Provide more check-in staff so more than one customer can be helped at once. Tasha was the only staff member present and she was a rockstar. She handled everyone's needs with grace and urgency, but most importantly, with the friendly and pleasant demeanor that we all wish was more common in customer service. ANY company would be thrilled to have Tasha as part of their team because of the way she treats people and cares for each customer as if their needs were her own. I am hopeful that UHAUL appreciates and recognizes her for being so outstanding in her role, and would highly recommend a bonus to incentivize this type of attitude in the workplace. When I returned the trailer I was told I will be charged $50 cleaning fee for some dirt that were on the floor. I tried to wipe them off and asked if I can borrow a broom so I can brush the dirt off (it was NOT all messy and dirty... just some dirt here and there). I was told I can not borrow anything and have to bring to a cleaning place to get it cleaned. I went to a grocery store and bought a brush to brush those off the floor. While I (now) understand that it needs to be cleaned I didn't think the manger would give me that much grief and wasted my time running around to buy a brush and it wasn't like all dirts everywhere (I wish I had taken a picture). I'm not trying to take advantage of the situation nor intentionally leaving dirts behind. The manager also mentioned he'll charge me $25... then $50... it seemed he wanted to make my rental experience not a pleasant one. I'm not sure if I'll go back to this location again. It has lots of equipment but I don't need this kind of customer service! This location also has only one person running cashier, checking in/out equipment... wait time was long > 30mins.Cuong N.
I've been to this location a few times and was a bit underwhelmed by the customer service. Last night was completely different! Terrible customer service. I brought the truck back, gased up how I received it and the Black Lady was extremely rude, unprofessional and refused to assist me checking out. She told me she gets off at 7pm, had to lock up the store and didn't get paid afterwards. She also refused to allow the blonde hair guy to assist me and made me pay him $10 to help the online check out process. I am a 73 yr old African American Veteran and I was shocked. She told me if I didn't give him the $10 that $20 would be charged to my card.ROBERT H.

Before I saw the vehicle, I was asked to sign a document that stated the car had a 1/4 tank of gas and that I agreed to fill the gas tank up to 1/4 tank when I returned it. If I did not fill it up to that amount, I would be charged $30 dollars. When I got in the car, it only had 1/8 tank of gas. I told an employee and they told me to please return it with 1/4 tank of gas. They said I would be reimbursed upon return. When I returned, a different employee said that they would not reimburse me. The employee said that I should have just filled the gas up to 1/8 tank instead of a 1/4 tank. I tried to explain that I was instructed to do this by an employee and I also showed my paper that stated there would be a $30 fee for not filling the tank to 1/4 tank. These explanations did not help and I was not reimbursed.LYDIA M.

The person that check the truck out SHE WAS AWESOME. WHEN I GOT TO WHERE I WAS MOVING NO GAS IN TRUCK. I WAS TOLD THE BILL WOULD BE AROUND 80 TO 90 DOLLARS I HAD TRUCK 2 HOURS AND WAS CHARGE 250 DOLLARS I GOT METASTATIC BREAST CANCER AND LUNG CANCER STAGE #4 AND WAS STRESS OUT. Your customer service person was clearly a highly trained and motivated professional and should be promoted to training Manager. Your maintenance person should be fired. My running lights did not work. I received roadside assistance and they had to rewire significant sections due to broken wires repaired with duct tape and hanging near the tires well under the fenders. It took 6 hours to repair and resulted in an unexpected and unnecessary hotel stay.JEFFREY B.

Richard used a different employee's (La Tasha's) sign on and did not double check the charges against my original contract. He clicked through all of his return screens without looking. He was nice, but this was unprofessional. La Tasha had a demeanor that said "ugh, what do YOU want?" both times I approached the rental counter, even though I was just coming to clarify my rental charges. I made a reservation and then when I show up, no truck in the size I reserved. After some back and forth, the personnel found keys to a truck that I got the impression was decommissioned or down for maintenance or something. I took off out of the location to my storage unit. As I went to load my first batch, I realized I was not given the key to the lock on the back (or they didn't unlock it for me). I had to borrow a friend's car and go all of the way back to this location to get a key. I wasted about an hour of my time with this. Uhaul Corporate, not the individual stores, needs to stop pestering it's customers with long, drawn out exit surveys. It makes a good experience less enjoyable and a bad experience even worse. Parking lot was jam packed, returned a car hauler and had to wait 10 mins to be helped. Employee (younger guy) sitting in the back didn't budge till the employee at the counter told him to help out. The young man needs training in customer service. We rented a van online at the Issaquah location because we live there so we could return it easily after we were done. I appreciate some strides toward self-check-in/out. It's conceivably faster and less expensive so win/win. I found the application still needing work. I did a bunch of steps before arriving but there are meaningful steps once you arrive. It was frustrating that I needed my passport (?) or verification through another person. Why couldn't I do all this validation before arriving? I had to call several contacts to find someone. The woman at the counter couldn't help me because I started the check in. After completing, I still had to wait to get the key. It ended up taking 25 minutes and more frustrating than just waiting in a long line. I'm not sure if my case with a validation step was an exception but that case should be covered more smoothly. I found checkout much better. Took a few pictures and left the car. The truck had the word "Fuck" spray painted on the side. There were other words that had been partially erased, so we're illegible to me, somehow this word remained clearly legible l. I was concerned this would make us a target for further vandalization, and didn't want to hold responsibility for such damage should it occur. I also felt awkward driving such a vehicle around. When I made a complaint and asked about alternatives, the manager responded forcefully - saying that this is the only option, and demanded that I give the keys back and get out. His tone was angry, and when I pressed one more time, he responded with stronger anger. He wasn't willing to work with us in anyway on this matter. Certainly he could infer our situation was one where we needed a truck, so he could presume we wouldn't want to give the keys back, otherwise we wouldn't be able to move that day. I felt confused why he used his power in this situation to get what he wanted, which seemed to be for us to leave so he could tend the busy store, instead of at least understanding why we weren't comfortable using this truck. The store was busy, and one employee had arrived late, I knew because the manager publicly announced it. Somehow his irritation of that day was easily directed at us. I thought we could at least check other stores in to see if another truck was available, or perhaps this store could have another size truck available. Or even a simple acknowledgement and apology for the situation could have sufficed if there were truly no other options. Unfortunately, our conversation couldn't go beyond a simple complaint followed by a demand to take it or leave it. I also left feeling uncertain if he would seek further retribution when we returned the truck. The employee who initially checked us in served us with kindness and grace and I appreciate her service.
