michael P.When the 2 boxes returned to Pleasanton, I told them only 1 was used and they said they will fix the billing. They did NOT. I had to call. And then, after the refund adjustment (which by the way I had to do 3 claims to even get), the full refund was not given. I paid (with the refund calculated in) $1277.17. Final bill is 1264.86. I told this to the lady in Pleasanton but she kep insisting I am wrong. I said I have a final bill from U-Haul showing the $1264.86 and I can prove all the pmts. made.. But .. NO .. I am wrong. Honestly, I will hire your competitors from now on, now that I know how difficult it is to get an overpayment back. This is wrong, I am owed $12.31, which is the difference above. IT may not be much to Uhaul but that is 1 meal for my family.

james M.Having to call 24 hours prior to getting access was a terrible experience. As a customer, I thought it really sucked that your website stated I had 2.5 days to fill my Ubox, but it turned out I had 1.5 days and was told on day 1. I will never use the Ubox service again.

However, when I arrived at the facility at 9:30 pm my access code did not work (the facility closes at 10 pm and the 24h access, while still advertised, is not available!). Since I had my moving truck arriving within 20 minutes I tried to contact the site manager, but only reached a voice mail. I left a message, but to this day never received a call back! I called customer service, but noone could help me with the access. So my movers had to spend the night and I could only get access the next day. I received an access card, my access code still does not work! VERY POOR (zero stars)!

Asking her the most basic questions seems to inconvenience her greatly and instead of checking me out, she told me to 'come back later' before I could even finish asking my questions. I did and found out that after charging me for another month, she had checked me out of my 3 units (even though I was moving out on the last day of my contract). I guess she hoped I wouldn't notice the charge, as I had been on auto-pay. This was not the only instance but was the most recent. As long as Cierra is in charge, I would never come back.

Having the store was helpful and the staff were friendly and helpful. I especially liked the space for free space making it easy to get rid of stuff and crap stuff. There are carts available which make it easier to transport things back and forth. The alarm is a little loud and the "community drop off" should be monitored more closely since people drop off paint, "junk", and are able to access the area without being a customer.

They even offered a to settle for 1/2 price witch I thought was great except I'd never be able to rent a storage from u-haul anywhere ever again. Ouch can't have that down the road cuz ya never know. So I ponied up the full monte & we were flush w/o being blackballed. It's a storage locker. Your throwing good money storing your crap. Now I'm sharing one. There's things you just don't want hanging round the house ya know......

I went to reserve a storage and it not a pleasant experience. I reserved the contract on-line for $99.95, when I went to the office to sign the contract, they could not retrieve it for a long time, I had to retrieve it on my phone and show it to the staff. When they retrieve the contract they said it is $104.95. Just a bad experience overall. I will not recommend uhaul to anyone for any service.

The guy who helped me (I can't remember his name but if U Haul cares about reviews I can get it) is a great asset to U Haul and provides outstanding customer service. I've worked in retail before and understand how angry customers can get when they get screwed over but he genuinely felt bad and had helped me throughout the whole process. He deserves a raise and/or a promotion. Seriously. The only issue I had with this facility is that I was assigned a storage unit and after moving everything in realized there was no sliding lock on the door to attach to my lock. I showed him the situation and could tell he really felt bad about the bad news he had to share with me. Luckily he found me another unit that was close by and although it was frustrating to have to move everything by myself after my roommates left I was happy he found me one close to my storage unit. **For Uhaul** If my review affects this guy's job in a negative way then you are not reading my review. He did an amazing job handling the situation and doesn't deserve any negative feedback towards him. It was out of his control as it would be impossible to monitor hundreds of storage units by himself. It should have been in the system that there wasn't a way to attach a lock. I truly hope the company doesn't take a lazy approach to reviews and doesn't actually read what your customers are saying.

It was frustrating calling everyday to speak to someone at the location because the call center couldn't close it. Finally I had to ask my dad to go to the location to speak to someone to Close it out as I didn't want to get billed. What a nightmare a whole week calling everyday. Funny this is the girl at the counter got several messages from me and never called me back.
