The truck had a huge exhaust leak and the shifter felt like it was going to fall off. Had trouble getting it out of reverse. The gentleman that checked us in was quite rude.

BRITTANY D. | Overall ExperienceYour U-Box system is not centralized resulting in the customer being forced to talk with staff who know nothing about the U-box process and thus cannot answer questions or solve problems. In addition, it requires customers to deal with staff from varying locations which is frustrating - again because the system information is so fragmented. Boxes in transit are not adequately tracked and thus staff cannot provide customers with real-time information regarding the status of their boxes. Another problem with the lack of centralization is that billing events occur as originally scheduled and not in connections with events happening in real-time. During this process I received bills for things that had not occurred or for events I was promised I would not be billed for as my shipment was late due to no fault of my own. This issue of billing being separate from events on the ground, resulted in time being wasted (mine and your staff's) on telephone calls that were unnecessary. My boxes were picked up late, shipped late, and arrived late. Given the current state of affairs in trucking and transportation, I can understand that issue, but find it hard to understand from a national company is what seems to be an unorganized and disjointed system. That issue, in my opinion, you can and should fix. Maybee consider consolidating all U-box operations under one roof and ensure that your warehouse and Transporation staff are well trained so that boxes can be tracked accurately. Lastly connect all business operations, such as billing, to the real-time tracking of U-boxes. In regard to your staff in Columbus, OH; I would like to commend both Jennifer and Maya for their outstanding customer service. However, Angel does not seem to possess a customer service attitude. I delt with her on two occasions (avoiding her at all costs afterward) and came away from both angry. She is defensive and argumentative. During the 2nd call, I felt in necessary to call her out, reminding her that I was the customer, and it was her job to deal with my problems, which she either could not or would not resolve. To be fair, your system issues regarding the lack of centralization is not her problem, but her approach to the issue and attitude about it are. When I asked to speak to her supervisor, her solution to that request was to tell me there was no supervisor available (If that is true, then you certainly have other issues that likely need to be addressed as well). I am not suggesting that she is a bad person or a bad employee, those issues I cannot speak to. However, given my experience with her, I am of the opinion that she does not belong in a customer service position as she did not represent your company well in dealing with my issues. I thank you for your time and hope you find my feedback specific enough to be constructive.
Kevin I.I Haul use to move equipment around to make it in locall areas. We had a 120 mile round trip to get to this location. The week before we rented another uhaul truck. You couldn't deliver the 26' we reserved and we had to use a 20'. Over all we had to many 450 + mile trips to make. At 5$ a gallon+ for fuel. You guys made a killing on our move
Toni F.It is poor service when you book this to show up at a location and it doesn't go there because they won't handle them. Why is it an option on your website if they can't handle them. This cost me extra time and money for the fuel needed to go to a further away location. Poor service at pick up location as well

While it was nice getting charged less then what gas costs - the notion that I got charged after having to spend the fuel money to drive that far out of my way is obscene.

Tammy D.It would be useful to have the representative to inform you that the glass packing kit includes a box that is not packaged with the kit, and that you will need to grab one separately. As one would be fully aware, moving can be stressful enough, and any hiccups avoided would be greatly appreciated. When we got to my daughter's apartment to assist with packing, I opened the glass packing kit to find out that there was no box included in the package. What a disappointment, as the package clearly states that “box with handle includedâ€. And no where in the store where I picked up the kit did it note that box is included box, but you will need to grab one as not packaged with the kit. When returning the rental truck back, I explained the situation and kindly asked to return the kit as it was not used due to no box was included. The representative apologized for not letting me know that I needed to grab a box on my way out and indicated because I had opened the “kitâ€, it was not returnable. It was clear that I didn't utilized the kit. He directly me to another gentlemen and was told the same and proceeded to say that he would give me a “free†box. I'm a bit puzzled as to why he would say, “freeâ€, when I paid for it but was not told that it was not packaged with the kit? I felt that the two gentlemen's customer service was poor and felt that they didn't offer any help nor given me any time to explain the reason of my displeased with their service. With this experience, it's said that I do not have any desire to continue to use this location nor would I recommend to use the Nib Hill location for their moving need.
EDNA M.The only issue I had was the communication of truck pick up venue change from 1st Street to Nob Hill could have been much clearer. I did not even know the Nob Hill location existed. Now I do! Everything else was great!
Michael S.Rent for two days not know how things would go. Returned it 22 hours earlier. This was our 5 I haul rental in the last 2- months. The above questions should allow a rating system. The previous time we rented the equipment and service was good. Mike has been great ever time. The other gentleman I can't say that.

Robert D.Great customer service after we'd been waiting in line behind some people that didn't have a clue and we watched this poor guy try as hard as he could to be patient with them and explain repeatedly that he didn't have the information the person was looking for, that they'd need to contact their return location. He was probably emotionally drained by the time we got to the front of the line, and he was still kind and courteous to us and kept good humor. Kuddos on a rough day!

(Signs may have been by only one entrance? ) Overall, staff at this location were not friendly, surly even. Would not come back to this location.

I left this place amazed if his customer service and taking tht xtra step. Thanks I will definitely send some people to this uhaul place on E. Nob hill and doing my business here. " so my response was, I'm sorry Sir, I didn't know that you guys were doing the free month with the rental of a storage, and needed to be In person. That's not what the online website says.. I ask to see if they can do the next month for free. He said No and did not give me a reason, why?.. He didn't even give me a receipt to confirm my purchase, like I requested. ( I have it in my email ). This is not how I wanted to start my business with you guys, but since I really needed the unit, I didn't have no choice. ¡Gracias!
