This was my first time using U-Haul and I'm in consideration of never using them again I had a horrible experience here especially at this location I was supposed to pick up my rental at 7 am through Mobile pick up and some error happened and I had to wait until 9 am when the store open to see a rep. Then to top it off once they open the lady that helped me Amber M to be exact was extremely rude I told her about my situation how I had to pick up my truck at 7 am and it was already close to 9 and I still haven't left the property she quote on quote said “I can't help you with that right now you'll have to wait till we open I have other things to do” then she was not only rude to me but also some other customers that were having issues as well I lost 3 hours of my rental time because of poor customer service I had to rush to to do my things in order to return truck on time once truck was turned in she looks at me and says with an attitude are you picking up or dropping off she went on to say it's not her fault she's new to the location it's her first day there I am extremely disappointed at this first experience I hope U-Haul looks into who they hire as my experience her with you guys was horrible I hope I get some sort of feedback or reach out to me as this was unacceptable

The only issue I had is there was not adequate lighting After sun set, which means my visits were restricted to daylight hours. Although I would not recommend this storage facility, the storage facility in Mesa (Which I rent) is clean well lit and managed very well.

Was yelled at by Uhaul employee while I had Uhaul customer service rep on the line with me whom witnessed this very uncalled for treatment. I asked numerous times to speak with the Manager Jazmin Flores who completely ignored me as she walked around outside and by me a few times as I was on the phone with uhaul CS. Both made me feel as if I were an inconvenience. I was lied to, humiliated, mistreated and never got an apology. Jazmin’s position as a manager needs to be reevaluated as she seems to be having issues managing two location as well as lack of mannerisms towards paying customers such as myself. Horrible experience! I filed a formal complaint so I am anxious to await the follow up and if I will ever get an apology.

- The site offers FREE locks per unit if online was used for setup and move in. However , I wasn’t able to receive the link or code. I was told to let the location know and they would give me the locks. However, they were currently out of stock. - location was not able to enter my smid ID to get my 20%discount for UHI employee. I was told the GM would contact me on Monday (today) on both items. On Monday I was called. Both issues were resolved.

Moved out in time and have photo evidence. Called corporate support line who said they messaged management. Management never got back to me. My unit was empty and clean before the due date and then I was not allowed to submit the photos until two month’s worth was paid. Unprofessional and unhelpful.

I would have rated excellent but: - there wasn’t anyone at this location office and there were times I would call the office number and no one answered. - electric sliding door to our interior unit broken one of the only times we were able to go and we had to alert the property through the corporate service number because the local office did not answer my call several times and no one called me back after leaving multiple voice mails - when I was able to talk with someone they were friendly The - tire mobile app is terrible. I tried to sign up multiple times and was never able to create an account so then had to call the office when I had a question or needed help with billing

Staff were not easy to work with often not available locally so. This experience was terrible. Some of our property was stolen from our storage unit. I immediately reported the theft to U-Haul. It's been weeks, I'm still waiting for a call back. We will never use U-Haul again. Others, beware and look elsewhere for storage.

the staff were challenging; they didnt get our information correct several times; additionally when you call customer service they give you information about discounts that are not really true when you get to the actual store itself-all of it was more challenging than necessary. A move is challenging enough especially across several states--so having the UHAUL experience be difficult wasnt okay

Making the reservation was quick and simple. The staff was professional and friendly. The storage unit itself was clean and met my expectations . The only reason I can’t give 5 start is the fact that a new lock was “included for free” in my rental. When I checked in, all the locked were sold out and I was told “sorry, you can buy one at Walmart”

I had an excellent experience with the store manager Jazmin when I purchased the storage unit, but later on I needed to make adjustments because the unit was smaller than I expected. The person I spoke with later in the evening wouldn't swap me to a bigger unit even though I hadn't put any items inside the storage. I explained my situation & He said pictures needed to be taken blah blah. I explained to him I had just enough funds to do what I needed to do. He wanted me to extend my rental until the next day in order to get a bigger unit. This would of been a great inconvenience as I had others helping me who wouldn't be available the next day. I ended up throwing away items just to make room. I'm disappointed but oh well....I had to make it work. I would like to say he offered me a discount on the bigger unit if i waited, but it wouldn't have made sense, or made up for all the money I would of had to pay the next day...just didn't make sense to me.

I do not know that you had to go to a different address to see someone in person about my storage. There was supposed to be a lock inside of the storage and there was none.

I was left without access to my storage unit for over 4 months with gate issues. nd fees from the first date that I did not have access to my unit to the day that I received the remote. The multiple emails, phone calls, and account messages that I have sent over the last few months show that I made every effort to let U-haul know of these issues and I shouldn't have been charged. This was ultimately an oversight from U-Haul and should be corrected.

I am currently canceling my storage unit because I was given an access card to access the yard and my access card wouldn't work. I wasn't even able to get to my unit to use it!! I'm extremely upset at this whole situation because through this whole process most of the people I've dealt with have either not been able to help me or refuse to help me.

This experience was a very stressful experience because of the process being all online. My check in did not go through, I had to call the manager of this location to give me the key, and then later I could not check out because there was no direction on how to do so. When I called to try and tell someone I dropped off the keys in the box, I was on hold for 30 minutes and then was told I never got the uhual when I clearly did because the manager handed me the keys herself and then was charged the full amount after all of that. Very poor service and communication.

Too many issues to list here. Major issue was that they didn't honor the first month free storage even though I had a one way truck rental. They also assigned us to a unit that was locked and we had to drive all the way back to ask them to unlock it for us. Grievance has been filed and I'm waiting to hear back from the DM.

The key was not where it said it was , I called the 24/7 phone and I waited for 2 hours and 30 min and couldn't get into the truck ! I got charged and had to wait until next day to rent another … I was using self pick up at 9 pm and instructions said password was POLL and the lock in the back of the truck opened but the key wasn't there …

They had me pay for 24 hr access I never got them I got some kind of a move out notice in and envelope and a file. No name no date. Then I was locked out if my storage for a week and I could access the gate but not my unit. Jeffery Pickett Andy Smith and Jennifertge admin assist had a moving company come move me they left without me so I have no idea if they took anything I don’t know where they disappeared. Then threw my things in piles left things in the elevator all the way downstairs and outside of the elevator so people could not pass by. When I saw my Mohammad Aly picture with a big foot print in it I asked them to be more careful. They sent and left after I have them a tip 40 and left me hanging. No 40 dollars. To top it off one of the uhaul employees called the Scottsdale police to my new storage. WHO DO THE PEOPLE THINK THEY ARE? I HAVE PICTURES THAT LITERALLY THREW EVERYTHING INTO MY STORAGE BREAKING 1000 worth of my equipment so now I can not do any jobs because everything I own is ruined!!!! My desk was upside down somebody peed in and on my clothes. I AM A VET AND I WILL DO EVERYTHING I CAN TO GET THESE PEOPKE DISMISSED FROM UHSUL AND LET THIS COUNTRY KNOW WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE UHAUL BACKS.

Interface of doing reservations online and confirming them on arrival in the area DOES NOT WORK. We had to redo the storage reservation on arrival. The change delayed return of the trailer and the original agreement of 30 days free storage for using the trailer was not honored.

The guys there at the office were rude and disrespectful. The unit the sold me was been used by someone else with a lock on it. When I tried talking to two guys there, they simply ignored me. Donivan was Excellent He bent over backwards to fix this HUGH Fiasco. My U-Haul storage reservation was confirmed 3 times last week before I droved to 1905 E Apache Blvd, Tempe, AZ .The Movers & I get to the correct place 9am.only to find out They have NO STORAGE units. I had to drive to another Uhaul 800 N McClintock dr, & drive to another 500 N Scottsdale FINALY by1pm Donivan find me a unit to unload the Uhaul truck. I Had My Movers for 2 Hrs at 9am NOT 6 hours. Donivan & His crew get the 5 stars. I Demand compensation for the MAJOR inconvenience we went through driving to 3 uhauls. How can Uhaul be so incompetent???

I have had issues with my storage since February 21 . First my auto pay stopped without notice and I was charged a late fee as I was unaware it was stopped ! Then I was supposed to be moved to a diff unit with first month free per Cody - but was billed for it anyway and got another late fee ! There is a complaint open with a callback from Donovan 2 weeks ago to rectify my issues ! Nothing - called again after on 7/6 my account was debited without authorization ! No resolutions to my 2 late fees that need to be waived and after 7 years I am super disappointed ! Can somebody pls fix this ?

I was one of the 60 tenants that had one of their units broken into and all of my stuff was taken and I was not notified until weeks later. And your so-called insurance that you have is refusing to pay me anything because they were all vintage tools that I don’t have receipts for. This place is so unprofessional it’s mind boggling. the only reason why I didn’t move out sooner was because of the pandemic. I have had so many issues with this property I can’t even explain them all and I will tell everyone I know to NEVER do business with Uhaul. I’m glad that it’s being torn down.

Reaching the property manager by phone was always a challenge. The local number always rang into the central call center and they always took a message that was never returned. Emails had to be sent 2-3 times before receiving a response, or a return email wasn't sent. The property office was permanently closed which made it inconvenient to have to go to a second location to speak with staff. The on site restroom wasn't clean. I moved out of the unit on 3/21/21, in response to management informing tenants that we had to vacate by 3/22/21, due to facility renovation. I emailed Donovan Holloway on 3/21/21, attaching 2 pictures showing that unit 446 was vacated that day and requesting information about a credit for 10 unused days of rent for March. That same email was forwarded to Donovan on 3/23/21. No response was received. On 3/27/21 Donovan sent a generic email noting a storage move out date of 3/26/21, and requesting completion of a survey. I expect an email response noting a credit amount and when it will be issued.

The mgrs Jeri & Ethan Eddy were great! They were friendly & always available. However lately, there has been no one in the ofc...so no one to rate. Leaving because I was informed that this location was set for demolition & they were not renewing contracts. Otherwise, I would have gladly stayed.

We were given a 3 week notice that we needed to leave b/c you are tearing the location down. I double checked the hours of operation with the person who emailed us to let us know the location was closing because we were driving down from Flagstaff, and arrived on Sunday to find that our code didn't work and no one in the office. Fortunately, a worker at another location pulled up behind us, and his card wouldn't allow him access either and he had to go back to his office to gain access and told us he would get us access. He came back 20 min later, but that code wouldn't work either. He spent another 5 min on the phone and finally got access, and we could clean out our unit. I appreciate his assistance--otherwise we wouldn't have been able to clean out our unit.

My experience was great up until I terminated the contract and was then badgered for more than a year about continuing to pay for it. I explained the situation on multiple occasions to multiple personnel from UHaul but no one paid any attention and the harassment continued. I eventually contracted with a lawyer to send a cease-and-desist order. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this email means it's finally over.

The manager on the lot was a ..... .Her dog was out of control along with her mouth. She can not keep control of the dog . Dog gets out of its collar and is gonna bite someone . Was the worst experience I have had with a storage facility. I complained and got kickedcked out.

App provided me with the incorrect Truck # So the key didn't work. Got resolved, but a waste of time. Was SHOCKED that when I got into the truck, it was below a 1/4 tank and almost on EMPTY. Was NOT pleased about that.

We moved from California. Our things were in storage longer than planned but when we first arrived Donovian (hope I spelled that correctly) help us the entire way. His service was above and beyond from helping us load and making sure our storage was locked correctly. Other staff members at this location were also extremely helpful. They made our move very smooth.

I still don't have a correct gate code after a week of renting space. Have not heard from the manager or store at all. I spent 5 hours waiting outside the gate. Finally got in by another customer.. I had to pay an extra day for trailer because of it. And quite frankly am very upset at the location and corporate uhaul.. I am going to be calling corporate office.

The staff were great. The unit as fine. However, the computer system was bad and caused many issues. When we arrived knowing we had a guaranteed spot we found out that the unit the system reserved did not exist at this location and that the facility was very full with very limited options. The system had also reserved us 2 non-existent RV parking spots when what we needed was a small unit for residential furniture. The staff worked hard and found us the last unit available which was 10x10. We were just happy to have somewhere to unload the furniture from the UHaul, Not having an onsite person was inconvenient with all the issues. Also, the card access was not working 4 hours after I checked in and was assigned the unit. This caused another scramble to get in to unload. All in all the computer system failed big time.

I've never rented a storage that I had to exit my car to go to the wall and swipe my card then run back and hope to get my car through the gate before it closes like I did here. The first half of the month the gate was broken and the lady who manages the site is rude af every time I encountered her. Very mean òld lady. She would give customers grief that she had to work the gate and told us that we had less than 1hr to get everything into storage at 8pm because she didn't want to wait on us. The office is not located on site so if I needed assistance I'd have to drive to the office and back to the the storage site. It's definitely not somewhere I'd rent from again. I do like that my stuff wasn't in the sun melting and had air. It is not kept cool enough to keep from sweating but it's cooler than outside. I do like the carts provided to carry items from the car/ truck to the storage.

On the morning of 3/24/20 my locker, and apparently dozens of others, were broken into and substantially emptied of its contents. Certainly I, and probably others, had no idea that the facility was so wanting in security that someone could enter it, evidently with a large truck, and spend hours casually breaking into and pillaging lockers.

Reserved facility online and directed to go to old town Scottsdale location to sign paperwork. Went there and they no longer do that for the location i reserved so they sent me to another location. Good staff, not trained properly , had to go back again. Waste of time. Location where I have a unit I dont feel is secure. I read in the news that several units had been broken into at the end of March. The location I rented as is Tempe Town Lake. Has security cameras but no sure if there is any one on location because someone from another location had to come open the gate

When we arrived there was no one at this location so we had to go over to the U-Haul on McClintock per the sign on the door to get help getting into our storage unit for the first time. I want to give a HUGE shoutout and thanks to Davis at that location. He totally took care of us. We were trying to get my daughters dorm room stuff moved into storage and catch our flight. Please let Davis (And his manager) know we made our flight because of his help. Really appreciate him!

I had a terrible experience with customer service at a location in Tempe on north Scottsdale road. They had me fill out my paper work and sent me to their storage location and failed to tel me that their gate system had not been working. When I went back to the office after trying to cal several times and them not answering, they said I had gone to the wrong location which was not the location that they had on their map. I went to the new location they told me and when I got there the lady told me that they gave me the wrong pin and she fixed it and sent me BACK to the storage unit and when I went and swiped the card the gate STILL did not open so I had to wait for someone to come all the way down and let me in.
