on my second day of driving the 17' truck, I encountered rain during dark hours. When I turned the wipers on, one of the blades was shredded on the end and both blades were rotten and cracked. This causes a very dangerous condition where I had to drive while looking at the rear view mirrors to make sure I was still in my lane until I could get off the freeway and onto the shoulder. This was a most dangerous condition caused by negligence and laziness. When I picked the car hauler trailer up, the lights did not work. I finally found a blown fuse in the engine compartment and replaced it. The fuse blew again while driving somewhere between Idaho and Nevada. The Nevada State Police informed me of such.

And the guy who I dropped the car off to I think his name was mike, he was very helpful and just the whole place was nice. Out u-boxes were delayed because the driver was sick, we were told over the phone that they could be picked up on Saturday, but then the driver who dropped them off said the earliest was the following Wednesday. When they arrived, they were bolted shut. The driver said they were supposed to be opened, but she had no tools to open them, and unaware that this problem might arise, our tools were in the u-boxes. Had an employee at the local hardware store shown us the kindness of lending us his drill, we would have had to buy a $100+ drill to open u-boxes that should have been open when they were dropped off. U-haul is a total mess--we had so many issues with the company from start to finish--and while there are great individual employees who work for the company, overall I find the customer service to be completely apathetic to their customers, and their business model to be only about the bottom line, not about actually creating a positive experience for their customers.

Store manager was always rude and never failed to make smart comments. The phone is never answered when you call. Their was always only one person helping at a desk with a line. The staff that usually opens up the storage units are always nice!

I reserved a 26' truck to move my household goods. It showed online that the equipment would be available only to get a call almost 2hrs later from Uhaul that they did not have the 26' truck. So I was given a 15' with the 4Ã-8 trailer. That caused me to have to make 3 trips instead of one and had to keep the equipment an extra day to ensure my move. I would have like to seen Uhaul accomodate customers, like myself, in that situation with better care since the short of equipment reserved was not the fault of the customer.

Worst experience from UHaul I have ever had. Customer service people are rude and flat out don't give a damn. This move was to move my daughters things for school. Was told it would be delivered on a certain date asked again are you sure this is the date it will arrive. I purchased airline tickets to be there to unload the box. Was informed the box didn't leave when it was supposed to and the delivery date would be different one or two days would not have been a big deal. 10 days because of their incompetence is a big deal and no one cared. Some lady emailed me a couple time and then would not return my emails. Those airline tickets wee $1000 and none refumdable. I could not make the trip 10 days later so had to purchase tickets to have some one else go which cost another $1000. So I'm out an additional $1000 ubaul will loose a hell of a lot more business than that. The company I work for rented from haul for local deliveries almost 200 days last year and the last couple years. After learning of this we are now renting from ryder and penske and uhaul will never see another penny of my money or my companies money. You can't treat people like this and get lied to and except to have return customers. I used to hold uhaul with high regards they were an American icon. No longer you need to get rid of every customer service person you have and start over with people who care and not just care about a paycheck!

Truck was not well maintained, a coolant hose came lose while driving spilling coolant all over the road, It was just a hose clamp that was not installed properly so I was able to repair it myself. But I had to top it off with 2 gallons of coolant that I had to go out of my way and go buy myself. So yea it was just a bad experience.

I reserved a 26ft truck more than a month ago and then they call and say its not available. Claiming they dont guarantee anything and neglect to tell you that when you make your pointless reservation. Could only get a 15ft truck and had to make 3 times more trips. WILL NEVER USE U-HAUL AGAIN

In mid May, 2021 I reserved three large storage boxes on individual trailers for a flooring project at home which was scheduled for mid July. The project required removal of furniture for approximately a week. The reservation was confirmed a week before the project. On the appointed day I went to U-Haul to secure the three boxes on trailers. After a short problem, as the store I was dealing with apparently did not receive any information about the reservation, the woman helping me was able to provide the equipment. She had three boxes on individual trailers lined up and told me those were mine pursuant to our agreement. After getting the second box and trailer home, "Jim" (last name unkown) called and informed me he had given my third box and trailer to another customer. No apology, no explanation. We had a serious conversation. I went back to the store and demanded my third box and trailer. "Jim's" attitude and statements were "Tough luck Bud." Later that same day I had a phone conversation with a woman who identified herself as "Sandra" and claimed to be in some management position. She made a lot of excuses but did not offer the missing box and trailer. She did agree I should have a refund for at least the cost of the missing storage box and trailer. I spent a total of about six hours clearing garden tools and paraphernalia out of a shed so our furniture would not be laying out on the ground during the flooring project, and then putting those same tools and paraphernalia back in the shed when the job was completed. I returned the two boxes and trailers a week later. Again no apology and no explanation. I requested my refund. The lady said nothing but nodded her head. Now one month later, I am asked to comment upon U-Hauls performance. Deal with U-Haul Yakima at your own peril. A month later, I still have no refund. U-Haul has kept $91.57 of my money and that appears to be just the cost of doing business with them. Just a side note, one of the two trailers I was given and used pursuant to our contract was about half full of trash, as well as some clean and some used furniture pads. I returned their trash and pads to them. "Jim" did apologized for giving me a trailer full of trash.

This is the second time in a month I have rented from this location. The first time was flawless. The second time checking out and getting the truck was great. The only complaint I have is that the truck was just above 1/4 tank when we got it. We didn't drive it very far and returned it without filling it so they charged me $21 for the little bit of gas I used. Two points, One, you shouldn't rent a vehicle almost out of gas. Two, when the tank is that close to empty it goes down faster because there isn't as much fuel. I didn't feel it was right to rent me a truck so close to empty then charge me for it when I checked it back in. I was disappointed, to say the least. I don't mind paying for what I use, but don't send a truck out almost empty. It's not our job as your customers to fill your trucks up.

Fuel tank wasn't full actually only 3/4 s one whole mark form full mark realized it once I filled it up to return it took 10.3 gal $40 to fill only put 33 miles total and after I filled tank seen gauge at full mark and little mad. Talk with worker he stated this happen lot but nothing he could do. He was great representing mr Guzman but I can produce receipt should be discounted I know ther e not best on miles per gallon but 3.1 mpg ain't right

The Yakima location was great. The Kent location and Renton location I would never rent from again. I had a guaranteed reservation and they had no truck available. They made me drive to the Renton location and they refused to rent me the truck they had saying it was a local truck and I was going to put to many miles on it. I would not trust U-haul ever again. They did nothing to help me after they failed to meet my original reservation. I ended up driving from Kent to Yakima to pick up a truck. The assistant manager in Renton should be fired for her customer service. She was very rude, actually grabbing the keys to the truck out of my hand after a co-worker had checked the truck out to me. Horrible Customer Service.

The guy that helped me was awesome, he was helpful and very nice and informative. Upon my visit I was just going in to rent a storage which I did (by the way storage display was very helpful) I expressed that I was moving and also needed a cargo but was going to rent one in another town upon that the guy was nice to help me find a cargo in another city and was able to book a cargo and same time and get all that set up for me. I left this place amazed if his customer service and taking tht xtra step. Thanks I will definitely send some people to this uhaul place on E. Nob hill and doing my business here. Keep up the good work.

Everything was good the only thing that would of been nice. Is that if you guys can provide info online to say that " by getting a storage unit, with the 1st month for free - needs to be In- person only" I didn't know until I went to main location, to get my storage information. When I asked the person he said " Well, I can't do anything about it, you needed to come in, in person! I ask to see if they can do the next month for free. He said No and did not give me a reason, why?.. He didn't even give me a receipt to confirm my purchase, like I requested. ( I have it in my email ). This is not how I wanted to start my business with you guys, but since I really needed the unit, I didn't have no choice. ¡Gracias!

My assigned storage room is furthest from the only working entrance. It is a huge building. There are many entrances, but they are "inoperable" and do not allow access. Staff told me it is because the building is not finished being built. The storage business hours are falsely displayed in many places and it is not 24 hour access, it isn't even regular hour access. Storage hours are the same as office hours, but nobody including staff informed me of that. I understand if hours are different due to covid, however, ALL the signs in the building and online could be updated. It is false advertising and will be reported to the BBB. There were several available storage rooms that were much closer to the only door of access so why was mine placed so far from it. Some staff members were rather rude to tell me I could "just get storage elsewhere" when I expressed my concerns. I won't recommend uhaul storage to anyone I know. Mike was the only person to help explain issues to me even though he was unable to help make it right. Basically, all staff told me to deal with it, or I could get storage elsewhere. Inconvenient location of the storage room within the huge building from the only service entrance. Falsely advertised hours of access to storage online and at the facility. Rude and unhelpful customer service.

This facility is very busy on the weekends and very under staffed. The wait time for help takes 10-15 min or longer each time ive been in there. This isnt because of a line its cause the employees are else where unaware of the people inside.

I had one of the worst experiences of my whole life at this location. My belongings got stolen from our truck the second night putting us almost 3 full days behind... I was charged over 130 dollars and treated like criminal.... I was lied too, both me and my sick girlfriend had to walk to the closes gas station since our vehicle ran out of gas on a different date... Both me and my family which is a big part of the selah -Yakima community will never rent from U-Haul again. I believe they are doing something completely unfair and wrong as they have also tried to bill me and charge my card for almost 600 dollars... which I did not authorize and will not authorize until court... you simple don't treat customers like this especially Simone who rents several times a year. I hope they never treat anyone let alone a customer they way me and my girlfriend both where treated.

Had difficult time getting access to the unit. Had a MANAGER yell about me not knowing a special key code required to access unit location. Did not know needed a key pad and pad location not easily located in office area NOT MY FAULT that wasnt made aware at time of rental.

Linsey was excellent, thorough, professional & friendly. When we were there to rent our unit she was the only employee present. She handled at least a dozen other customers. Including an upset customer, checking out & receiving rentals. I was there 90 minutes after I paid for the unit before she could show me the unit. As a manager is the past, I would say you are blessed with a caring, friendly & super professional employee. She amazed me her coping skills & professionalism.

I really liked the online option to reserve a storage unit. I was working long hours and didnt have the time to go in person and having the option to do all this online was super convenient. It was a very simple and quick process. When I pulled up to the unit, it was all ready to go with a lock and key waiting inside.

everyone at the E. Nobhill U-haul facility was friendly and helpful!
