The 21126 44th Ave W Lynnwood, WA location did not arrange for a drop box pick-up and was not open when advertised. As a result, I had to call the Regional U-Haul Office and move my paid reservation to another location. This cost me and my fellow volunteer moving people an hour out of our day. I reserved a truck for 6:30am and online pickup. I got a confirmation email at 1:00 am that said it would be ready. when I arrived, My reservation was switched to 7:00. Please do a better job cleaning the windows, there's nothing like getting into a vehicle you've never driven, and are unfamiliar with, and you can barely see out the windows or use the mirrors due to glare on the streaks all over every surface. It's a safety hazard, and sort of gross.Paul M.
POST YOUR "LOCATION BARCODE" NEXT TO THE FRONT DOOR. We spent 20 minutes trying to find the location barcode. There are a dozen green "24/7 return" signs scattered about the property that are up to about six feet tall/wide. Several are by the marked "Customer Entrance" to the rental OFFICE area, and its second door, and the storage lockers entrances. NONE OF THOSE have the "location barcode" on them. We finally found the damn barcode (1/2" x 1-1/2") on a tiny one square foot sign on the garage door jamb of the maintenance area, as ABSOLUTELY FAR AWAY as it could be WALL mounted from the "Customer Entrance". Since you require the barcode for "24/7 return", put the damn thing where people would expect it to be, you know, sort of by, the like, FRONT DOOR, Clearly Marked, "CUSTOMER ENTRANCE". This was â€œicing on the cakeâ€ for an irritating experience. I rented a 6' x 12' utility trailer with a tailgate, because it had the highest payload, from a location on the way to the jobsite. The pickup confirmation was for a location 8 miles the other way and for a trailer with a ramp that takes 700 lbs off the tare weight of the trailer. They finally gave me the tailgate trailer, but it was still in the opposite direction, AND Straightening out THEIR mix-up took two phone calls and 3 trips from the office area to pickup area. Total WASTED TIME on this rental was over two hours.Ryan R.

I felt like a burden to your staff and there was no flexibility in the online reservation or in person. I made a 2-day reservation and was told at pickup that I had less than 12 hours. This is the last time I will use U-haul. Every time I try to rent equipment, I have one issue or another and am treated poorly. I tried the online check-in this time, which was much easier, until I went to pick everything up. I had to remind them I included dolly's and pads, and the man who loaded them acted like I was putting him out. The way the trucks get filled for fuel is also a rip-off. How are you supposed to guess how much gas to put in, when it doesn't start with a full tank? I spent $20 more on fuel than I needed to and don't mileage get credit for that. Nice.Shelley A.

Parking here could be a little tight from time to time but they have always had me processed, both out and back in, so quickly is has never been an issue for me. You can see them cleaning each vehicle as it is returned. They have great customer service and all the supplies you may need. I will be back in spring for my next rental. A huge word of caution, I found the web page to be a huge mistake when it came to ordering the equipment since it is very poorly designed. The reservation process was the most stressful experience imaginable. I was told on 2 separate occasions. First my reservation was being pushed back 2.5 hours and being moved to another location, I called the new location and was on hold for 25 minutes and then told to call back because the computer was being slow. I end up calling a few times and ended up with my noon pick up time again (the correct time). An hour later I receive a call saying my time is now pushed back to 4 or 4:30. I had people coming to help me move at 12:30 and was told now for the second time after noon had been confirmed that it wasn't gonna happen. How does this happen? Reservations that are made online and/or over the phone and confirmation is received should not have to go through this the day before pick up. Very frustrating.ANDREW W.

I booked a large storage space online and confirmed it with the Uhall corporate office. However, when I arrived at the facility, They not only did not have my reservation, they didn't even have any large storage spaces available. The counter rep was rude and did not offer any help. As a result, I was forced to get a small space to unload my current truck, but was unable to continue my move. I was then forced to get a space as Public Storage, and in effect had to have two storage facilities for 2 months. We drove in a Uhaul truck for 9 hours for this move. As time was getting tight, we called the office to understand how we could get into our unit If we arrived after hours. We were told that they couldn't help us and that we needed to go online. We skipped all other stops and arrived at 4:57 - three minutes before the office closed. As I walked in the office manager told one Employees to lock the door before anyone else came in. Then he proceeded to tell me that he could not help me and that I needed so go online. I stood in front of the man and stumbled through the online experience. I received my access code and went outdoors to the keypad. The code did not work. I went back to the office and knocked on the door. I told the manager that the code wasn't working. He told me that there was nothing he could do and that rather than using my security code, I could just wait until one of the others moving in opened the door. He said that without the security code at the front door, and alarm would go off when I opened our unit, but to just ignore that - it would go off in 10 seconds. The only person at this location who helped was Jade. After the day manager left, she came out and helped us with the security code and gave us their cell number for text questions. I have security concerns about this location. Your office manager is a very poor representation of the company. We were helped by a manager at the facility. He was very helpful but we ran into problems with a unit that was locked that shouldn't be. He said he would give us a month free because of the Hassle. But at the end of our visit I realized that he didn't know what he was doing ( not to mention also on prescription drugs because of a surgery and at work...). He could not finish our transition that day for some reason and said that I would get a call the next day to finish the transaction and it will be all set. I never got a call. I have a busy schedule so this is not something that is top of my priority. He said he would get it fixed for me and yet he never did. A week passed and I didn't get a call so when I had time I would call into the store but no one would ever pick up. My boyfriend tried calling as well and would be sent to an external number. We then received late fee because we didn't pay our bill but that wasn't our fault. The only reason we got this issue solved was because we drove all the way back to the uhaul store and talked with the guy who was supposed to fix this issue weeks ago! This was the worst customer service I have ever experience. First off, your employees should not be working if they are on medication and supposed to be home recovering. He probably messed this whole situation up because he wasn't thinking straight. This has been a very poor experience. I am upset that I could not even get ahold of a single employee who works at this location on the phone, I had to drive all the way back when I was told I wouldn't have to and it would be worked out. I am very very disappointed and do not see myself recommending this location to anyone I know. The only place to access a ramp is always blocked by signs and advertising trailer making it near to impossible to back a trailer in. The storage and return vehicles constantly blocks access to ramps especially low ramps convenient for trailers.the back entrance is always blocked by a truck preventing you from coming in from the other side which would make it somewhat easier to back trailer in. When you do get backed in return trucks constantly block your egress and it is difficult to get an employee to move them. When a load was getting away from me on a truck an employee refused to help and let my load fall over then refused to give be me a hand righting it. Another person at the loading dock actually helped me. Staff was constenty dismissive and slow. There is not enough staff for work load. A couple times homeless in facility asking for access to the bathroom. Having to earn the trust over the first several months, as stated by the friendly staff, to gain the "priviledge" of 24hr access (as advertised, ironically) was a testament of the #U-Haul corporations lack of belief in the herd values of the community.
