Offer to give the renter a quick walk around the truck to familiarize them with the mechanisms. How the ramp works, parking brake ( I had not used a manual parking brake in decades and had to ask where the release was). So.e of us only rent a truck k every couple of decades to move a home. An extra moment of instruction should be offered.

The Everett location was great! A bit hard to get in and out of but overall great! Having to bypass closer locations due to no equipment or no ability to rent out after 1:30pm really sucked because it left me in heavy traffic with an unladen car dolly on the highway.

My uhaul location was changed to fit the companies needs and not mine as paying customer and then weren't even flexible in allowing me to drop off at the original pick up location. They were super slow and had to make repairs just for me to even be able to see to drive the vehicle.

The location was fine, my issues are with U Haul policies. When I picked up my truck rental the fuel level was incorrect and I was told I needed to take a photo and send to a web site to have corrected. I would have been happier if the service rep at the location could have corrected this at the pick up location. The other thing that I was not happy with was having a hand truck and pads on the unit even though I did not want them and I had to work around them while using the truck. These two issues were disappointing. So the location was fine but the over all issues using U Haul will have me select another rental company in future needs.

Furniture pads were overkill/tooooo many. Never told me they had to be in containers when picked up. They were outside of containers under cover so wouldn't get wet NOW saying i'm going to get charged for them because they didn't take extras when containers were picked up!!! Then called Everette office to get 1 more container and spoke to a very rude hateful guy saying he was the supv/mgr!! Said that couldn't get to July/August. Now I had to get a trucking company to pick up and ship the rest of my stuff that would only take one container that's some BS and he is was as rude as he could possibly be I don't know if he's there I can't remember if his name was Charles or what but I was so angry I don't remember his name. Because of this rude experience by this gentleman I will never use U-Haul again any of my friends family anything else my Facebook friends I will definitely let them know not to use U-Haul. Uhaul was the worst experience I've ever had

Communication is unbelievably bad. When I left a message for the station I was going to be be picking up the trailer, I received no reply. When I told them about it the owner informed me that they do not receive the messages and that it happens all the time and corporate was aware and had not fixed the problem. This was a major issue. I requested the trailer at 0830 and was confirmed. The day before the pickup, I was advised that it would not be available until 1200. I sent a message to the local station, no reply. I tried to call your 800 number, what a joke, 30 minute wait time. Pitiful. The trailer was in great condition and everything else was smooth. Check in was perfect, friendly staff and very quick, thank you. Your communication department needs to fix the issues of customer requests and replies to them. Reserving a trailer at 0830 and then it not being available until noon and not finding out the night before pickup? Unacceptable. You need to fix your communication problems, quickly or it will cost you customers.

The truck had virtually no gas (less than an 8th of a tank). It was dirty inside and obviously not cleaned. The process of getting the truck+trailer took almost 45mins. It was a very cramped space and difficult to get out of.

Our crate was broken into the last time we visited, which we notified staff. When our crate arrived at out home this time the lock was damaged, it had a rubber cover on the outside of the lock, it was almost completely removed. Like someone was trying to brake into it again. A jar that I have had all my life is missing along with the contents. Not worth a lot just something I had.

I used the online rental process and missed picking up my appliance dolly. It turned out that I didn't need it, but it would be helpful to remind customers or place it in the vehicle before the customer arrives.

It was extremely difficult to complete my reservation due to the fact that there is no transparency whatsoever with the call center nobody told me if I was paying cash that I would need to pay $60 nor did anyone say that I would need a major debit or credit card for it to go through nor did anyone tell me beforehand that I would need a driver's license / ID and passport and or lease agreement basically two forms of ID I should never have had this issue in the first place it should have been taken care of I would not recommend U-Haul to any of my family or friends it wasn't until after I contacted the CEO of U-Haul that I was able to complete my reservation for the trailer

Very busy store, I arrived 30 mins early and there were around 6 - 8 people in the line. When we were done with the paperwork there were 10 - 15 people in line behind us. Gal at the desk was very busy and did her job very well. Truck was smoked in and stunk. Windsheild was filthy inside and out. Cab, bed of truck and body were filthy! Did not want to side my items in bed to move them. Truck body was very dinged up. Contract said 3/4 tank gas and there was only 1/2 tank.

Dropping off was chaotic with trucks piled up and no where to drop off trailers since it was blocked with trucks. It was a holiday weekend with minimal staffing, so its the best they can do at the time.

1)was never called prior to delivery of containers. 2)although I had figured the cube for what we were moving, it did not figure in the cube of the pads. We did not use the majority of pads, so we ran out of room and had to leave behind about $1000 of personal property. 3)although a rep from uhaul guaranteed a 5/27 arrival, it happened on 5/18, throwing all plans into disarray. 4) info from destination terminal, concerning MovingHelp was not accurate and the was told that they really didn't know anything about them(set up two companies and neither one replied. 5)employee at destination terminal shared" that there is no communication between different depts at destination term". suggest getting an Ops Mgr. I was Terminal Mgr for Roadway and Ops mgr for DOD transportation companies, so I do know what I am talking about.

Insurance is high pressure and the quality and integrity of the product is far past poor and compromised. They say that decals are hundreds of dollars if you choose not to get insurance and after charging for large claims they only place a tiny x marker over so they can continue to keep charging and falsify insurance claims. also gas did not measure what the lady at the counter marked on my paper it had in it. and vehicle had many issues with it and only good experience I endured was returning it the man was nice and did his best to let my child and I feel as comfortable with their shady practices as possible.

Crystal delivered the U-Box container in WA and was extremely helpful! Great personality and very knowledgeable! She was the only one who could really give me the most up to date info on the entire process. After speaking with literally 10 people she was the one who was the most helpful. Thank you Crystal! Overall it was a very positive experience and would recommend U-Box containers to anyone in need of a move cross country or any move. Awesome!

U Haul employee accused me of returning the vehicle I had rented for 5 days as dirty and unrentable. I had spent thirty minutes cleaning the truck and making sure the truck was clean. He explained it was up to his discretion... Or maybe they are trained to say that so they can add the additional $25. I don't remember the person who released the vehicle to me pointing out the wonderful fragrance of their trucks, and to keep the scent of their trucks to that level. All three employees standing at the front desk, with no clients waiting, used the explanation that they are not janitors. That's good because, that would be an insult to any janitor I've known. I have rented from U haul for 15 years for my company. I do not understand why customer loyalty has been dismissed. Many other choices for truck rentals. U Haul will not be on my list.

When I dropped off the trailer they were too busy to help me. When I went inside to ask for help I was told to wait till I got help from someone outside. When I got help it was from the guy inside and he made sure that I new he was mad and was not happy with me.

They up charge you for everything! They even try to sell you blankets when those are included in the rental but you only learn this after you have the rental. My 30$ trailer ended up costing around $80. They have a responsibility to explain what your vehicle needs on the phone when the appointment is set NOT when you are there for pickup 30 minutes before close. Additionally, I had to wait 15 minutes ALONE in the office until finally I scoured the grounds to locate someone to help me. Had they been where they should have been given the four onsite employees I saw, I would have had the time prior to close to drive the 5 minutes to my house and back to get what my vehicle needed to hook the trailer up. But nope, the lead gal, probably the manager was unfriendly and unreasonable. I'm just barely getting by financially and those extra $50 is quite literally food. The whole thing was disgusting and sleazy. I hope this isn't Uhal's business model! The young man who helped was considerate and professional. He tried his best to cover over the rudeness of his higher up.

I don't blame the location where I finally received the vehicle, but I was completely irritated by my experience renting this truck. I made my reservation on the website for a pick up site that said it would have the vehicle. Right after I submitted the reservation, I got a call that the location wouldn't have that vehicle and I would need to pick it up from a different one. A day or 2 later, I get another call that the person who would have the vehicle before me wouldn't be dropping it off until after the location had closed, so I was asked to change my pickup time. The day I went to get the truck, I was 3 minutes from the location at the time I was supposed to pick it up and I get another call. This time I was told that I wouldn't have a vehicle at the location I was supposed to pick up from and that I would have to drive 15 more miles out of my way just to get it. Needless to say, this really pissed me off because I had estimated that I would only need it for 25 miles, but now I would drive 25+ miles just to get the vehicle and return it. While I drove by the second pickup location, there were 2 trucks sitting it their lot. I was not happy at all. The Evergreen location got me the keys quickly and the vehicle was very clean, the rest of the experience was awful.

First and foremost the truck drove like it had a serious exhaust leak, completely gutless and almost to the point of a safety issue that either wasn't checked or looked over. This being said, overall very unhappy with the equipment in general.

To management: please staff your location properly. You have great staff who could do so much more if they had proper staffing. Having only 2 people working during the weekend in moving season is not fair to your employees. They are going to get burnt out and you will lose them. Respect and value them. Die to the short staffing there were rental returns blocking cars trying to leave. This is unacceptable.

The location was very slow on getting me a truck. I reserved a 26' truck, and received a call from UHAUL about 2hrs later saying there were no 26' trucks available. They asked if I would accept a 20' truck. I said yes. They changed my location of pick-up. I arrived at location of pick-up and my 20' truck was given to someone else. After 20 min, I was told to go to this location to get my truck. After 30 min at this location (waiting), I received a VERY DIRY truck that was not cleaned and the fuel tank was on EMPTY. The truck was so dirty, that I had to wipe down the interior myself. The windows were horrible.

I arrived at the location on weds evening 45 minutes before closing. I waited at the counter while an associate sat at the desk in the office behind the counter (door open and in view) texting on her phone and another associate was fidgeting with the air conditioner on the wall. No one greeted me or said “It'll be just a moment, or I'll be right with you” so I waited and waited while they chatted back and forth, before Christine finally got up from the desk and came to the counter to help me. By the time we had it hooked up and all lights tested, We left the u haul parking lot at closing time (7:00 pm) but our rental agreement showed 6:15, which I noticed later. On Friday morning at opening time, when i returned it, I asked if the second day charge could be reduced to 4 hrs instead of extra 24 hrs. I was told that was not possible. I asked if the 11$ insurance charge for the second 24 hr charge could be waived. I was told that was not possible. We rented a small motorcycle trailer and it rattled severely when we left the rental lot with it empty. We pulled over at an empty parking lot about a mile down the road and discovered the tongue was not properly secured over the ball and was banging up and down over an inch, causing the excessive knocking. We were NOT told at the time we rented the trailer to leave it attached when we returned it, so an associate could verify all the lights were still working. When We pulled in to return trailer 15 minutes before the store opened Friday morning. An associate was in the lot where we pulled in and never said anything to us as we disconnected it in front of him. Then when I went in to settle our rental costs, Christine, the same associate that rented the trailer to us, informed me, not once, but twice for future reference, to leave the trailer hooked up until all functions could be verified, and now they would have to hook it up to a vehicle to check. Why didn't the associate that saw us disconnect the trailer inform us ? Why didn't she share that information when we rented it so we would know in advance rather than embarrass and humiliate me in front of the customers waiting in line behind me? It was very embarrassing to be treated so rudely in front of the customers waiting in line behind me, when communication in advance would have clearly alleviated the issue. We were only trying to be helpful, and instead I felt chastised. I will never rent from this u haul location again, and be sure to inform My friends of my discriminatory treatment. Probably better to rent from small family owned location. Every interaction with every associate at this location was cold and rude, unfriendly and felt very discriminatory.

I only rented a pod and never saw the facility. I would not recommend a pod. They are cheaply made, offer no security, and the inabiliity to choose when it will be delivered, is a deal breaker.

Self-storage unit was used. Staff, both for drop-off and pick-up were very communicative, prompt, friendly, and professional. The storage unit was clean and remained dry, despite heavy rains.

Being unable to access uboxes on Sunday was inconvenient, since I can only make it on weekends. That being said, the staff were very helpful & accomodated me on Sunday. Very helpful. Great service.

This was a nightmare. I hired Uhaul to bring 3 Uboxes from Chicago to Washington, only to find out on the day before delivery that they won't take them the final 50 miles. DO NOT USE UBOX.

The u box wearhouse is at the back of the building. No proper sign boards. And could not figure out where the front desk is. Was standing outside for several minutes before the attendant came out.
