It was overall a really positive experience, except that the man checking us in made a BLATANT political comment about how we shouldn’t donate toward Uhaul’s environmental campaign. It was completely inappropriate.

We rent trailers a couple times a year. This time was the most miserable experience. The "new" computer system didn't take any of the information I entered online. The process took over 1/2 hour when it should take less than 10 minutes. Additionally, your policy to confirm a second phone number in case you can't reach me is ridiculous. You have my number, address, drivers license and credit card. Accept some ownership/responsibility and leave 3rd party people out of our interaction.

When we were picking up the truck, the employee was quite unfriendly and at one point even yelled at my husband to move so a delivery driver could put a pallet where he was standing. The facility itself is nicer than most of the uhaul locations I've visited but the man (Shane maybe?) needs some customer service training.

My issue is not with the pick up location, but rather the drop off location (Seattle Vault Storage). I picked the truck up on 12/30, at the Lynnwood, WA location as documented on my reservation at approximately 10:15am. Prior to this, I called U-Haul customer service and told them I was running late but that I would be there by 10:30am. I asked the customer service representative if I could return the truck this evening instead of tomorrow morning. She confirmed that I could. I arrived at Seattle Vault Self Storage at approximately 3:30pm. There was nobody behind the desk. I waited for approximately 10 minutes, but nobody came to help. I needed to leave, so I dropped my contract and the keys in the drop box. Then I attempted to complete the return steps online via uhaul.com, but when I logged in, I noticed there was a different drop off location listed. When I arrived home at approximately 4pm, I called Uhaul customer service because I wanted to verify everything was alright with the return. The woman I spoke with asked for the reservation number, and told me the vehicle had been checked in and everything was fine. Approximately, 10 minutes later, I received a phone call from a woman at Seattle Vault Self Storage stating that I returned the vehicle to the incorrect location and that I needed to come back and pick it up to return it to the correct location or I would be charged double. She tried to tell me that I received a phone call from Uhaul regarding the drop off change, but I did not receive any communication from Uhaul or Seattle Vault regarding any change to the contract. The woman was abrasive on the phone and became rude when I told her I would not be returning to relocate the truck. Pretty bad experience.

The gentleman that helped me check in (I was having issues on my phone) was amazing, kind and patient and the camaraderie between your staff was really, REALLY fun and refreshing to see in a business! I WILL use this location whenever I need a rental.

My answer "no" is NOT about the local company. It is the invasive manner in which UHaul conducts business requiring me to use my own cell phone to photograph my drivers license and other digital and phone related requirements that to me, were over the top.

I am very concerned that you are asking people to take a photo of their drivers license and post it on the internet. It further concerns me that you are requiring your staff to do this. This is the absolute WORST thing you can do from a technology and physical security perspective. You are putting people's physical and logical security at high risk by doing this. I suggest you go back to making a copy of the drivers license and use the copy, should issues occur. Until I hear of resolution of this issue there will be no more UHaul rentals.

U-Haul Contract 29399858. Did a daily rental for at least 5 days to store furniture while refinishing floors. Knowing this your rental agent did not advise of the Patriot Lease $299 for 14 days. Further cost to rent pads was per day rather than per rental which was not disclosed online pricing. Bottom line I feel that U-Haul's promise of the lowest cost was false as YOUR experts did not fully advise & disclose the details & best way to structure the rental. I would appreciate a call from the area manager discuss an adjustment of the charges. TY ,,,,,,,, BG TANZER 425 478 7399

Great guys work here. Helpful, informative, and doing more then required to make sure I had a good experience. The Check out person was good but the check in person was exceptional. The check in person also helped the checkout person when there was a hiccup in my reservation when I went to pick up the trailer. I wish I remembered their names.

1. Nice to have a usb outlet for keeping your cellphone alive for google maps or music maybe especially when you are driving over a very long distance. 2.When it was time to return the van the office was closed. I had no clear instruction on where to go and what to do to return the van. I had to call uhaul and get the instruction. The instruction is also in the brochure that we get from uhaul but for first time renters of uhaul it could be pretty stressful just to know how to return it.

Having to both supply a phone number for someone and then have your office call that person to verify I am who I say I am is absolutely absurd. Especially since I have rented from you several times. I am looking forward to renting from a competitor of yours in the future who won't treat a loyal customer like a potential criminal.

A lot. I was late picking up the equipment and I was going to pay cash. The employee my reservation was not valid anymore since I was past the time. however, I said I needed one. THe E stated that he can provide me with one way reservation and that I need to drop it off to another place. This was 1/4 of a mile from where I was moving into and the drop off was 2 miles further and I dropped off my car in this location. I took it and I needed to pay 4 times the rate of $19.95 plus $ 100 deposit. Upon inspecting the unit, I noticed it did not have a ramp and I wanted one w ramp since I was moving by myself and difficult w/o a ramp. E stated that I needea bigger unit which I declined but he stated he would pitch in a hand truck. I did not need ne since I already have one hand trucjk and 3 dollies. I assumed it was free since he was pitching it in. My move was only about 5 miles roundtrip. When I returned the truck to the other location, I was charged for the truck for $14 which I questioned The manager told me that I had to dispute that with the original location. Took the bus over and talked to the manager and questioned the charge for the truck. He stated that the store does not offer trucks for free but he would talked to the original person who billed me. I also mentioned and questioned the way I was charged 4 times the original $ 19.95 going one way and paying cash though I only missed the reservation time. Basically, not very happy and will tell firends about my experience and considering mentioning this on Yelp and other sites.

This is a small location in an old building, but there were absolutely no problems. I see that there is some new "red tape" to rent a vehicle and this surprised me.

Trailer I reserved not available. Uhaul says" drive one hour north and there is your trailer". Ridiculous. If Uhaul wasn't a monopoly I would go elsewhere. This customer service is pathetic.

We had the absolute best service at this u-haul location. It was quick and painless, well as painless as moving can be. Staff was all very knowledgeable and friendly.

Associate couldn’t not burp while sitting in front of me at his desk. His tone is rude and condescending. Customer service poor. Back of van was wet inside. Had to wipe it down so the furniture wouldn’t get wet. Van wasn’t full to begin with so I filled as much to get it close if not greater than starting. Hopefully I don’t get fees not not filling. I borrowed a Van to move a bed for an hour all into which summed to $80. Should’ve asked around more but I was in a hurry. Future moves I wouldn’t anticipate using Uhaul again. I paid just a little over $100 moving from Portland to Seattle. I paid $80 for Seattle to Renton.

The young man checking me in at the drop off location was an excellent ambassador for your company. The location was set up very well, and while the weather was pleasant, the check in was under a canopy, which would have been welcome had it been raining or snowing. The location was well organized and tidy.

Arriving early after being shipped x-country, our U-box with its contents was secured in a shipping container on site thus keeping it dry. The crew set up our car to tow the U-box on a trailer.

I got a UBox and talked with the employee there who said to let him know when I was finished to ship it. Came back and he box had shipped prior to me being finished. The box was going 3500 miles away

This is 2nd u box move. dates confirmed in emails do not match what the stores have. The employees at the uhaul sites had limited skill on the software program and had to call other sites.
