1. Make sure the trailers that are rented are safe on the road. The first trailer I rented had a bent wheel or axle. 2. The second trailer was not hitched up correctly and decoupled from the truck in Bossier City, LA when I hit a bump on the interstate. No injuries occurred and the property in the trailer was fine, but for an hour it was a touchy situation. It all came back to the Jackson office.Nathan G.

Reserved trailer rental 5 days out. Pickup at 9:15am "guaranteed". On pick up day, no trailer. Sent to another location 30 min drive away that has one. No trailer. Neither I nor on location personnel could get anyone on the phone calling different numbers. Drove to move items without a trailer in my pickup truck. By now it is after 12 noon on a 2 hour drive 1 way and then back. Then @1:30 unhaul calls to ask if I am going to get the trailer at the 2nd location. After explaing the details, they got me a trailer for 1pm the Next day. Which they did have and that trailer was good except the move took 2 trips and 2 days when all could have happened in 1 day, 1 trip.GLEN T.
Make sure when a customer orders a dolly it is accessible. I order a dolly and staff told me there was not one. The truck I ordered didn't even have a ramp to make moving that much easier. Staff at this location last name Thomas showed no effort to try and help find a dolly for me since I ordered it. While talking to him staff walked out to answer his cell phone which was unprofessional.Titus D.
There was confusion in the order process. We ordered a trailer and were sent a confirmation number to call. However, the day before we were to pickup the trailer the pickup location changed. We confirmed at the new location. When I went to pickup the trailer it was not there. The gentleman at the Gibralter Rd. Jackson, MS location was very polite and helped locate me a trailer, which I went to pickup at the Hwy 80 Jackson, MS location. The lady at the Hwy 80 location was rude and unhelpful. Other than one person, the U-Haul experience was pleasant.LESLEY R.

Make sure that the open trailer size is the size that's advertised. The 5x9 open trailer that I rented had chains welded to the tailgate and trailer bed that prevented my riding mower from being loaded. I was not aware of this until I reached the dealer to pick up my repaired riding mower. I rented a 5x9 open trailer to take my mower to the dealer with no problems. That one had no chains on the tailgate. I was told to come back or call and talk to the manager, Monday, July 12, 2021 because only the manager can approve a refund or store credit for the rental because I left with it. All I wanted was a refund or store credit minus the insurance.LAZARUS T.

Improve customer service. The employee that helped me was on her personal phone the entire time she was helping me, got my phone number incorrect, accused me of giving her the wrong phone number, assumed my debit card was a prepaid card when it was a business debit card (don't know if it's because of my demographic but I didn't appreciate the assumption) and when I called ahead I was immediately put on hold for nearly five minutes. When I arrived there were no other customers in the store. So yeah, increase the customer service training when hiring.JUSTIN R.

This was the MOST AWFUL experience I HAVE EVER HAD!!!! Locations kept changing equipment, web site stated they where available and then location would call and say they did NOT have the equipment! Your company made me rent a truck that I did NOT request and because of YOUR AWFUL web site, I had to PAY 54 miles extra to drive to the OTHER SIDE OF TOWN just to get a TRUCK I DID NOT ASK FOR OR RESERVE!!!!!! A COMPLETE SHIT SHOW..........................WILL NEVER TELL ANYONE TO RENT FROM YOUR COMPANY!!!!ROSCOE G.

Uhaul provided me with the WORST experience ever! My whole move was ruined! They changed my location from my local city and I had to drive almost 2 hours to pick up my truck. Get to the location THERE IS NO TRUCK! And all Uhaul had to offer was a $50 refund. I had to call corporate & They ended up finding me a truck an hour and a half further. So that's 3 hours I had to drive to pick up a truck. Had to pay even more money than I originally had to. Then 2.5 hours back. Just to get home and load up to drive 2 more hours to my new home. This was by far the worst experience ever and I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND UHAUL EVER!!!!TAYLOR F.

My location was moved TWICE. I ended up having to drive to 3 separate locations to try to retrieve my truck. Both of the first two stores had employees that were extremely rude, unhelpful and seemed bothered to have a customer in their store who wanted to give them business. Horrible service. When I did finally get my truck it was a 20 mile round-trip from my original location request which cost me an extra $20. That was a horrible way to do business in my opinion. Not helpful and cost me money. I will probably never use UHaul service again and will tell all of my friends and business partners to avoid UHaul services in Jackson as well. Terrible experience. Keep Tony as an employee. He was absolutely phenomenal and incredibly helpful. I rented a 15' truck, as well as a trailer to haul a Ford Sport Trac pickup. He was off work, but stayed to ensure my Ford truck was loaded properly and securely to the trailer. I'm so grateful he was there to assist. However, what would be helpful is ensuring locations have the equipment requested and paid for for rental. This was of no fault to this location but an apparent problem when renting online.ARMICA M.

The pick up location was aweful. The guy at the desk was very unfriendly, did not communicate well, did not offer any services such as insurance, very unprofessional, lacked interest in his job, was very uninformative, and did not answer questions he was asked. We asked him to show us certain features of the truck, and he refused to get up out of his chair and go outside. In addition, I reserved an appliance hand truck and we were told they didn't have any to rent to us, there were none in the Jackson market, nor do they ever have any. This was the worst experience I have ever encountered with Uhaul.LYNETTE H.

I have used this facility before and didn't have a problem. Unfortunately this was not one of those times. There was a leak in my storage unit and most of my belongings were ruined!!!!!!! The unit reeked of Mildew. Mold covered my furniture, luggage, shoes,and clothes it was awful!!!!! The staff at the location just gave me a number to call and said they have nothing to do with insurance claims!!!! There was no empathy or compassion, shown toward me, It actually could have helped me feel a little better about the situation, but, I guess it's still just business as usual for them. Now, it's not their fault my unit leaked, however, I will NEVER use uhaul again!!!!! The facility was dirty. The gentlemen that helped us was in NO hurry whatsoever. I had a deadline and he could have cared less. He told me the system was down so my access card would not work so he would have to walk down there to let me in. However, he then started helping someone else so I had to wait about 10 more minutes for him to finish that. The whole experience left a lot to be desired. I called in ahead of time and was told I was good, when I got there he had a million questions, many of which I thought were totally unneccessary. However if they were necessary, I wish I could have done that over the phone when I called. It would have saved me a lot of time.
