I rented for the first and last time. I got attended by a new worker she did the best she can being her first week there. There was a money misunderstanding between us. I came back from what I was doing I got a bill off 2.000 dollars. I tried speaking to the manager just to clarify what happened and he was so rude his attitude was so disrespectful and his comments too.JOSE Q.
The team was very nice and accommodating. We were fortunate to have Tiana on onsite at the time of our visit. She was an essential in the coordination of our UBox rental. Tiana went above an upon to make sure we knew the right place to go for the rental and who to connect with. We arrived at the East Sprague Ave, where Lisa greeted us with a smile. Lisa helped correct issues and frustrations we experienced from a call with the Traffic line. She worked quickly and efficiently to make sure all necessary steps were in place for a successful rental. Both ladies were very knowledgeable in U-Haul operations, had a pleasant and professional attitude.MICHAEL R.

I was really disappointed in how the condition of the tow dolly was then not even 20 minutes of driving I had to pull over because the chains were not hooked up correctly from the U-Haul employee I got to my car that I was towing and the ratchets wouldn't even work because they where so rusty I had to stop what I was doing and go to the parts store and get lube for them because they wouldn't even move then the straps there so frayed I could barely put them in I was a little disappointed in how the employees kept there tow dollies I would like to ask for some sort of reimbursement Thank you David HarringtonDAVID H.

Upon check-in of equipment the gal that checked the fuel gage insisted 2X that we did not have it at the correct fuel level and would have to pay the surcharge. She even checked it twice upon my insistance. She said "I know how to read fuel gages; I do this all day!" She said it rudely and with an attitude. Well I know how to read fuel gages too and demanded to talk with a manager who verified the Gage was as I stated...right where it was supposed to be. He refunded me the surcharge. But there was no apology. From this experience I have to conclude that as long as that gal has been working she has been ripping off customers. Uhaul corporate needs to do an audit of her checking compared to other employees at other locations and see if her fuel surcharges are way higher and if so she needs to be fired. Also this was the 10 ft bed uhaul. I will never rent one that small again. It bounces all over the place like you are in a jump house while empty as well as full. I have used all the other larger sizes and never had that bouncy experience. I just didn't need a big truck this time. Spending 10.00 more a day would have made it not bouncy and that small truck got horrible gas mileage so there was no savings in fuel usage either.SCOTT T.

Customer service was great. The equipment was in less than stellar condition. The first truck we were assigned had a punctured tire so we had to wait while they unburied a second truck and switched the paperwork. The battery died on this truck in the yard after a 15 minute load with only the light in the back on. We had to jump it in order to complete our move. Put us way behind schedule and people were waiting on the other end. SUPER frustrating! Returning after hours was just as bad since for some unknown reason you require account creation to return a truck you ALREADY have all my information for. The Cares site would not let me create an account saying I already had one but also would not let me sign in because either my email or password was wrong. I couldn't say forgot password. At this point I gave up. It was late, snowing and we still had a 75 minute drive home. I dropped the key in the box and was promptly charged the next morning for not returning it properly. Pretty expensive. Very misleading 19.95 and then after mileage and insurance and tax $109. Advertise more accurately would be nice and a reasonable amount. It seems after covid consumers are getting price gouged. I get it money has been lost...but many of us are in the same position as big business and struggle to pay fees that have increased due to businesses wanting more and more income for their bottom line. I am willing to pay a fair price but 109 was a bit steep.MARION C.

My reservation was made at a location close to my house almost 2 months in advance but I was sent to the North Division location for pick-up (an hour out of my way) and told that I also had to return to this same location instead of the one close to me. This wasted a significant amount of time and fuel on my part.IVAN R.
They gave me an appliance dolly that was old, strap was torn, paint peeling. I asked if I could have a newer one, which they had about ten newer ones, and she said this is the one signed out for you. We would have to redo the whole thing and walked off. They are lazy as hell and the dude that works there talks so damn loud you can't hear the person helping you. The car dolly should not have been released for use. The driver side car ramp would not lock into place. Fell out when loading the vehicle could have hurt someone or damaged the vehicle being loaded. Driving back home the same ramp was coming out of the storage slot. If it actually did leave it could injure or kill someone and I would have been responsible for not securing the load.ANDREW I.

Rented a trailer. My truck turns out had blown fuse so the trailer lights wouldn't work. Folks at the office troubleshot the problem, identified the problem (which blown fuse) and replaced it and got me on my way. They were very proactive and the efforts were much appreciated.DONALD D.

There were tons of U-Haul vehicles on the lot. It made it extremely difficult to find the right truck. Staff didn't seem to want to help. When I asked one employee where I could locate it, he randomly pointed and said â€œsomewhere over there I think.â€Andrew B.
The poor employees were set up for chaos because the branch manager Travis gave away our 26 ft truck to another person earlier that day. We reserved this way ahead of time and arrived to find our teuck was given away and we had to settle for a 20 ft truck. In turn we had an additional trip to the new house. Furious. Make sure everything on the truck works BEFORE assigning it to a customer. We were put behind schedule because we had to switch trucks and no one available to redo the contract right away. I told them I was paying to people by the hour and they were putting me way behind but my complaint fell of deaf ears. The truck we ultimately got is in serious need of U joints! It cluncks very loud when shifting into gear and when shifting gears while driving.Sarah A.
Customer service had me drive all the way to a location in Elk, WA and the equipment wasn't going to be there at all. Too many phone calls to try and straighten out all the mess. Not enough blankets , The storage unit my sister is renting in Chandler, AZ was changed as the other unit was in the heat and wasn't adequate. Our reservations was not honored at original location. Equipment that we wound up with did not meet our needs. Don't give me a broken truck! I had issues with the brakes, headlights, brake lights, parking brake, mirrors, back door sticking, and coolant! Everything was great, until we returned the vehicle. We dropped it off at the assigned location utilizing the after-hours option. Immediately after completing the transaction we received a text telling us we would be billed nearly $100 for "dropping off the truck at the wrong location". We found this difficult to believe, as we were still sitting in the parking lot and the address matched the one on our contract. Then we receive a text telling us we had driven 36 extra miles and would be billed for them. We calculated the mileage from the rental facility in Spokane, to the address where we picked up our cargo, to the address where we dropped off our cargo, to the turn-in facility...and we were within two miles of that total. The individual calculating the mileage did NOT account for the distance between our cargo drop-off point and the nearest equipment turn-in facility. We managed to speak with customer service; the extremely nice young lady stated they would look into the matter. So far, we have not incurred any additional charges...which is good. But the fact that we received these messages means there was no small amount of confusion at UHaul. Hopefully, this experience was a "one-off", and future customers (us included) won't have to face them again. Thank you for your time and consideration. Tom ReichertTHOMAS TRACY R.
