximately 10:30 am, the U-Box arrived at 12:30. This service itself was outstanding. The Santa Clara driver which delivered the two containers and retrieved them (same driver) was fantastic. (The service in College Station was great too. But I assume we are talking about Santa Clara in this survey). I had two identical heavy duty locks: ond hasp on one container would not close properly so one lock did not fit. I had to use a different less secure lock. Also, I was told the containers could be delivered to my next residence anywhere in the USA. Not true! They got to College Station Texas ok. But UHaul would not deliver them to my new home in Anderson TX. It would have cost me $1000 to have another service do it for the last 22 miles. I would not have used UHaul if I had known.Jeffrey D.

Everyone was extremely helpful and efficient. There was plenty of space at this location to speed-shop for supplies and get in and out quickly. Great location. We rented two U-Boxes for an across-country move, and a truck to fill them up with. Jesse S. is an incredible worker and I hope management at the UHaul in Laurelwood appreciate him. From beginning to end, Jesse was in depth with explaining everything from equipment to mileage/gas usage. We got the joy of dealing with an incredibly nice worker to counteract the horrid dread of moving furniture and it was a great relief to have someone chill help us out rather than leave us in the dust. He was also responsible in showing us to our storage unit and how everything worked from the card reader to afterhours usage. The 2 people I spoke to were both very knowledgeable and personable. I had to get a U-Haul in a bit of a rush and move across the state the next day and I tried 3 different locations prior to reaching this one and had no luck online. This one was the most helpful and easiest to deal with. It was mostly luck considering someone with a reserved one way truck happened to cancel as I was desperately trying to find one, but the guys who helped me had great customer service skills it made the whole experience less stressful than it had been up until that point.Mike Z.

The security entry system is excellent. It's convenient to access and easy to use. The cleaning attendent can sometimes become intrusive as she makes using the restroom in the storage area feel uncomfortable. I feel she because she is a very neat and tidy person, she doesn't like cleaning the restroom for tenants too much. It's understandable. Everything else is excellent!!! I stopped by Friday 21st to reserved a car trailer, for the week after. On the 28th, went to pick it up. The person I was talking to his name was Alex, but there was 4-6 people I talked trough out the process. Since day one until returning the trailer. Everyone was very helpful & willing to help. The map given was NOT CLEAR. I DROVE LOOKING FOR #S CLOSE TO MY UNIT. Didn't find any. Had a friend go back into office and she found out we could walk to our unit. The rental site said I would have a ground floor unit. I was disgusted but didn't have time to find another unit since my movers were with me. I took about 20 trips up & down the elevator & had to walk down a hall to my unit. I am disabled and walk with a walker. Nothing. No wait to check in. I was able to reserve a truck a few days in advance- check in was a breeze! Returned the truck , but only went 26 miles so I didn't put gas in figured it would be a couple gallons. 26 miles = over 3 gallons- because less than 1/4 tank I had to pay a $30 surcharge for not putting gas in to replace what I used! My laziness cost me 30$ for 18$ in case. Don't forget to to put gas in before you return the truck! Lesson learned.cathy B.

Internal processes in the company are a complete mess. Support staff gives responses irrelevant to the case because they don't see all the necessary details when they open your order. It takes 15 minutes every time to explain them that they have to open your order, look at it and only after that they can respond to your inquiry. The same information (like delivery date) is stored in two or three different places and not all of them get updated properly, so a text notification shows you one date, website shows another date and neither of them is correct (but the local branch has its own records and in their records the date is correct). Everything is confusing and requires constant calls to customer support. No one looked at the U-Box placement instructions I made on the order page, I had to explain it again in-person both times. Admittedly, in spite of all these problems the delivery was made on time. I just had to call customer support 4 times, they tried to double-charge me once, they almost missed the pickup date (even though on at least two separate occasions I clearly stated that the box needs to be picked up the next day after the drop off) and for half an hour I wasn't sure if the U-Box was already picked up or it was stolen.Daniil S.

I was locked out of my unit for no lock. Your store doesn't have any for sale. I was accosted by an employee and all but berated for not accessing the facility correctly. Then when I returned, there was a lock on my unit. So petty. I was treated like a convict, not a customer. I was made to wait by an elderly retail worker as he left the front desk to go outside. His manager noticed him missing and polightly reprimanded him immediately.. He was the same clerk that served me last week and was not very friendly to me then as well. He took a picture of my driver's license which I felt afraid that he may use it for other none U-Haul business outside of his work hours. During the process of signing me in to get me my Access card. he asked if I knew my storage container number. When I said no, he quickly mocked me for not knowing the number of the storage room. When I showed him my Access number in the email I received after making the online purchase I said I don't see it in the transmittal but did see it in the original online order and I didn't remember it. The store manager quickly intervined to avoid further hostility between myself and the clerk and said that the number of the unit is probably further down the email message. She was very nice to me and I appreciated her presence their to prevent the clerk from continuing his bad behavior. I think it was racial bais for the reason of his disrespectful interaction with me. The only issue or concern was the mover package. I had to cancel my movers twice. The 1st time was due to the fact the movers we out of business, and the 2nd wanted to add extra fees that totaled over $400. My suggestion would to vet Mover's schedule and prices and be held accountable before they're advertised on your site/program. The alarm system is a joke. No one checks when you accidentally set it off. The bathroom is also not well maintained. I went to the office twice and called at least they many times to correct my address and eventually gave up. Very pleased with services at this location. Clean, well lit, convenient. Staff are helpful and friendly enough. Appreciate the honest pricing, unlike some competitors. Would be nice if disposal was actually available sometime for small amounts of trash... On multiple occasions, disposal was not available at any price for even a single trash bag. The siren in the storage area goes off multiple times per visit, is painful and appears useless as there seems never to be any response, and if anything it hides the sounds of any activities that it would supposedly protect from. The storage facility suited my needs well. My only complaint is that I was not informed about the need to use stairs to access the unit I was given. I was under the impression that all the storage units were either ground floor or could be accessed with an elevator. The half floors that are only accessible via stairs were inconvenient to access when carrying heavy items. Had some billing issues at first, but the staff cleared them up. The one very frustrating-and frankly unacceptable-shortcoming is UHaul's inability to manage addresses and address changes. Turns out there was a problem with my autopay and U-Haul was sending mail to an old address. This despite my updating my address in the U-Haul app and by calling customer service. This is the 21st century-the Information age-ya'll can afford computer data bases that talk to each other.
