I marked the vehicle as clean because I was happy to have the van for a few hours to destage a house in Bothell. The windshield and side view mirrors we very dirty and covered in streaks from being wiped on the inside. You know the streaks… What I find particularly dismaying is being charged an after hours fee for having to use the night drop and the ride share app not working (same as when I tried to pick up. As a result, my tank was marked as empty, charge a fuel fee in addition to $77 in gas. In reality, the tank was a little more than an 1/8 more full than when I picked it up. (I have the pics to prove it) AND… I drove the vehicle 40 miles and somehow used 9/16 of a tank of gas? This isn't negligent…it's at worst, crooked…carelessly stupid at best. There is a reason I have been using Hertz. They don't turn a $20 van rental into $225 with shady tactics. I will be happy to take this same review to Yelp and anywhere else U-Haul is listed. Thank you very much for charging me $226 for a 4.5 hour rental. Never again. Next call is to AMEX to dispute the charges.

The kid that attended me had a bad attitude since I got there. Probably because it was an 8 AM pick up but still felt awkward. After that he connected the 4-pin, but it had some electrical tape on it. I didn't think much about it, but we realized two days later (driving at night) that this wire was shorting and caused the fuse on the harness to open. We were driving without trailer lights for 2 nights. I can also confirm that the tires were not well maintained. I had a blow out the second day of a 5 day road trip. Luckily the road-side assistance for uhual is awesome and but this delayed us for a bit on those two days.

I would recommend this location to anyone, however I would tell them to go straight to the location and deal with the people there directly. The employees at this location works so hard because the call center is absolutely horrible to work with. I don't even bother calling U-Haul anymore because I am never helped. I give this location all the stars, I give U-Haul in general zero stars. Your call center is literally the worst I've ever dealt with.

We had our reservation for 12 pm on Friday July 29. We were under the impression we could pick it up at any time after 12 on that day. My wife showed up at 5 pm, and was told the trailer we had reserved had been released, and that our 12 pm appointment was effectivly like a doctor's appointment. We were told by the location manager a phone call had been made and a message left to come and get the trailer. I never received a call or a message. This was incredibly frustrating. After my wife became upset, that lead to tears. After the tears, then the manager decided there might be something that could be done, and about 2 hours later we were told a trailer would be available for us and to come pick it up.

I was also charged here after dropping off. This was the location I had reserved and then was told I could only return it in Renton or shoreline, again extremely out of the way and far away from interbay, the location I reserved. I was charged another 50$ here which now adds up to about $150 more than my reservation estimate. Again HONOR reservations

How about not advertising “19.99 per day” on your vehicles, when in reality I paid $60.00, for literally 2 hours.. One hour less than the estimated time. Also filled the tank, so it's not like those charges were for any negligence on my part; your company simply thrives on false advertising. So, stop lying u-haul.

The first U-Haul Van I picked up had a turn signal out so I had to come back and swap it out for a second one. Also, I prefer the Ford Transit van for smooth driving over the Chevy option and they had one on site at the U-Haul office but couldn't find the key for it. Overall, the people were great but the equipment could have been better.

My containers were never delivered. We ended up having to drive down to the tukwila location. Kaitlyn gomez and Adam were the only people who made the experience bearable. The tukwila location was an absolute crap show. In tukwila I was yelled at multiple times just trying to get them to drop the containers so we could start loading.

I get that the location has limited parking, but making me park down the street on a busy thoroughfare was a huge pain point for me. Also, when I dropped off the truck after hours, it asked me to scan the location code, and I couldn't find it. I had to hit back and retry to go forward, at which point it auto located my location.

These folks went ABOVE and BEYOND. After being scheduled to return equipment here initially, THEN being told a day before we hit the road that I needed to return to an incredibly inconvenient location, Interbay agent Kate assured me it wasn't so after I called. When I called closer to the return arrival, I was snottily told that I was delaying other peoples rentals by not returning to the sudden change in return locations. First of all, YOUR company changed the agreement, and gave me an unreasonable return location. Second, that agent needs a lesson in customer service. It isn't my job to get your equipment where it is needed, my only job as your customer is to get MY belongings where I need them, and then return your truck to the nearest location. Period. I would've been stranded that far away from my initially committed to drop off, and was LIVID that UHaul would do such a thing. Kate singlehandedly saved your company a scathing and well spread negative review, while taking so much stress off of my shoulders as someone who just drove for 14 hours. I will never rent from another Seattle area location PERIOD. If equipment isn't avaliable there, I will go to another company due to poor treatment from other location agents in comparison to Kate's dedication to actual customer service.

Convenient location - picking up while people are dropping off was challenging due to limited space and minimal coordination. We arrived at 7.30am (they stated a 7am opening time) staff didn't arrive until 8.30am however one of the two staff members gave us exceptional customer service.

My rental was mostly excellent with one bit of awful - this location seems grossly understaffed. Arriving on time I was disappointed to find that doing complete checkin online in advance did not speed me up and I was stuck 4th in line. On the other hand, it was a pleasant shock that my Chevy van was fast, quiet, economical, and had only 14,000k miles.

The cab of the truck was full of potting soil at pickup with only 1/8th of a tank of gas. I had to put gas in the truck just to get to my apartment and this required a purchase at a very expensive inner city station. Also the pick up location selected at scheduling was not an option on a Sunday and this was not noted in the initial scheduling thus the need to travel further to obtain the truck.

I purchased a storage unit online the day of move-in. When I got to the unit, after office hours but during access hours, my unit had a lock on it that was from the U-Haul office. This lock, and any instructions about the lock were not mentioned at all in the materials I received when purchasing the unit. I was on the phone with customer service for 40 minutes with 3 different agents, all of whom said the lock was not supposed to be there. None of them could help me get into the unit or transfer to a different unit. I ended up having to leave and come back the next morning which was an extreme inconvenience for me and my friends helping me move. Come to find out, this particular U-Haul location started putting locks on their units because of a recent break in, so you have to come in person during office hours to get the lock removed and get a special key card. None of this was mentioned during the online purchase, there's obviously a major communication problem between corporate and individual locations, and unfortunately the customers have to pay the price for that. Not dealing with U-Haul again if I can help it, don't want to take the chance on another blunder

There was water leaking from the garage door into the building all the time. The storage unit was also not true to the size advertised, as there was a beam cutting into the 9x5 space, making the allowable storage space smaller.

You probably know that this facility has been a nightmare for a number of years. I had a storage unit there for a year and a half and the few times I was there (picking up moving boxes, etc.) you had been some of the most bizarre, angry and unprofessional people working AND it was always a huge disorganized mess. Your computer system is completely inadequate for the volume of business you do at that store! The person waiting on me Saturday said he had been brought in to clean up the mess but the office and store area is still trashed and you seem to be understaffed. However, he was professional and friendly - a huge improvement. I can't answer the questions about available hours and up until Saturday I would have rated everything beyond poor- it felt dangerous. So, some of my comments are shaded by the unprecedented experiences I had in the past.. NOTE: I hadn't been at the site August 2019. I would say your grade would be NI - needs improvement. (but much better than the past)
