Uhaul prices are ridiculous now a days. It should not cost $250 to rent a truck for 5 hours. Especially when it's advertised as $30… get people in and then charge them an extra $220 is just asinine!

Fueling the truck was a pain being you don't require people to fill the tank.

The location had ample space for us to park the truck and plenty of extra parking for the car we were driving. The location was closed, so we did an after-hours drop-off. Unfortunately, as has happened before, the return process in the U-Haul app wouldn't cooperate and we were forced to just drop the keys and leave the truck. But the truck was checked in by the staff with no issues the following morning. I've heard complaints from others about the mobile check-in process not working, so I wish that could be fixed. Thankfully, we haven't had any problems when just leaving the truck and dropping the keys.

I reserved a cargo van and was given a 100% guarantee on my reservation. However when I showed up there was no van available for me. I was told on my original reservation that I would be given a compensation for anything not working and was given lip about it when I inquired.

I've used U-Haul Storage of Olympia on numerous occasions, and it is always fast and easy. I used the 24/7 return feature for the first time after my latest rental and returned my rental at roughly 11: 00 PM. it was far easier than I expected. The process worked flawlessly, and I was able to sleep in the morning my rental was due. That was wonderful.

Staff at store was abrasive, rude and argumentative on even basic, casual conversation not related to the uhaul. She also misgendered me despite seeing my drivers license and gender markers next to my name. The blonde staff member in question with a small hair bun at the top of her head was rude to other staff and attempted to belittle them infront of me and 3 other customers "he's not hurrying up, guess I better just do it myself then" in a short condescending tone, after asking the other staff member to check the *entire* fleet of trucks in the pouring rain for missing car parts after a catalytic converters was stolen. This interaction speaks volumes to me as the kind of people Uhaul employs and allows to bully other staff during business hours. There is a mass resignation of employees because of people like her, and I can only assume given her arrogance and demeanor that she is a store manager. Is this store location having a hard time retaining staff? She is your reason why.

When I returned the truck, the person who helped me was a bit rude and seemed a bit lazy. She asked if I wanted a receipt or an email receipt to which I responded a receipt. After checking the mileage on the truck she asked me again if I wanted a receipt or an email receipt Again I said a receipt. She asked again a 3rd time, only this time she only offered an email receipt. So, thinking I wasn't going to get a paper receipt I told her an email would be fine. She asked me if I got the email which I had. It seemed she resistance to giving me a paper receipt. The truck was great and the when I picked up the truck was great.

Tell people upfront that the boxes can be loaded on a U-Haul trailer for them and hauled by you to your new location!!!!!!! No one ever said anything about that to us!!

You need to provide more clerks for the actual check out and check in. The staff were competent and very informative etc, but the lines were long--and the digital options were not ok. Next, I resent any requirements for your customers to provide cell phone information and to use the cellphones in this transaction. I am another hater of telemarketing--and I run the risk you will sell my phone number to other companies. I don't like having to take on another such risk. ALSO For lots of us trying to keep control over our living expenses, cell phones are too expensive! There will be a day in my retirement when I drop the costs. Finally, I also insist you change your practices requiring the digital copying of the drivers licenses. You should require your staff to SEE it, fine, that is important! but it is a most dangerous thing for this component of proof of personal identity to be in digital form and stored by you. In an era when Equifax and MAJOR companies get hacked and personal ID stolen willy-nilly, why in the world would any of us trust you folks to keep your digital data secure?????? I don't trust the digital world. I can see it is useful but it is dangerous and we should all be reducing our reliance on it!!!!! Not expanding it. Meanwhile---I am totally pleased that in my case the billing statement showed that you DID treat me well and you did the right things to my account. Your customer service staff were also very PROMPT in responding to my email. Thank you. It has been stressful for my family to have to move my brother to a safe senior community and to do the down-sizing, and the actual time spent moving was a very tiring experience. But it went well enough. Now--just make sure you protect digital information and maybe even reduce your reliance on it.

I signed up for the 24/7 reservation system and was a little skeptical and nervous that it was not going to work, and I had NO wiggle room in my schedule for any glitches with getting a rental truck. But alas, when the time came it did indeed work, and it worked quite well! It's actually a pretty smooth system!

Trailer was not cleaned prior to my pickup, it looked and smelled like it was used for farm animal hauling. There was a substance smeared on the bottom of the trailer in which I hope was mud. The odor was the worse part, it smelled like a barn yard pen.

The trailer I reserved that was confirmed for my 5:30pm pickup was not there. I even called the pick up location that day to confirm I would have a trailer, and the lady I spoke to said it is guaranteed to be there. When I arrived at 5:30pm, there was no trailer. They had extended the other guy's reservation one more day and screwed me over. It messed up my moving plans and schedule. I had 5 people ready to help me move that I had to reschedule last minute. Once Uhaul finally found a trailer for me (at 6:30pm), I then had to drive 1 hour out of the way to pick up a trailer because that was the only location they could find one at. And then drive 1 hour back to my storage unit to pack up my stuff at 9pm at night.. I then got locked into my storage unit because I was there after-hours packing (it was the only day I could pack, because I was leaving at 5am the next day) and I had to wait for them to let me out of the gate, all because Uhaul didn't stay true to my reservation. It was a huge headache for me and a waste of time and gas because they messed up big time and I didn't even get a refund or discount for my troubles. I will never recommend uhaul to anyone after this experience.

Very inconvenient location, hard to load in and out of room. Had to leave vehicle unsecured and walk up and down stairs to put stuff in the storage room. Parking is not close to units. No light in storage room, had to used flashlight on phone. Bolts were sticking out of the door, they tore through two of my shirts and scratched my back. There are people living in the storage units. Definitely a sketchy area. Much nicer storage units for less money in the area. No prorated refund upon leaving, just paid for another month on the 7th (about 140 for a small unit), moved out on the 9th, nothing credited back.

The employee helping me was doing her best to assist, but she had been dealt a bad hand. I showed up with a reservation for a storage unit, but the whole hallway of units had been freshly painted and I couldn’t move in, couldn’t empty the trailer that was scheduled for return that day, and ended up wasting a lot of time and fuel. They did extend my trailer reservation at no cost, which I appreciate. Hopefully, move-in today will go more smoothly.
