Upon loading our van onto an auto transport, the u-haul equipment gashed a hole in our gas tank. We ended up going to small claims court because u-haul refused to pay. The court and u-haul claimed it was our responsibility to make sure nothing would go wrong. However, we were never given advance notice of any possible problem. It was loaded as per directions. We will NEVER use u-haul products for as long as we live. One of the worst experiences we've had with any business. We would NEVER recommend them to any of our friends. This review won't change anybody's use of u-haul, nor does the company care about anything but their bottom line, but we had to say it. It cost us almost $1000.00

The self-checkout app was having trouble so I had to checkout at the counter (which was fine since there was no line). The mileage on the truck was off by a couple of miles.

I needed to make a quick trip to the transfer station so I dropped in to rent a van. One was immediately available and reasonably priced. The Uhaul personnel were very helpful and efficient. They made the trip easy and quick.

Make sure trailers have lights working. Mine had All lights not working on left side as bad wiring and I got pulled over twice by police.. I was able to show contract and they let me go. Please suspend that trailer from renting until fixed. I know others would not be as lucky.

The person who checked me out on return seemed to be under the influence of marijuana. Then when I got into my ride's car after check out, the other check in person started backing a U-Haul truck into us, we honked, then he stopped about a foot short of hitting our car. I don't know how he couldn't have seen us there when he got into the truck... Either clueless, stoned like the other employee, or he was teasing us for fun. This was not the drop off location I originally booked. I was called after I picked up my truck and moved my things that I couldn't bring the truck back to where I had booked, in a close convenient place, because they had too many trucks there. So I had to drive further than I expected in terrible traffic to another location with sub par employees. I feel like it should be your company's problem to move the trucks around to obtain the right numbers at different locations...I should have been able to return the truck where I had booked to return it.

I reserved a van online the day before. I was hoping to use the method of unlocking a key at the location and not having to wait in line. Unfortunately, the van I was assigned was blocked in by another van and I had to go to the desk to have that changed. It took a while. This location is notoriously slow for counter service. Will probably try again next time. The self-service method is a good idea.

Customer service is lame. Woman did the check-in was fairly surly. She said the truck was out back. I went out back and 3 trucks were there with doors open and engines running and no human in sight. Bringing the truck back was pleasant and quick.

I had a reservation to pick up the trailer at 7am. The employee was a hour late to work. Half way through the trip I wanted to see if I could drop off at a different location, I was told that drop-off would cost $702. I decided to skip that. When I arrived at the original location to drop the trailer the new employee could not get the hitch off. It was not his fault, the trailer hitch was way too heavy for a single person to due easily. A jack should be close by but non were in site. I offered mine and after about 15 minutes we got it off. Overall not a good day for uhal.

Staff was unfriendly at check-in. Even though I did the smartphone check-in, I still had to wait approximately 10 minutes while staff finished up telephone call, which is not what was advertised. Upon pick up, the van's cab was covered in long dog hair...yuck! Upon return, outside staff ignored that I had driven up to the return area. I had to go inside, at which time outside staff came and offered to process return.

The MV trailers are old. I experienced an issue with poor information from a U-Haul rep, however, the customer service rep went out of her way to make things right. She went as far as tracking down the store manager on a Saturday. Great job U-Haul customer service, for saving the day!

Shandra did a great job helping our day get off to a good start. Your computer/telephone/printing systems still have problems, as they did the last time I was at your store. The staff works around the problems and keeps things moving, but hopefully the technology issues will eventually be resolved.

Other than the usual long wait at all U-Hauls, it was OK. The one complaint I had is that I was told I had until 4:00 the next day to bring the pickup back to keep from being charged an extra day. I brought it back around 3ish and was charged for 2 days. I should have said something then, but didn't think the guys on duty would know anything other than what the computer was showing, so I just left. Also, the mileage rate is way too high. I wanted to rent a car, but the rental place was closed when I got there. That's how I ended up renting a U-Haul in the first place. From now on, I'll make sure I make it to the rental agency before they close. My plan is to avoid U-Haul like the plague.

Hi I am so disappointment 1st the person how to attend me Mathew was charging me another truck because he confused my name as Maria Conde instead of Ivan Conde I told him my name was Ivan and he did not take it in the account. After he forces me to get out of the truck and told me he was confused with the customer. After that he did not explain to me if I deliver the truck after hours I was going to be an additional fee for $20 dlls I would like to get those 20 dlls because I was not explained to this situation. I've used this location for almost 30 years. My parents also rented from this location since the U Haul opened. (we live right down the street) Great location. Always good for me! I only wish they had frequent flyer miles. Thanks!

I was given a van that had no exterior damage or problems , yet, after roughly 3 to 5 minutes inside the vehicle i was met with a horrible stench coming from the cargo area. I’ve had the unfortunate experience of smelling rotten flesh of dead animals and the smell inside that van (BE4322Y) was on par with dead animal flesh that had been left out in 120 degrees heat to rot. It was offensive, horrendous and maybe even criminal. No human being should ever have to suffer in such a way when it’s completely avoidable. There is a very good chance that i will use the U-haul brand again in the near future and would not like a repeat experience such as today. Thank you, an almost satisfied customer.

I AM SICK OF RESERVING 26' TRUCKS, GETTING A CONFIRMATION, SHOWING UP AND GETTING DOWNSIZED!!! The time JUST before this (last week) I was told I needed to drive to a different location for the larger truck. So I did. To get there and get THE SAME SMALLER TRUCK. I lost 4 hours of moving time and the extra moving space I planned on... The employees had NOTHING to do with me not having the vehicle. This problem belongs to U-Haul. Picture it: "Yeah, I'd like a fillet mignon, medium-rare, please." "Certainly sir!" (meal arrives). "Hey? What's with the hot dog? I ordered a steak." "We don't have any steak, sir... but don't worry. Your hot dog costs the same as the steak." yeah. You'd be pretty pissed off too. I'm skipping U-haul from now on and telling EVERYONE I know what has happened. Social media, here I come!

I reserved for a 23 hr rental and after I left I got a call that I needed to return it before 6am because they had someone reserve the trailer and they needed it for that person. Made me feel like my reservation wasn’t worth anything other people come first. I paid for something to only use it a few hours and return

I booked it online at one place and then it automatically re-booked me at another which is farther away which doubles the price of the rental without notifying me of the increased cost. This almost caused me to cancel my rental and I will definitely think twice before booking at uhaul again

I am giving this an acceptable rating based on this location's convenience, but something has gone very wrong here. My October 27 experience here was excellent - friendly and helpful employees. My November 24 experience was the opposite. The man at check-in was sullen and unfriendly, as if this was the last place he wanted to be. He told me there were 3 men in the yard to help remove the hand truck and blankets from the truck. Two of the young men in the yard were just fooling around, promised to help, and then promptly disappeared. I found the only yard employee actually "working", and he very nicely helped, but when I told him about the other two, he just laughed. This place needs a supervisor to get it back under control and restore decent customer service.

We spent 30 min trying to return the truck after hours because both the website and app were being problematic. We even called customer service and they urged us to install and use the app instead of checking the car in for us. We installed the app on two phones and tried to check in without success. Eventually we parked the truck on site in the returns and just put the keys in the drop box.

The card reader wasn't working so the employee had to type all of my information in by hand. So fix that card reader I guess is the only improvement I can think of.

I stopped into this location the night before I needed a Uhaul to reserve a truck for before this locations opening time the next day. When I arrived to pick up my truck the following morning, my reservation didn’t exist. After spending 30 minutes reserving day of, the truck I was assigned to was boxed in. I had to wait for an employee to arrive to assist me. I was late picking up items I needed this truck for. When I returned this truck, we were met at the truck and told we were good to go and they would send me an email receipt. This truck was returned at 10:30 a.m. once I finally received an email receipt, the receipt stated the truck was returned after 12:30.

Although the service was good and the equipment as well, I was charged $54 for 24 hours, and then extended for 3 day’s and it was an additional $450!!! This is absurd and makes no sense. If I can find another company next time, You will lose a customer.

Upon picking up the trailer, a contract was signed allowing me to drop off the trailer in Kirkland WA. However, when I went to drop the trailer off, I was not allowed and was instructed to drive and drop the trailer in Kenmore (45 minutes from Kirkland). Upon arriving in Kenmore, I was not allowed to drop off the trailer and was instructed to drop off in Shoreline (Seattle) (another 40 minute drive). (3) three hours later, I arrived home. This process should have taken 10 minutes at the contracted location in Kirkland. The customer service at Uhaul is as poor as I've seen. I was told a at each location, there is no reimbursement allowed for my time, mileage or gas, and that dropping off the trailer was "not their problem". I can assure you, I will not rent or suggest using your services again.

The staff at both facilities I dealt with in Phoenix and Shoreline were amazing!!! Both managers were fantastic and a special shout out to Julian Whalen in Shoreline, he was friendly and very helpful.
